Retail Rocket

Retail Rocket calls itself a "Retention Management Platform", offering "All you need to create customer retention strategy, boost LTV and repeat purchases." In practice it is a customer data and messaging platform for ecommerce: it gathers store data in one place, segments customers by loyalty, and sends email, SMS and web push campaigns alongside product recommendations on the store itself. The site lists offices in Rijswijk in the Netherlands, Berlin in Germany, Barcelona in Spain and Santiago in Chile, with a separate commercial contact for Brazil and Chile, and its copyright line runs "2013–2026". The home page says "Thousands of clients worldwide generated €385 981 789 additional revenue last year using Retail Rocket."
The four modules
The product is sold as four modules that share one customer database.
Data Warehouse. It "Joins online and offline customers data in a single storage and quickly creates segments for any marketing needs." The web push page makes the practical point: you do not switch interfaces or mix data from different sources, and you build segments, manage user activity and analyze marketing performance in a single platform.
Customer Intelligence Platform. Described as opening "opportunities for your strategic customer database marketing to boost LTV and revenue". The platform overview says it segments customers "by their loyalty using sophisticated mathematical model", with the stated goal to "Transform first-time buyers into regular clients and increase their retention" and to build strategies for key customer segments.
AI Personalization Engine. This module picks the timing and the communication channel for a personalized offer to each client, according to the module description. The module list names three tools under it: a Segment Builder, Next Best Offer and dynamic timing for campaigns.
Campaign Management System. The sending layer, built to "Increase your revenue and customer engagement by cross-channel communications in emails, push and sms."
The value section of the home page adds three working promises: "constant updates on your customer base loyalty", campaigns built "with the power of Big Data", and complex campaigns prepared and launched "in a couple of clicks". A 2024 post on the company blog announces self-service statistics for analyzing how recommendations perform.
Channels and campaigns
Email. Email marketing is one of the named solutions. Recommendations can be placed in trigger-based mailings, and the home page cites 76,7% growth in revenue per email "due to smart segmentation in emails". One client review describes adding customer discount information from a loyalty program to emails, which "allowed us to increase the revenue of the e-mailing by more than 70%".
Web push. Push notifications tell subscribers about new discounts, upcoming sales, abandoned carts "and other relevant occasions, even if the customer is not at your website at the moment." Setup is "just add a single line of code to your website", shoppers can subscribe easily, campaigns are launched from an interface the page calls intuitive, and push notifications run on behavioral triggers alongside email.
SMS. SMS is part of the Campaign Management System, and Smart SMS appears among the Smart Placement tools. The web push page sums up the channel choice: "Define the most suitable channel to notify your customers: by email, push or sms."
Segmentation. Segments can be built "based on dozens of parameters: interests, age, purchase history, average order value and others."
On-site merchandising and advertising
Retail Rocket also sells Online Merchandising, meaning product recommendations on the store's own pages, and a Smart Placement Platform, an "Ads Platform for the focused promotion of goods and brands within e-com stores through point-to-point communication with a relevant audience". Its tools are Smart Recommendations, Smart Banners, Smart SMS, Smart Retargeting and Smart Recommendations in trigger-based mailing. For an email buyer, this means the recommendation engine that powers the website also fills product blocks in automated emails.
Results the site reports
The home page lists outcomes from its work with clients: an 18% order amount increase from personal product recommendations on the website, a 30% sales increase from a personalized shopping experience, a 29,6% revenue increase through personalized product recommendations, 76,7% growth in revenue per email and 25% SKU per order growth from on-site recommendations. A case series on the Finnish brand Finn Flare reports that product recommendations raised revenues by 13.4%. A marketing director quoted on the site says that three years after integration, "the AI personalization technology continues to help us increase orders month by month." The same director names "the team's excellent job, and the simple management of the tool" as the reasons for staying, which matches the site's picture of software sold together with a working service team.
Industries, service and getting started
The home page says "All industries need a retention boost" and names e-commerce, banking, insurance, FoodTech, SaaS and EdTech, adding that it can help any company with 100,000 unique visitors, "regardless of the industry your company belongs to". It also mentions a Growth Hacking team that tests hypotheses with clients, and a client review praises Retail Rocket specialists for "building long-term communication strategy involving different channels and hypothesis testing".
A Pricing page is linked in the menu, and the route in is a demo request: the company offers to "jump on an intro-call, visit you or arrange a meeting at the Retail Rocket office." The footer links an anti-spam policy, a privacy policy, a cookie policy and terms of use, and the company site itself is published in ten languages, among them English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
Who it suits and who it does not
Retail Rocket suits mid-sized and larger online retailers with meaningful traffic (the site names 100,000 unique visitors as its threshold) that want recommendations on the website and retention messaging by email, SMS and push to run from the same customer data, with a team that helps plan and test campaigns.
It is a poor fit for a small shop, a creator or a newsletter publisher who wants a self-service email tool, and for a developer looking for a sending API. Buyers who need to compare list prices before a sales conversation will have to go through the demo route.
