Web Matter

Tap a star to rate

Web Matter is a web services and professional mailing company in Martínez, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Its email offer has two parts: wmEmails, a platform for bulk sending and building newsletters, and professional SMTP servers that businesses and institutions use to send mail from their own systems, from invoices to newsletters. Both are sold in Argentine pesos with Spanish-language support, and they sit beside the company's web design, software development, e-commerce, hosting, SEO, SSL and cloud services. The home page counts more than 1000 websites built and more than 3000 SMTP servers set up.

wmEmails, the newsletter platform

The company describes wmEmails as a tool for mass sending and for putting newsletters together, and its selling point is reaching the inbox. On the home page the email marketing offer is framed as quality bulk email at low cost, the most effective and economical way to land in your customers' inboxes. The company also claims "El precio por mensaje más bajo del mercado" (the lowest price per message on the market), along with high sender reputation and guaranteed arrival.

A guide on the company's site sets out how wmEmails is sold: prices in pesos, assisted technical support in Spanish, and plans defined by the number of contacts. It says the platform allows unrestricted sends ("envíos libres"), with the priority on deliverability and on arriving in the inbox. A second guide calls wmEmails very popular in Argentina, focused on inbox arrival and delivery quality, with assisted support. The pages give no wmEmails prices; plans are sized by contact volume and billed in pesos.

The client list on the home page shows how wmEmails is used in practice. The Consejo Argentino para las Relaciones Internacionales, the Municipalidad de Santo Tomé and DHNN combine an SMTP server with the wmEmails newsletter platform and mailing support. ANMAT uses SMTP with the wmEmails mailing system, CEMIC runs an SMTP server with newsletters on wmEmails, and AMET and Colombraro send their newsletters through wmEmails. The same list names the BCRA for an information bulletin carrying its regulations.

SMTP servers

The second product is professional SMTP. The services section describes SMTP mail servers with personalized support in Argentina: professional mail servers with high reputation and specialized technical support for all of a customer's email sending, with plans for both corporate mail and bulk mailing. The home page adds that the thousands of SMTP servers it has set up come with support and a panel for tracking emails. Among the technologies the company works with, the site names Postfix, Exim and Exchange on the mail side, and cPanel, Control Web Panel and Plesk as server panels.

The client list shows what these servers carry. Several customers, among them the Municipalidad de San Martín de los Andes, SOFAMA SA, Barrio Santa Barbara and NOVIT SA, use an SMTP server for invoicing together with mailing support. Aceros SH has a platform for mailing invoices, Chamical Compactación combines a corporate email server with SMTP for invoicing, the Universidad Nacional de Misiones runs an SMTP server for Moodle and education, NB Cargo pairs an SMTP server with mailing support, Work Tech SRL uses an SMTP server for newsletters, and Provincia NET has an SMTP server plus a mailing system. That mix of invoice delivery, learning-platform mail and newsletters is the practical range of the offer: system and transactional mail through SMTP, campaigns through wmEmails.

Infrastructure and security

The site says its services and products run on 16 datacenters in different geographic locations. Among its reasons to choose Web Matter it lists advanced security protocols and SSL certificates, and its security service covers SSL certificates, advanced firewalls and enterprise-level measures. The hosting that many of its email customers sit on comes with automatic backups, continuous monitoring and proactive maintenance, and its cloud servers are described as highly available and scalable.

Training, support and migration

Support is where Web Matter sets itself apart on its own pages. The home page says its support is 100% human and immediate, by WhatsApp or by phone call, and states plainly that it uses no bot for support and no ticket system. The guides repeat the point: support gives an immediate answer by WhatsApp and/or phone, and without tickets there are no delays. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:30, and the site also offers a chat button and a request form for a specialist. It adds that professionals are assigned to each project and client, and the mailing and SMTP service is summed up in its own tagline as guaranteed delivery with dedicated support.

New customers get four free initial training sessions of 30 minutes each, which the site says apply to all its email services: email accounts, bulk email and self-managed websites. For customers coming from another provider, the company handles website and mailbox migrations with technical support included, and the home page says the process is completed in less than 24 hours.

Billing and payment

Web Matter issues both Factura A and Factura B invoices. In Argentina customers pay by bank transfer or by Mercado Pago transfer, in Uruguay through the PREX app, and from other countries by PayPal or Western Union. The home page describes its costs as accessible, with discounts and prices aimed at growing small and medium businesses, and says it adapts to a company's budget. Pricing in pesos is also the subject of one of the company's own guides, about mailing platforms that charge in pesos so that a business does not depend on dollar or euro billing.

Who it suits

Web Matter fits Argentine companies, public bodies and institutions that want a local provider for both sides of email: a newsletter platform for campaigns and an SMTP server for invoices and system mail, billed in pesos with local invoices and supported by people on WhatsApp and the phone. Its client list, with municipalities, a university and a long run of companies, shows the customer base it serves. Organizations that already use Web Matter for their website or hosting can keep email with the same provider and the same support line.

It is a weaker match for teams that want a self-serve platform with a published feature list for automation, segmentation or an API, since the site describes wmEmails in outline, and for teams that need support outside weekday business hours. Senders outside Argentina can pay by PayPal or Western Union, but the service, its guides and its support are all in Spanish.
