ActivePipe is automated email marketing software built for two groups: real estate agents and agencies, and mortgage and finance brokers. Its homepage tagline is "Automated email marketing built for real estate and mortgage", and the promise to both groups is the same: stay top of mind with the contacts already in your database. The company says it is "part of the MoxiWorks family" and brings "proven success from thriving markets in the US, Australia, and New Zealand." Customer quotes on the site name brokers in Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.

What a sender actually gets

For real estate, the homepage lists six parts of the email product: smart property alerts, behavior-triggered emails, a drag-and-drop builder, pre-built branded campaigns, hot lead alerts and agent engagement tracking. The company's guide to real estate email marketing fills in how those pieces fit together.

The templates are built for the trade. The guide names ready-to-use templates for new listings, recently sold properties, suburb reports and monthly real estate newsletters, and says pre-built templates let an agent create campaigns "in minutes" instead of starting from a blank page. Listings can be dropped into emails automatically, so a property alert or newsletter shows the listings that match each contact rather than the whole stock.

Segmentation is handled partly by the agent and partly by the software. The guide suggests starting with a short survey so contacts sort themselves into buyers, vendors, past clients, investors and long-term prospects, then importing the consolidated list into ActivePipe. From there, it says, "ActivePipe can automatically identify patterns across your contact base", grouping contacts by how they engage with emails and listings "so your segmentation stays dynamic rather than static."

Behavior drives the follow-up. The guide describes triggers when past clients click on listings or market updates, notifications "the moment a contact responds or engages", and a lead score when behavior signals listing intent. Opens, clicks, property views and appraisal requests feed a list of high-intent contacts, which is what the hot lead alerts are for: telling an agent who to call next. A testimonial from ProBroker in Western Australia puts it plainly: "ActivePipe gives us the analytics to monitor who in our database has shown interest and may be an opportunity for a conversation."

Automation covers the usual real estate rhythms. The guide lists welcome sequences, drip campaigns for new website leads, follow-ups after inspections or appraisals, stay-in-touch journeys for past clients, listing alerts for active buyers and annual check-ins, and says ActivePipe can send "tailored, localised messages to each audience segment automatically." Reporting shows the metrics "in one clear view", so an agent can see the connection "between email engagement and valuation enquiries, not just opens and clicks."

The guide's sample campaigns show what that looks like in practice: a lead nurturing survey asking whether a contact plans to buy, sell or refinance, a matched listing email of new homes in a suburb, a re-engagement email about local events, and a "Houseiversary" message on the anniversary of a settlement that offers an estimated home value update and asks for a referral. A marketing specialist at Barfoot & Thompson in Browns Bay sums up the appeal in a homepage quote: "The system works its magic in the background without any effort on your part, and the numbers speak for themselves."

For brokerages, agent engagement tracking shows how the team is using the system, which matters when a principal pays for a tool that only works if every agent keeps sending.

The mortgage broker product

The mortgage side is a separate solution, pitched as "Easy automated follow-up built for mortgage & finance brokers." It includes market update alerts, client engagement tracking, ASIC-compliant templates, SMS and email campaigns, CRM integration and review and referral automation. SMS is part of this broker product; the real estate feature list is email only.

The page lays out what the automation is for. Automated check-ins keep a broker in touch at 1, 2 and 3 years, campaigns are personalized "to borrower type and loan stage", rate and market insights are meant to "spark fresh conversations", engagement signals tell a broker when a client is active, and automated loan expiry alerts "bring clients back at the right time." Referral automation keeps the broker visible "so happy clients recommend you first." The FAQ adds that brokers get "ready-made emails, engagement tracking, and full CRM integration."

The page backs its case with industry figures it labels as data: 25% of clients do not recall meaningful contact from their broker, 45% prefer email for market updates, and 64% would leave reviews if asked properly. A homepage testimonial from a Victorian lender says his first ActivePipe newsletter, sent at 3pm, had brought 3 new car applications and 2 housing loan refinances by 7pm.

Integrations, scale and pricing

ActivePipe connects to the CRM an agency or broker already uses; the homepage has an integrations section and invites anyone who needs "a custom integration" to talk to the team, and a partner integration program is marked "Coming Soon." The guide argues for two-way CRM sync so opens, clicks and valuation requests land on the contact record without duplicate data entry.

The homepage gives the company's scale as "10 years+ of proven real estate results", "230+ real estate brokerages onboarded" and "5,000+ mortgage brokers onboarded." Named customers include Harcourts Mandurah, Barfoot & Thompson in Browns Bay, ProBroker and Beachwood Finance. The site publishes no prices; every call to action is to book a demo or talk to the team.

Support and learning material sit under a content hub with blogs, webinars and guides, including a webinar recording titled "Turn Your Database into a Listing Engine." The real estate guide also walks through consent rules in Australia (the Spam Act 2003) and New Zealand (the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007), which reflects the markets ActivePipe knows best.

Who it suits

ActivePipe suits real estate agencies and individual agents who hold a sizable database of past clients, appraisal contacts, buyers and landlords and want it worked automatically: listings matched to buyers, suburb reports to homeowners, and a signal when someone starts looking. Brokerages that want to see which agents are using the tool get engagement tracking for that. Mortgage and finance brokers, especially in Australia where the templates are ASIC-compliant, get a follow-up engine built around loan anniversaries, expiry dates and referrals, with SMS alongside email.

It is a specialist tool. A business outside real estate and lending would find the templates, property alerts and loan triggers of little use, and a team that wants to design every email from scratch is not the audience the pre-built campaigns are made for.
