What MoEngage is

MoEngage calls itself the agentic customer engagement platform, built for marketing and product teams that, in its words, don't just want to run campaigns but to win outcomes. It sends email alongside push notifications, SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, in-app and on-site messages and content cards, and connects to paid media. The company says it is trusted by 1,350+ consumer brands, naming McAfee, Flipkart, Domino's, Nestle and Deutsche Telekom in its own description, and says it helps brands engage 20% of the world's population every month, reaching 1.3 billion end consumers and analyzing 1 trillion data points a month.

The industries it targets are financial services, food and beverage, media and entertainment, travel and hospitality, and retail and ecommerce, with a separate MoEngage for Shopify offering. The site recently marked twelve years of MoEngage and announced the acquisition of Aampe.

What the platform does

The product has four layers in the site's menu.

Data and analytics. MoEngage builds activation-ready profiles and segments by combining your first-party data, cloud warehouses such as Snowflake and Databricks, and its own behavioral tracking. It can work warehouse-native, activating data directly from the warehouse, and the site says managing data from one dashboard removes laborious ETL and cleansing work. Segmentation and an analytics and insights module sit on top.

Merlin AI agents. Native agents handle copy, creative, code and more, and custom agents let a team build long-running workflow agents for its own marketing processes.

AI decisioning. Offer decisioning personalizes offers on web and app surfaces. Campaign decisioning assigns what the site calls a 1:1 agent to each customer, meant to move beyond fixed segments and journeys by choosing what each person receives.

Engagement. Cross-channel marketing puts 16+ channels on one platform so messages can be personalized and orchestrated, and customers reached on their preferred channel at their preferred time. Web and app personalization changes experiences in real time, and real-time transactional alerts send triggered messages at the moment they are needed.

Email in practice

Email is one channel among many, but the case studies show how brands use it. KAYAK says MoEngage unified its email and push into one system, let its lifecycle team build and launch without engineering, and delivers time-sensitive alerts such as price drops, gate changes and flight delays; its story reports campaign launch time cut to under a week from a month and 50% open rates on a hyper-segmented campaign. Foxwoods Resort Casino reports 3x faster campaign launches and a lift of 500+ basis points in email open rates after unifying guest data and automating tier upgrades and new member offers. Octapharma Plasma reports conversion rates of up to 35% from email A/B testing and email open rates above 35%. MoneyHero's story is titled Scaling to 2 Million Emails Per Day.

Other stories cover abandoned cart flows and journeys. One reports a 50% conversion uplift from an abandoned cart flow, another a 21.6% conversion rate for cart abandonment flows, and Coca-Cola's team says automated journeys are a one-time job for a lifetime. Loblaw took 12 weeks to onboard transactional messaging and reports a 70% cut in engineering bandwidth.

Data, agents and scale in the case studies

The stories on the homepage also show the data and AI layers at work. IndusInd Bank says it feeds its data warehouses into MoEngage to send real-time communications matched to each customer persona, and reports a 99.97% reduction in campaign go-live timelines. Swiggy's story is titled From Scheduling Campaigns to Managing Agents and describes running 6,000+ campaigns with MoEngage and Aampe, with 3x faster campaign go-lives. Policybazaar says it chose MoEngage for advanced journeys backed by a strong analytics engine. Empiricus, a SaaS business, reports a 135% increase in new customer retention from engagement flows built around onboarding goals, ABS-CBN's story covers retaining 92% of subscribers, and OLX says it cut its marketing technology costs by 60% and doubled lead conversions.

Other channels

Push is a strength the site returns to often. OYO credits Push Amplification with a 44% increase in delivery rates on Xiaomi devices, and names Dynamic Product Messaging and Intelligent Delay Optimization among the features it uses. Pizza Hut's story covers RCS business messaging with verified branding, rich media and regional language support, and Airtel Xstream reports conversion rates of 30% through WhatsApp. In-app messaging, on-site messaging and content cards cover the product side.

Integrations and developers

The site cites 300+ integrations in its menu and 250+ connectors in its app marketplace for the first-party tech stack, plus custom connectors. Support resources include a user guide, a developer hub, an API guide and a partner guide, with technology and solution partner programs. Role pages address marketers, product owners and developers separately, and the Shopify offering is pitched as personalized engagement for maximum revenue, which gives ecommerce brands a packaged route into the same platform.

Scale, security and migration

The platform menu states 99.99% uptime and 6 data centers, described as enterprise-grade. For companies moving from another platform, MoEngage offers the MoUpgrade Program and AI-assisted migration, and says 350+ brands have switched. SoundCloud reports migrating 200 live campaigns in 12 weeks, Beem completed an end-to-end migration in 50 days, and another customer moved in 3 weeks.

Recognition

The homepage lists MoEngage as a Visionary in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Personalization Engines, a Customers' Choice in Gartner Peer Insights reports for email marketing and multichannel marketing hubs in 2026, a Strong Performer in the Forrester Wave for cross-channel marketing hubs in Q4 2024, and a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for AI-enabled CDPs for B2C users.

Pricing and support

The site has a pricing link and a request-a-demo path, and offers an interactive demo. Learning resources include MoEngage Academy, #GROWTH events, a knowledge base, reports, webinars and a library of customer stories.

Who it suits

MoEngage suits consumer brands with apps and large audiences, in banking, food delivery, travel, media, retail or telecoms, that want email, push, SMS, WhatsApp and in-app messaging run from one set of profiles, with AI agents and per-customer decisioning on top. Its migration program makes it a practical option for a team leaving another enterprise engagement platform.

A small business sending a monthly newsletter would use only a sliver of it; the product is designed around app data, many channels and teams large enough to run hundreds of campaigns.
