Spreeflo

Tap a star to rate

Spreeflo describes itself as an agentic marketing automation platform for founders. It sends email campaigns, automated customer journeys and transactional email, and it pairs them with forms, popups, browser notifications, web analytics, event tracking and custom webhooks in the same account. The solutions menu names e-commerce, SaaS, retail, agencies and startups as the businesses it serves, and the startups page frames the product around companies without a marketing department, promising "All the email marketing power you need to acquire customers and grow revenue." There is a free plan that needs no card, paid plans listed from $13 a month, and a 14-day free trial with no commitment and cancellation at any time.

Campaigns, journeys and the editor

Spreeflo splits sending into two modes. Campaigns are one-off sends, and the startups page gives launch announcements, investor updates and product news as examples. Journeys are always-on flows that you set once and that fire on behavior. The homepage lists behavioral and attribute segments, cyclic triggers and wait conditions as the parts a journey is built from, and the startups page describes a visual workflow builder for onboarding, trial conversion and re-engagement flows. Drip campaigns cover timed sequences for nurturing waitlist signups, onboarding new users and converting free trials, and behavioral triggers react to signups, feature usage and inactivity.

Emails are built in a drag-and-drop builder. The startups page says you can use a template or build from scratch, and a library holds email templates and ready-made playbooks. Getting started is laid out in four steps: create an account, import existing contacts or start fresh with a signup form, create the first campaign, then preview, test and send. The startups page puts the time to the first email at under five minutes, and the homepage says the first campaign takes under 10 minutes.

Personalization is the part Spreeflo pushes hardest. The homepage says its AI "generates a unique version of every message for each contact based on who they are and what they've done", with a different subject line and different body copy for each person, and it claims four to six times higher open and click rates with personalization. The building blocks it names are AI variables, contact attributes and form data. A preview on the homepage shows a trial reminder whose subject line pulls the contact's first name and workspace from contact fields while the sales pitch in the body is written by the AI for that one contact. On the startups page the same feature appears as AI Variables for founder-led outreach, where "AI generates unique content for every recipient".

Audiences, tracking, popups and push

The homepage describes the flow as capture, segment, automate. Forms, popups and web tracking record who each contact is and what they do, contacts are grouped automatically by attributes and behavior ("No spreadsheets, no manual lists"), and a journey then runs on those groups. Web tracking is installed with one snippet. Its example is a visitor who views the pricing page twice: that signal enrolls the contact in a journey through a web tracking trigger, and the journey answers with a popup on the site in the moment and a browser push notification after the visitor leaves. Custom-event triggers, in-app popups and browser push are listed alongside it.

Forms are included on the free plan with unlimited responses. The homepage calls them "Typeform-grade forms" and adds "The exact forms others lock behind a full subscription." They can be standalone or embedded, and every submission feeds the contact profile. For companies that have not launched yet, the startups page describes building a waitlist landing page, capturing early adopters and sending teaser content before launch day.

Transactional email, API and webhooks

Spreeflo handles transactional mail next to marketing mail. The startups FAQ lists order confirmations and password resets and says "Same platform, same pricing." The homepage also advertises unlimited free non-marketing contacts. For technical founders the FAQ promises "a clean API, webhook support, and event-based automation", and the event-based automation feature connects product events through the API so that a signup, an expiring trial or an adopted feature can start a flow. Custom webhooks appear in the platform's feature list.

AI inside the app and through MCP

The in-app AI takes plain requests. The homepage gives three kinds: build ("Build a three-email welcome journey for new signups", producing real drafts of campaigns, journeys, emails and forms), ask ("Which campaign drove the most clicks last month?", answered with live numbers and nothing to export) and tidy ("Segment everyone who opened but never clicked, and tag them"). The site says the assistant knows your brand voice and that every change waits for your approval. Teams that prefer their own agent can connect it through Spreeflo's MCP server with one API key and nothing to install. The homepage names ChatGPT, OpenClaw, Claude Code and Cursor, and the agent pages cover OpenClaw, NanoClaw, Claude Cowork, Codex, Perplexity Computer, Hermes Agent and Paperclip.

Playbooks

Playbooks apply a finished journey in one click. Three are described on the homepage, all written for Shopify app makers: a welcome series that turns new installs into activated, retained merchants using journeys, tags and behavioral triggers; a three-email cart-abandonment recovery journey with optional web push that branches on behavior and measures recovered carts and revenue; and a four-touch win-back journey for previously active users that uses segment-based triggers, conditional logic and an internal alert to the team.

Plans and pricing

The startups page publishes the paid tiers by contact count:

  • Starter, 1,000 contacts, $13/mo, "Everything you need to grow"
  • Growth, 10,000 contacts, $43/mo, "Scale with confidence"
  • Scale, 50,000 contacts, $107/mo, "Enterprise power"

The free tier is shown as $0 forever with an upgrade possible at any time, and its headline item is the forms product with unlimited responses. The site also offers a 14-day free trial with no commitment. On discounts, the FAQ says the pricing is already startup-friendly but asks founders in an accelerator to get in touch about special programs. Switching from Mailchimp is covered in the FAQ: export the contacts, import them into Spreeflo and recreate the automations, which it says takes about an hour.

Compliance and support

The homepage lists "Security first", "GDPR-ready", "DPA on every plan", "Built for EU AI Act" and "Built for compliance", and the legal section links GDPR, privacy, terms, DPA, sub-processor and security pages. The site names no data center location. Help comes through a help center, a contact page, product docs, separate MCP docs and a public changelog.

What customers report

Testimonial blocks on the homepage cite 185% higher open rates, five times more responses and a 90% reduction in manual work; another set cites 220% higher open rates and a 42% average open rate; a third cites a 36% additional conversion boost, ten times more clicks and 35 person-hours saved per week. One CEO says Spreeflo "helped grow our conversion rate by >30% by orchestrating onboarding marketing emails" and is now used for automated win-back emails. A director credits the web tracking for geo location with making personalized engagement across Europe possible without a dedicated marketing team.

Who it suits

Spreeflo is aimed squarely at founders and small teams. A B2B SaaS company can run trial onboarding, conversion and churn-reduction flows off product events; an e-commerce or D2C brand gets cart recovery, post-purchase and loyalty flows; a marketplace can run separate sequences for buyers and sellers; creators can build an audience with newsletters; and agencies can nurture leads and keep client relationships warm. Technical founders get an API, webhooks and MCP access. A sender with a large list should note that the published table stops at 50,000 contacts, and a team used to picking from a marketplace of named app integrations will find the connection story built on the API, webhooks and AI agents instead.
