Sendchamp is a messaging platform for businesses that want to reach customers over SMS, WhatsApp, email and voice from one account. Its homepage pitches it as a messaging platform "for growing businesses" and says you can send messages "across WhatsApp, SMS, email, and voice," with no coding skills needed to get started. The company, Sendchamp Inc., lists two addresses on its site: 142 Ahmadu Bello Way on Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria, and 2055 Limestone Road in Wilmington, Delaware.
What a sender gets
Email is one of four channels in the Channels menu, described as a way to "Send emails to your customers with high deliverability." The dedicated email page is titled "Email Marketing and Transactional Email Platform For Businesses" and splits the offer in two. Transactional emails cover OTPs and transaction notifications. Marketing emails cover product updates, feature updates and product offers. That makes Sendchamp's email product suited to the messages an app or online business sends in the course of running: verification codes, payment and order notices, and announcements to existing customers.
The other channels sit beside email in the same account. SMS is pitched on price and routing: the product menu lists a channels router, which Sendchamp uses to choose the delivery route for each text. WhatsApp lets you "Engage your customers via Whatsapp at ease," with the email page also advertising a WhatsApp Business API platform. Voice lets you "Add voice capabilities to any app, communication system." The channels section of the homepage is headed "Send, receive messages and build customer relationships across different messaging channels," so the platform handles inbound messages as well as outbound ones.
Two services sit on top of the channels. Marketing is described as an "Easy to use customer engagement platform to engage and retain customers." Verification is a "Quick solution to send OTP via sms, whatsapp, email & voice," which the homepage presents as "Multi-factor Authentication via SMS, Voice, Email, Whatsapp for your customers." Its verification section is headed "Validate users with one-time passwords through sms, voice, email, or whatsapp channels," with the promise to "Onboard and protect your customers."
The homepage organizes the customer journey into four stages, each tied to channels. Onboard is about verifying customers "swiftly with one-time passwords via SMS, email, voice & WhatsApp." Engage means sending messages across email, WhatsApp, SMS, voice "and Others." Support means helping customers "via WhatsApp automated responses, voice and emails." Retain means you "Add customers to groups, send personalized messages to build meaningful relationships." Email therefore shows up at every stage, from the first verification code to the retention message.
No-code tools and the API
Sendchamp stresses that non-developers can use it. Its no-code menu lists a verification pop-up and simulators, with forms marked "Coming Soon," and the homepage says "Widgets, Popups, Simulators, Sandbox and everything that requires no coding skill is our priority."
For developers, the homepage shows a code sample for sending an SMS through the REST API (a POST to api.sendchamp.com with a bearer access key), with tabs for Node.JS, cURL, PHP, Java and Python. The sample request sets the recipient number, the message text, a sender name and a route, with "international" as the route in the example. The developer menu adds an API reference, tutorials, guides, SDKs and libraries, a community and a status page. The homepage says the documentation and other resources are meant to get your setup done "under 10 minutes," and its closing call to action is "Get Started for free in 10 minutes." A CTO quoted on the homepage says the WhatsApp messaging service is "very easy to integrate, you could get it up and running in about 30 minutes."
Pricing, security and support
Sendchamp does not publish a rate card on these pages. What it says about pricing is that it charges per message: "We only charge for the message you send." The email page adds that it has "the most flexible payment plan," with "No set up or maintenance fees," and that "We also allow you to pay in your local currency." You can start messaging for free or talk to sales.
On security and compliance, the email page says "We have built by default enterprise-grade security to our system" and "We are also built for international laws and regulations, including GDPR."
Support is where Sendchamp makes its most concrete promise: "We ensure you get responded to within 10 minutes of asking for support during our office hours. We also offer priority/dedicated support as required." The homepage adds "We support you till you succeed with trusted support team and resources whenever you want," and lists a Lagos phone number and a contact email.
Scale and customers
The homepage gives three headline figures: 20M+ messages processed, 3M+ customers reached and a 3k+ developer community. Its testimonials come from several customers. Product manager Deborah Offor says onboarding "was straight-forward coupled with their delivery rate" and that the support team is "always ready to support at anytime." A CTO saw "a significant increase in delivery rate" after switching to the verification services. Sporting Lagos uses Sendchamp to send its community live updates "delivered in a timely manner," whatever device people use, and reports "very helpful live support from the team." The commerce platform Bumpa says Sendchamp helped it "craft a nexus between the power of commerce with the numerous opportunities in messaging," and Wirepay's CEO credits "Sendchamp’s powerful messaging technology." The use cases menu has pages for developers, marketers, creators, startups and enterprises.
Who it suits
Sendchamp fits a startup or growing business, particularly one serving customers in Nigeria, that needs email alongside SMS, WhatsApp and voice, and wants OTPs, transaction notifications and product announcements to go out from one account with one API. Fintech and commerce teams like Wirepay and Bumpa are the clearest match, with verification codes over several channels and pay-per-message billing in local currency. Developers get code samples and SDKs in five languages; marketers get the no-code pop-up and simulators.
A business looking for a full email marketing suite, with a visual newsletter editor, templates, list segmentation and automation workflows described in detail, will not find those spelled out on Sendchamp's pages. Its email offer is framed around transactional messages and product updates, sent as one channel in a wider messaging platform.
