Mirasvit makes Magento 2 extensions, and its email product is the Follow Up Email extension: a module installed in your own Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce store that sends triggered emails such as abandoned cart reminders, review requests, win-backs, birthday greetings and order follow-ups, each "reported with the revenue it brought in." The product page says it "gives Magento 2 a full email marketing automation platform, with no third-party service in the loop," and that it works with Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce 2.3.x to 2.4.9. Mirasvit lists its headquarters in Vallejo, California, USA, with a development and support office in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The extension is about triggered email rather than newsletters. In the page's words: "You set up an email series once and choose the event that starts it, such as a customer abandoning their cart. From then on the extension sends the emails for you, and tailors what comes next to what the customer did earlier in your store." The product page counts 2.8K+ stores using this extension, and Mirasvit's homepage says 50,000+ stores trust the company's extensions overall.

Bundled campaigns

The module ships with pre-configured campaigns: Abandoned Cart Recovery, Customer Engagement, Customer Re-Engagement and Sales Follow-Up, with a Wishlist campaign added in recent versions. You activate the ones you want, duplicate and adapt them, or build your own from the quick start guide.

The abandoned cart campaign "sends three reminders, after 2 hours, 5 days and 15 days, and stops as soon as the customer places an order." You decide how long a cart must be idle before it counts as abandoned. Each reminder can carry a one-click link that restores the cart, and emails show the exact variant in the cart, including size, color and custom options. The page claims 3x fewer abandoned carts and 38% more reviews after purchase.

Guests are the hard part of cart recovery, and the page is direct about it: the extension can only email a guest whose address it knows. It watches email, name and username fields across the storefront, including third-party newsletter popups and login forms, and stores the address against the session and cart as soon as a guest types it. Guest email capture has three modes: always on, off, or disabled for visitors from the EU. It works on the Luma and Hyvä themes, and the September 2026 release notes add capture on Hyvä Checkout.

Other bundled uses: review reminders after purchase with a delay you set, plus follow-ups and review confirmation emails; win-back emails with a gift card or coupon after a customer has been away for a period you set; birthday and anniversary emails, including loyalty tier milestones; order, invoice, shipment and credit memo emails, with carrier name and tracking number in shipment emails and replenishment emails with upsells after an order completes; and wishlist emails when an item comes back in stock, drops in price, runs low, is added or is shared.

Triggers and targeting

Events fall into eight categories: customer (logging in or out, signing up, changing group, birthday), product (viewing, adding to cart, ordering), shopping cart, sales (orders, invoices, shipments, credit memos and every order status change), newsletter subscription changes, wishlist, review, and customer segments. Product-level events fire per item, so a follow-up can name the exact product. Campaigns can be narrowed by lifetime sales, number of orders, products in the cart or order, order grand total, shipping and payment methods, order status, quantities and profile data. Segment-membership triggers need Mirasvit's separate Customer Segmentation Suite.

A campaign stops when its goal is met or a cancellation event occurs. The extension can generate personal, time-limited coupons with a set discount and expiry and add them to emails automatically. Before going live, you can preview any email with randomized test data, or run a campaign in Sandbox Mode, where every email goes to a test mailbox instead of customers.

Deliverability and GDPR controls

The extension limits itself to protect deliverability. The page says every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link "which meets the bulk-sender requirements Google and Yahoo introduced in 2024," and customers get a page to manage subscriptions per trigger. Frequency is capped per address over a period and per campaign, and each event type has a quiet window, "so a customer who logs in five times in a day does not receive five emails." For GDPR, the page says you can filter the target audience, clear email history automatically and turn off automatic guest data capture. The Mail Queue and Event Log show each email's status, trigger, recipient and send date, and you set how many days of history to keep.

Templates and personalization

Emails are built from themes and templates in the Email Designer: create a theme once and build templates on top of it, managed from one grid. Over 30 variables cover the customer's name and profile, cart or order items with the exact variant, wishlist, generated coupon and store details. Templates run on Liquid, so you can shorten product names, show prices in the customer's currency or set fallbacks without a developer, and the editor previews on desktop and mobile. Emails can carry cross-sell items from Magento's cross-sell, related or upsell products, and, with Mirasvit's Reward Points extension, a customer's points balance and tier. Multilingual stores can use one trigger per language or Magento's translation mechanism, and the admin ships with translations for 44 locales. The release notes mention 13 built-in templates.

Reporting and API

A performance dashboard reports sent, opened and clicked emails, open rate and CTR, referred orders and reviews, and revenue, per campaign, per trigger and per email, with date filters and a per-store scope on multi-store setups. UTM parameters per campaign let you read the same results in Google Analytics. Campaigns, triggers, emails, templates and the reporting data behind them are all manageable over REST, which the page recommends for headless storefronts and BI dashboards.

Pricing and support

The extension is sold, not rented. The product page shows "Pay today $219 for the first year. Then $132 for updates and support services per year." The Magento edition selector lists $230 next to Commerce (EE) and $460 next to Commerce on Cloud (ECE). The purchase includes lifetime access to the source code, free support and updates for 1 year, a free installation option, and a 30 days money back guarantee; the renewal can be canceled anytime. The page also offers a 15-min live demo.

Mirasvit's homepage adds free installation and configuration, and a rating of 4.91 from 4,193 merchant reviews, with 96% of support replies rated positively and 43% of customers coming back for another extension. The extension is approved on the Adobe Commerce Marketplace and listed as compatible with Magento Cloud, Mage-OS and WCAG accessibility standards.

Who it suits

The Follow Up Email extension suits Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce stores that want triggered lifecycle email running inside their own store, paid once a year rather than per contact, with the catalog, cart, wishlist and order data Magento already holds. Stores on Hyvä, headless builds that need REST control, and multilingual or multi-store setups are all covered on the page.

It is only for Magento and Adobe Commerce, and it is built for triggered follow-ups rather than a newsletter program.
