CartStack is an abandonment recovery platform: it sends automated follow-up emails to people who left a cart, a hotel booking or a ticket purchase unfinished, and it can identify some of the visitors who left without ever typing an email address. Its tagline is "Recover lost revenue. Automatically." The company sells into three verticals it names on every page: ecommerce (DTC brands and online retailers), hospitality (hotels, resorts and vacation rentals, with direct bookings) and ticketing (events, attractions and live experiences). It is a specialist tool for one job, not a newsletter or broad campaign platform, and it is designed to run next to whatever email system a business already uses.

The products

Recover. The core product is described as a way to "Win back abandoned carts and bookings automatically." For hotels, the site says Recover "follows up with guests who left the booking engine, using the dates and rooms they already picked", and that it goes live the same day "alongside your existing stack". For stores and ticketing, the follow-up carries the cart itself, so "the message shows exactly what they left", whether that is an item, a room or a set of seats. The Reveal page lists the abandonment types CartStack covers: browse abandonment (a visitor who compared products, priced a stay or opened a seat map), cart abandonment, checkout abandonment, and abandoned quote, enquiry or booking forms.

Retain. Sold as an add-on, Retain is meant to catch visitors even earlier, before they abandon and before they self-identify. In the sample revenue report it shows up as a separate source of recovered revenue for visitors pulled back before they left the tab.

Reveal. Reveal is the visitor identification product. Most high-intent visitors, the page argues, leave without saying who they are; Reveal "unmasks them into real contacts" with the detail of what they were doing on the site. It runs on the same tracking tag that powers recovery campaigns. The tag watches for behavior such as a filled cart, a date search, a seat held or a pricing page opened twice; the session is matched to a contact record; the contact appears in CartStack with the products viewed, the number of sessions and the cart value; and the merchant decides what happens next.

Reveal comes in two forms. Reveal Data is a filterable, sortable list inside CartStack that a team can sort by cart, booking or order value, filter, and export as CSV to a CRM, a sales team or its own email platform. The page suggests uses such as calling the largest abandoned carts, enriching CRM records of loyalty members and past guests, and suppressing recent buyers from ad audiences. Data plus Recover puts those contacts into recovery campaigns, and here the sending model matters: "Reveal-sourced messages go out from isolated sending subdomains kept separate from your normal recovery sending, and every contact carries a rank so you know how safe it is to send to them."

The company is candid about the risk. Asked whether a merchant can email Reveal contacts directly, the FAQ says the data is theirs, but "sending in bulk to contacts who never gave you their address is exactly where deliverability risk lives", which is why the Data plus Recover option exists. It also stresses that Reveal is not a prospecting list: every contact came from the merchant's own site and showed intent.

Managed service. The product menu offers "Let our team run it for you." for businesses that would rather hand the campaigns over.

Reporting

Reveal Data reports on how many anonymous visitors were unmasked, at what stage, and what they were about to spend. With Recover added, revenue reporting shows recovered dollars broken out by how each contact reached the merchant. An illustrative account on the page shows 1,284 contacts unmasked and $203,898.75 in recovered revenue over the last 30 days, split into real-time email capture ($148,290.00, 72.7% of the total), Reveal ($44,487.00, 21.8%) and Retain ($11,121.75, 5.5%). The page labels this sample data, not a real account.

Pricing and trial

Plans are priced on what the business sells, orders for stores and events and rooms for properties, with separate pricing for ecommerce and ticketing versus hotels and resorts. Reveal is "a flat monthly rate with a fair-use profile ceiling, so the bill doesn't move with your traffic", and Data plus Recover "prices above Reveal Data on its own". Dollar amounts for the plans are not shown on the product or blog page. A free trial is offered: "Free for 14 days", "No credit card required" and "Ready the same day". A demo call is tailored to the chosen vertical, and free calculators estimate recoverable revenue from a store's traffic and average order value, or from bookings, room nights and average daily rate for hotels.

Privacy and data sourcing

The footer links to GDPR, CCPA and CAN-SPAM pages. On Reveal, CartStack declines to publish its sources: "We keep the specifics of our matching and data partners out of public material." The account team walks a customer's legal and privacy contacts through the details, and the FAQ adds that the company will share its current documentation but "What we won't do is hand you a blanket compliance guarantee", calling visitor identification "a contested category" that a buyer's counsel should review.

Hospitality focus

CartStack's own blog puts hotels at the center. Its hotel email marketing guide states that hotels see booking abandonment rates "as high as 85%" and promotes RezRecover by CartStack, its hotel recovery software, which the article credits with a 55% average open rate for recovery emails and a 30% increase in average order values for recovered bookings. The Reveal FAQ says CartStack "has spent years on booking and ticketing abandonment". Resources also include email templates, guides, case studies and an integrations section, along with posts such as one on Google's bulk sender requirements.

Who it suits

CartStack suits businesses where a single abandoned purchase is worth real money: hotels losing direct bookings, ticketing sites with abandoned seats, and online stores with meaningful cart values. The company itself notes that "a single recovery covers the month" when a cart or booking is worth hundreds or thousands. It is an add-on to an existing email program, so a business looking for newsletters, promotional campaigns or a full lifecycle platform will need another tool alongside it. Buyers considering Reveal should involve their privacy counsel before sending to identified contacts, as the company recommends.
