TargetBay
Tap a star to rate
TargetBay is a marketing suite for e-commerce stores. Its email and SMS product, BayEngage, sends campaigns, newsletters and automated flows to a store's customers, and it sits next to three sibling products: BayReviews for reviews and ratings, BayRewards for loyalty and referrals, and an AI Email Agent that the pricing menu describes as "Agency-quality email campaigns". The homepage calls TargetBay "The All-in-One Marketing Suite for eCommerce Growth" and says it is trusted by 4,240+ brands. The target reader is an online store, from a single Shopify shop to a merchant managing several brands, that wants email, SMS, reviews and loyalty on one customer record.
What a sender gets in BayEngage
The email side covers the usual building blocks for a store. The Omnisend comparison page on TargetBay's own site lists a simple drag and drop email builder, an integrated Shopify product catalog for dropping products into emails, built-in popups and signup forms, in-depth reporting and analytics, 380+ ready-to-use templates, and smart segmentation with automation workflows. The product menu adds campaigns, marketing automation, segmentation, email deliverability and email templates as separate feature areas, plus a Canva integration so designs made in Canva can be used in emails. The homepage describes BayEngage as combining advanced segmentation, AI-driven personalization and workflow automation.
For deliverability, the same page says TargetBay offers dedicated IPs "for consistent deliverability" and states that customers start sending with 99.4% inbox placement. The resources menu includes an Email Deliverability Report, and TargetBay publishes articles on welcome email deliverability for Shopify stores.
The AI Email Agent
The AI Email Agent is TargetBay's most prominent feature. According to the Omnisend comparison page, it creates, tests and optimizes campaigns automatically based on the brand's voice and customer behavior, learns from past campaigns, generates subject lines and personalizes content at scale. The comparison table lists it as an add-on rather than part of the base plan. The homepage banner promotes a webinar on building a whole BFCM (Black Friday and Cyber Monday) email calendar in five minutes, which shows the intended use: a store team that wants a season of promotional emails drafted for it rather than built one by one.
SMS
SMS is the second channel, with its own set of features. The Postscript comparison page lists for BayEngage a dedicated bulk text shortcode, a dedicated toll-free number, a delivery threshold, SMS keywords (for consent words such as STOP, UNSTOP and YES), SMS campaigns, 2-way communication, MMS marketing, SMS templates, analytics, SMS automation, double opt-in compliance, a branded link shortener and a unique URL shortener. It also mentions 1-1 conversations with customers, pre-built SMS ideas and an SMS compliance feature, and promotes "12+ SMS automation" flows such as welcome messages and abandoned cart reminders. The product menu lists SMS AI, SMS campaigns, SMS automation and SMS credits. Email and SMS can run in the same omnichannel workflows.
Reviews and loyalty on the same data
BayReviews collects reviews, picture reviews and video reviews, offers moderation tools and syndicates reviews to TikTok Shop, Google and Walmart.com, with Google indexing listed as a feature. BayRewards covers loyalty points, referrals, VIP tiers, rewards and tier gamification. For an email buyer this matters because reviews and loyalty status become segmentation and automation inputs in the same suite; a homepage testimonial praises the cross integration after one store added the marketing and rewards products together.
Integrations
The Omnisend comparison page lists the supported platforms and integrations as Shopify and Shopify Plus, Magento 2, Ecwid, Canva, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Miva, with custom integrations via API, plus Zapier, Make, Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel. The site footer lists platform pages for Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, links a Developers section, and the homepage announces a new TikTok Shop integration. The same page says customer data, product catalog and order information sync automatically.
Plans and pricing
TargetBay publishes prices for BayEngage email and SMS on its Omnisend comparison page. The page says "you only pay for what you send, not how many contacts you have in your list", yet labels its tiers by contact count:
- Free, $0, described as "Try before you commit"
- 10,000 contacts, $107/mo, for growing brands
- 30,000 contacts, $355/mo, for mid-sized retailers
- 50,000 contacts, $547/mo, for scaling stores
- 100,000 contacts, $1,049/mo, for large retailers
- Enterprise, custom pricing, for high-volume senders
The comparison table on the same page gives a starting price of $14/mo (500 contacts) with a free trial, and lists unlimited contacts among TargetBay's features. The signup box promises "No Contracts. No Credit Card Required." For SMS, the Postscript comparison page says BayEngage SMS starts at $49/month for 2000 SMS credits. The AI Email Agent is sold as an add-on. The Omnisend page also promises free migration, which it values at $3,450.
Support
Support is a point TargetBay stresses. The Omnisend comparison page lists "Reliable 24/7 support (chat, phone, and email)", and the Postscript page lists 24/7 support assistance for BayEngage. Homepage testimonials single out a named support contact who helped a customer plan and set up automations, and one reviewer who says they used every major email platform over 15 years writes that none of them supported its product as well as BayEngage does. The homepage case studies are email stories too: one describes how BayEngage helped Elina Organics grow as a skincare retailer, another how Divers Supply built its scuba gear business on BayEngage email marketing.
Who it suits and who it does not
TargetBay suits online stores that want email, SMS, reviews and loyalty from one vendor, especially on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Magento 2. Merchants who value hands-on help get 24/7 support in three channels and free migration. Stores that want to hand off campaign drafting can add the AI Email Agent, and SMS-heavy brands get shortcodes, toll-free numbers, MMS and keyword consent in the same product. The published tiers let a store budget before a demo.
It is less suited to non-commerce senders: a SaaS team, a newsletter writer or a nonprofit will find the product built around carts, catalogs and orders. The published pricing needs a careful read, since the page speaks of paying per send while its tiers are labeled by contacts, and the AI Email Agent costs extra. Developers looking for a transactional email API or SMTP relay will find the API described only as a route for custom store integrations.
