Happy Grasshopper

Tap a star to rate

Happy Grasshopper is a follow-up service for real estate agents, teams and brokerages that writes and sends messages to the people already in an agent's database, with email as the lead channel. It calls itself "The Positive Reply Platform", and its promise is "Right message. Right person. Real reply." Instead of handing an agent a blank template editor, it learns the agent's voice, has professional copywriters produce the messages, and makes sure the replies come back to the agent personally. The homepage counts "42M + relationships nurtured", "12,000 + agents empowered" and "15yrs delivering results", and says the company has been "Proudly serving real estate professionals since 2011." Its address is in Tampa, FL.

What a sender actually gets

Setup starts with the agent. The Voice and Positioning Profile "takes under six minutes" and captures tone, audiences and goals "so every message we write actually sounds like you." Then, as the homepage puts it, "We write the messages. You review and approve them." The copywriters work from "15 years of real send and reply data", and an agent can approve a message as written, adjust it and send, or let the automation handle it. The FAQ answers the obvious question directly: "Most members use our professionally written messages, but you're always free to edit or write your own."

Email is described as "Professionally written messages and campaigns that feel one-to-one. People reply because it doesn't feel like marketing." The FAQ calls the approach "human automation": messages are "written by professional copywriters and sent at times that feel natural", with the goal of "consistency without sounding automated."

The part that sets Happy Grasshopper apart is where replies go. "Replies land directly in your inbox or on your phone. Not to a platform or app. Not a filtered view." Contacts reply to the agent, personally, and the company adds that "Every message, campaign, contact, and relationship stays yours." For an agent, that means a past client's answer to a market update arrives in the same inbox as any other email and can be answered the same way.

The platform comes with "Proven playbooks for referrals, leads, and recruiting" and "Automation built for real conversations." The homepage frames the whole product around replies rather than activity: "Relationships don't grow from messages sent. They grow from replies received." The company says it "has monitored the results of hundreds of millions of messages sent by real estate professionals", and uses that experience to build recruiting and engagement systems.

Six channels

Email is one of six ways to reach a contact, and the homepage says they all work together:

  • Email: professionally written messages and campaigns
  • Social posts: "We write it. You post it", using the agent's own social app, because social media rewards posts from real accounts
  • Text messages: "Manually sent from your own phone number in your default messaging app", with replies landing on the agent's phone like any other text
  • Handwritten cards: "Real paper, real ink, real stamps, mailed for you"
  • Ringless voicemail: dropped straight to voicemail from the agent's own number; the site says members "consistently report strong callback rates"
  • Artisan gifts: gift boxes sent on the agent's behalf to turn a past client into a referral source

Integrations

Happy Grasshopper "works alongside the CRM you already use", and the FAQ says integrations are optional. The agent section says it "Connects and syncs with Follow Up Boss, Lofty, BoldTrail, and hundreds more", and the homepage promises it "Integrates with practically everything", with a separate integrations page. An agent keeps their contacts and pipeline in their own CRM; Happy Grasshopper handles the messages.

Pricing and coaching

Pricing is published for agents. The single plan is "$119 /mo", with "Start for $19. Cancel anytime." It includes the playbooks, the six outreach channels, the automation, integration with the agent's CRM or system, "Live group sessions twice per week" and "Real human support when you need it." The pricing section adds that "All plans use the same platform. The difference is how quickly you want replies and how much guidance you want along the way."

BUILT is a separate coaching program, offered "Start for free", that promises to install a referral business: six live expert coaching sessions, contacts cleaned and segmented, referral language in every touch, a weekly activity standard and a 12-month operating system.

Brokers and teams get "Custom pricing" that "Works alongside your existing workflows." Their offer is a brokerage-branded platform, recruiting outreach "that starts conversations, not broadcasts", agent retention through consistent relationship activity, "Centralized business strategy with personalized execution at scale", and rollout support with team-level guidance.

What members say

The homepage carries dated member quotes from 2026. One agent writes: "We sent an email that resulted in a text from someone who wants to meet about selling their multifamily property and buying more!" Another reports "a conversion directly from a Happy Grasshopper campaign email", and a third is "seeing great open and click rates on my campaign, and the recruitment content is already booking appointments." A recruiting user notes that "Two agents are already interested in coming in for recruitment from my text message campaign." The logo strip names brokerage brands including RE/MAX, Keller Williams, Compass, Century 21, eXp Realty, Coldwell Banker and Berkshire Hathaway, alongside HousingWire Tech100, Inman 5-Star and Forbes Top Tool recognitions.

The FAQ even explains the name, which it says has generated curiosity "since 2010": everyone in sales knows what it feels like to be treated like an insect, so "if you're going to be a bug, you may as well be a Happy Grasshopper", one who builds a following of people eager to refer them instead of hopping from one client to the next.

The company's blog adds practical guidance for agents, such as sending seller lead emails every 28 days with local sales data and sending the first former-client email 90 days after closing to ask for referrals.

Who it suits

Happy Grasshopper fits agents who, in the homepage's words, "have hundreds of people who know them, like them, and trust them" but "stopped hearing from them." It suits an agent who knows the database is where referrals come from and does not have the time or inclination to write every message, and it keeps the conversation personal because replies come straight back to the agent's inbox and phone. Brokerages get a branded version for agent production, recruiting and retention.

It is not a CRM and not a lead source. An agent needs a database to nurture, and one who wants full design control over template-built newsletters would find the done-for-you, one-to-one style a different kind of tool.
