Braze is a customer engagement platform for brands that talk to customers across many channels at once, email among them. The home page sums it up as a customer engagement platform that runs from cross-channel messaging and journey orchestration to AI-powered decisioning and optimization, under the slogan "Be Absolutely Engaging." It bundles three layers: the Braze Data Platform, which unifies customer data in real time; BrazeAI, its AI for decisioning, content and agents; and cross-channel messaging with journey orchestration on top. The site runs in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish, and says it is "made to scale with companies of all sizes", with a dedicated Braze for Startups program next to its enterprise case studies.
What a sender gets
Channels. The featured channels are email, mobile app messaging, web messaging, SMS/RCS and WhatsApp, and the product menu adds LINE, KakaoTalk and Media Audience Sync for pushing audiences into paid media. The cross-channel pitch is practical: "Every customer has a preferred way to hear from you. Braze helps you meet them there without bouncing between tools or rebuilding the same campaign over and over." The home page promises consistent, responsive experiences across every channel "from one platform."
Journey Orchestration. Braze describes this as the tool to "Create multi-step, cross-channel experiences". A journey can open with an email, move to a push or in-app message, and branch on what the customer does, all inside one flow rather than separate campaigns per channel. The use cases the site builds around it are onboarding, productivity, acquisition, churn reduction and engagement.
Braze Data Platform. The data layer is sold as "Unify, activate, and distribute your data." The home page says it connects customer signals "in real time, so you always have the full picture and can act the moment it matters, without waiting on technical teams", and that the same unified data fuels BrazeAI "to help anticipate customer behavior." Segment Builder is the named tool for understanding and building audiences from that data.
BrazeAI. The AI layer has two named products and a general assistant role:
- BrazeAI Decisioning Studio, to "Deliver 1:1 personalization, at scale".
- BrazeAI Agents, to "Scale smarter engagement with always-on AI agents".
- BrazeAI overall, which the home page says helps marketers "Build campaigns, create content, optimize performance, and discover new opportunities, all with AI built for marketers, not AI experts."
Another version of the home page promises BrazeAI will help you "launch smarter campaigns, connect with more customers, and drive the metrics that matter, without the wait", and says that with Braze and BrazeAI teams "create faster, test smarter, and keep customer engagement personal at every step." The site's resources include a Braze playbook on AI-powered customer engagement and a webinar on AI-powered experimentation, which shows where the company is pointing the product.
Creative Studio and reporting. Creative Studio, marked new on one version of the home page, is there to "Simplify creative workflows". Reporting and Analytics is for analyzing performance and uncovering insights. A "How It Works" section describes Braze's technology as vertically integrated.
Partners and developers. Braze Alloys is the partner program for technology and delivery partners, with a partner directory, pre-built partner solutions and a portal. Documentation is split into a user guide and a developer guide, and a Braze for Engineering page speaks to technical teams. A public system status page and technical support are linked from the footer.
What the site shows
Getting started and price. The home page has two calls to action side by side: "Contact Sales" and "Start a Free Trial". A Pricing link sits in the product menu, but no plan or price appears on the home page itself, so the trial's length and the cost after it are not something the home page answers.
Customer results. The case-study strip quotes four customers:
- Pizza Hut's Manager of CRM Channel Strategy credits "cross-channel integrations and targeting capabilities" across email, SMS and mobile, with a 21% increase in revenue and a 30% increase in transactions.
- BEES/Anheuser Busch-InBev reports a 15% decrease in order support and product-information tickets after sending tailored product updates.
- Virgin Red reports a 45% open rate and more than 7K click-throughs during IP warmup, a figure that matters to anyone moving email volume onto a new sending setup.
- Hugosave reports a 300% increase in the rate of clients progressing to a full account.
The site groups these stories under four outcomes it sells: increasing lifetime value, simplifying architecture, breaking down silos and growing brand love. Virgin Red's Head of Data Product says Braze helped the company put the data it already had to work and drive both engagement and acquisition faster than it expected.
Analyst recognition. The site says Braze is a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Multichannel Marketing Hubs, "placing highest in Ability to Execute and furthest in Completeness of Vision." It cites a Forrester Total Economic Impact study finding a 457% ROI and payback in under six months, a #1 ranking on G2's Push Notification Grid "ahead of 60 competitors", TrustRadius Top Rated, Buyer's Choice and Tech Cares awards in 2025, and a Leader placement in the 2023 IDC MarketScape for omni-channel marketing platforms for B2C enterprises.
Research. Braze publishes a yearly Global Customer Engagement Review. The sixth edition, for 2026, surveyed over 2,200 marketing leaders and analyzed more than 6 billion data points across more than 750 brands, per the site.
Support and learning. The support menu lists a support overview, professional services and customer success. Learning runs through Braze Learning, certification, the Bonfire customer community, a customer champion program, user documentation, a glossary, guides, videos and webinars. The company menu includes investor relations, ESG data, news and a legal section covering terms, policies and compliance.
Who it suits
Braze fits consumer brands with an app or a large digital audience and a team that runs lifecycle programs across several channels: retail and ecommerce, financial services, travel and hospitality, media and entertainment, sports, gaming and on-demand services are the industries it names. Brands whose customers live in LINE or KakaoTalk can reach them there alongside email and WhatsApp. Teams that want AI to pick the message, channel and moment per customer are the audience for Decisioning Studio and the agents.
A startup can reach it through the startup program and the free trial, but the platform's weight is in data, orchestration and AI across many channels. A newsletter writer or a small shop that only needs to send campaigns to an email list will pay, in setup and in cost, for machinery it does not use.
