What Relayzo is

Relayzo is a self-hosted email marketing application: you install it on your own server, connect it to the SMTP service or mail transfer agent that will deliver your mail, and run campaigns, segments and automations from its interface. The homepage says it is "built for businesses, marketers, and agencies that want complete control of the email marketing infrastructure" and that it is designed "to deliver powerful automation and scalable campaigns with exceptional deliverability, with zero monthly fees or third-party data risk." It pitches itself as an "AI-powered, self-hosted email marketing application to automate campaigns and grow your business", and says it serves both "a small business newsletter or high-volume marketing outreach". The site is sold through a "Buy Now" button with a license key that can be renewed or refreshed from the menu, and the footer credits the site design to Innovteams.

Where Relayzo sits in a self-hosted setup

The company's own guide, "Self-Hosted Email Marketing in 2026", explains the model. A self-hosted setup has three layers: the application where marketers build campaigns and workflows, the database where subscriber data and analytics are stored, and the SMTP server or MTA that sends the mail. The guide places Relayzo in the first layer: "Relayzo functions as the intelligence and management layer. It is the self-hosted email marketing application that sits on top of your SMTP infrastructure." For delivery, it names two routes: configure your own MTA, such as Postfix or PowerMTA, or connect to a third-party SMTP relay, such as Amazon SES or SendGrid. The homepage describes the same choice as connecting "your SMTPs integration tool or third-party relays" with customizable settings to tune deliverability.

The practical result, as the guide puts it, is that "subscriber data never passes through a third-party SaaS provider's hands", and developers can connect the platform to internal CRMs or proprietary databases.

Campaigns, lists and automation

According to the guide, Relayzo provides the interface for four jobs: email campaign management (designing and scheduling broadcasts), contact management and segmentation (organizing your audience dynamically), campaign automation (building behavioral triggers and drip sequences), and email analytics (tracking opens, clicks and geographic engagement). The homepage adds a no-code email builder, automated workflows, A/B testing and audience segmentation, and describes the platform as "a full email marketing suite".

The guide lists the kinds of automated campaigns the platform is meant for: welcome sequences that introduce new subscribers over several days, drip campaigns that deliver scheduled educational content, behavioral triggers that send follow-ups based on link clicks or website activity, and lead nurturing that moves subscribers between segments based on engagement. The homepage names B2B lead nurturing, B2C promotions and automated drip campaigns as uses.

On list size the homepage promises "No limits. No quotas. Just effortless and scalable email marketing without restrictions", and says Relayzo can handle "sending thousands or millions of emails without performance limits". For optimization it points to real-time analytics and A/B testing.

Named features

The homepage lists six features by name: Business Client Management, Audience Performance Testing, Smart Workflow Triggers, No-Code Email Builder, Smart Warmup Automation and Email Scrubber. The guide explains why warmup matters for a new server: start with a very small volume, such as 50 emails a day to your most engaged users, and increase it gradually over several weeks.

AI integration

AI is the headline of the current homepage: "Improve results with AI-based campaign analysis." The AI integration section says it lets you "chat with AI to plan campaigns, generate creative ideas, and refine your email subject lines to improve open rates", and that it also "helps you in analyzing reports to fine-tune your sending strategy." A separate section, "Transform PowerMTA into an Intelligent Engine with AI by Relayzo", describes turning a PowerMTA installation into "a smart, self-learning engine" with real-time insights.

PowerMTA and installation

Relayzo is built to work with PowerMTA. The homepage says it "provides you with an optimal PowerMTA wizard configuration for higher email deliverability and effective bounce handling", with PowerMTA giving control over delivery settings, IP warmup and reputation management. For installation, the homepage says you can deploy "on platforms like DigitalOcean, Linode, or any preferred hosting provider" and launch campaigns and landing pages within minutes; that section's wording refers to deploying MailWizz. The footer links to an installation guide, API documentation, a changelog and WordPress plugins.

Pricing, security and responsibility

The homepage promises "zero monthly fees" and says Relayzo helps you "Break free from continuing SaaS subscriptions" and "scale without scaling your costs". The site sells the software with a license key but publishes no license price; you pay separately for your server and for any SMTP relay you use. On privacy, the homepage says you can store and process data safely, "ensuring compliance with internal policies and global privacy standards"; that is the company's claim. Its own guide is frank that self-hosting moves security to you: access control, encryption at rest and in transit, updates and backups are your team's responsibility, and "The software only sends the mail; your reputation dictates where it lands." The guide's operating checklist asks for permission-based lists with double opt-in preferred, daily monitoring of reputation and delivery metrics, automatic processing of bounces and unsubscribes, gradual warmup of new IPs, and encrypted off-site backups.

Support

Support is a clear theme. The contact section says: "Have questions or need a custom solution? Our team is here to support you", with contact by email and a "Meet an Expert" option. The testimonials, from customers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, Kenya, Bangladesh and elsewhere, mostly praise help with installation, domain configuration and campaign setup, and one says the team "handled the entire setup". A demo is available from the homepage.

Who Relayzo suits

Relayzo suits a business or agency that wants an email marketing interface on its own server, plans to send through PowerMTA or a relay such as Amazon SES, and wants AI help with planning and subject lines without a monthly platform fee. High-volume senders with a technical team fit the PowerMTA and warmup tools best. The company's own guide says that a business without IT resources or with small volumes is better served by a managed SaaS platform.
