Ortto
Tap a star to rate
Ortto is a marketing automation platform that puts email, SMS, push notifications, in-app messages, forms and surveys into one journey builder, on top of its own customer data platform. The homepage sums up the product as marketing automation, analytics, customer data and support together, and invites visitors to "Build journeys that drive revenue." Its solutions menu names four sectors it builds for: SaaS, financial services, healthcare and not-for-profit organizations. The footer of the site carries one line of history: "Autopilot is now Ortto." The old autopilothq.com address serves the same Ortto homepage, so anyone who knew the product under its former name is looking at the same platform today.
What a sender gets
The heart of the product is Journeys. The homepage presents it as "A complete platform for powerful marketing automation" and lists the channels a journey can use: emails, SMS, push notifications, forms and surveys, and in-app messages. That makes Ortto a multi-channel tool rather than an email-only one. A team can reach the same customer by email, by text message, with a push notification and with a message inside its own app, all from a single journey, and use forms and surveys to collect the data that feeds later steps.
Email is the first channel in the list, and the feature menu breaks it out further. Email marketing and transactional email are listed as separate features, so the same platform is meant to handle both the campaigns a marketing team plans and the one-to-one messages an application sends. Multi-lingual marketing is listed too, for teams that write to customers in more than one language. Ortto also names a feature called Checkmate tracking® in that menu, and lists popups, forms and surveys, landing pages and scoring as further pieces of the platform.
To get started quickly, Ortto publishes templates: journey builder templates and email marketing templates both have their own entries in the templates menu, with a link to all templates. A new account can begin from one of those rather than a blank canvas.
Customer data and analytics
Ortto sells its data layer as a product in its own right. Under a heading promising data that does not slow you down, the homepage lists a customer data platform, custom activities, dashboards, custom reports and lead scoring. It says you can "Connect all of your customer data with no-code integrations." In practice that means the segments a journey targets can draw on the activities and scores you define, not only on email opens and clicks, and the same data powers the dashboards and reports a marketing team reads.
The platform menu adds Analytics and Ortto AI as named parts of the product, next to the data platform and the journey builder.
Support tools
Ortto goes beyond marketing into customer support. The homepage has a support section headed "Omnichannel engagement, powered by AI," which lists a team inbox, AI responses, an integrated CDP, live chat, messenger calls, screen sharing and a knowledge base. The platform menu calls this part of the product Talk. For a business, that means the team answering customer questions can work from the same customer records the marketing team uses to send campaigns, and live chat and a knowledge base sit in the same account as the email tools.
Integrations
The integrations menu names two platforms directly, Salesforce and Shopify, each with its own "Ortto for Salesforce" and "Ortto for Shopify" page, plus a link to all integrations. The homepage does not give an integration count. A testimonial on the homepage from James Mathews, marketing manager at Rare Cancers Australia, says Ortto "can plug into your CRM, website, or other tools you use."
Security, privacy and data location
Ortto gives its security details on the homepage under "Secure. Accessible. Built to scale." The list covers two-factor authentication "and enforcement," single sign-on with Okta support, user permissions, roles and full audit logs, and Google reCAPTCHA to keep forms secure. For data location, the site states "Multi-region data hosting in EU, USA, and Australia." For compliance it says Ortto is "Compliant with GDPR, ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC2," and adds that it is a "Member of anti-abuse organization M³AAWG." The footer links to separate GDPR, Security and DPF pages. Those claims matter for the healthcare and financial services teams Ortto names in its solutions menu, and the choice of EU, US or Australian hosting matters to anyone with data residency rules.
Plans, trial and support
The site offers a trial rather than a free plan: "14 day free trial · Onboard in 2 minutes," with buttons to start a trial or book a demo. The homepage publishes no prices and names no plans, so the cost of a paid account is not shown there.
For help, the resources menu lists a knowledge base, documentation, developer docs, case studies, a blog, product updates, a status page and a public roadmap, and the footer offers contact routes for support and sales.
The homepage cites review scores of 4.4 out of 5 on G2, 4.6 out of 5 on Capterra and 8.8 out of 10 on TrustRadius. Its customer stories attach one figure to each segment: a startup, Pattern, reporting a 79% above industry open rate; TrustRadius (B2B) a 375% increase in first reviews via journeys; Sequence (B2C) a 20% increase in subscriptions via journeys; Taxibox (enterprise) a 65% email open rate; and Screencastify (SaaS) a 50% increase in daily active users via journeys. Screencastify's VP of marketing and growth says "The beauty of it is that it grows with you."
Who it suits
Ortto fits a team that wants email, SMS, push, in-app messages and customer support in one place, built on shared customer data. The SaaS businesses in its solutions menu are the clearest match: the Screencastify story ties journeys to daily active users, and lead scoring, custom activities and in-app messages all serve a product-led funnel. Shopify stores and Salesforce users have named integrations to start from. Healthcare, financial services and nonprofit teams will look first at the stated GDPR, ISO 27001, HIPAA and SOC2 compliance and the choice of hosting region.
A solo newsletter writer who only needs to send a weekly email is not the reader this homepage is written for. Ortto's pitch is breadth, with a CDP, journeys across five channels, analytics and a support inbox, and a buyer who needs none of that is buying breadth it will not use. Anyone who needs a figure to budget against will have to start the trial or book a demo, since the homepage publishes no pricing.
