SMTPMaster is an email sending service from Kolkata, India, that combines a campaign tool for newsletters and promotions with SMTP relay and transactional email for websites and applications. Its homepage calls it "India's No.1 Email Marketing Service Provider" and "Your personal email Delivery expert," and it pitches the service on price: "SMTP Service At An Affordable Price." The company describes itself as a cloud service provider that specializes in sending outgoing email for large volume senders, while its location pages say the tools are meant for small businesses, ecommerce giants "and everything in between." The site's copyright line runs from 2018, and the menu splits the offer into an email sending application, an SMTP service, an email API and a deliverability section.

The campaign side

Campaigns are built in the "Email Sending Application." Its drag and drop editor is described as natural and quick, with no technical expertise required, and senders can personalize content and upload their brand kit. Every plan, including the free one, gets access to the company's library of fully responsive email templates. The template builder lets you add, edit, delete and categorize as many templates as you need, and you can bring in any third-party template by uploading it to the application.

Personalization is one of the features the company leans on. Its service page says almost any customer data can be used, from individual attributes such as name and city to behavioral ones such as the last item purchased or the discount applied. Contact list segmentation groups contacts into audiences based on customer actions and behavior and on the interests people give in sign-up forms, which the site ties to better open and click-through rates. The "Create your own campaign" feature is presented as a way to build branded campaigns in minutes, start building a list on the platform, and collect customer data for targeted segmentation later.

Marketing automation lets the platform respond to customer behavior and trigger predefined actions: send emails, update contacts based on what they did, and create lists for different kinds of engagement. The homepage sells it to marketers who want to build complex email sequences without, in its words, pulling their hair out. Reporting shows who opened and who clicked, with open and click rates, bounce tracking and unsubscribe tracking, so senders can refine content and targeting.

SMTP relay and transactional email

The second half of SMTPMaster is infrastructure. The homepage invites developers to integrate the SMTP service with a website or app to send transactional emails such as order confirmations, password resets, invoice emails and OTPs, and describes a "Secure, Super Fast flexible SMTP Server" with SMTP credentials for registration and payment confirmation messages. Transactional emails can carry the sender's own branding.

Setting up the SMTP relay starts with verifying your own domain and then choosing between a shared or a dedicated address. A dedicated SMTP server adds comprehensive logs for tracing delivery failures, email address verification to clean a list, deliverability features aimed at lowering bounce rates and spam complaints, and real-time tracking with deeper analytics. The company says that even when it is used as bulk email software, it looks after the customer's contacts and sender reputation to keep deliverability good. The blog backs this up with long guides on DMARC records, SPF and DKIM setup, SMTP error codes and warming up an IP address.

Plans and prices

SMTPMaster publishes its prices, and they are low. The model is stated plainly on its service pages: "we don't charge you for storing your contacts, only for the number of emails you send." Every plan on the pricing grid lists "Warm IPs."

  • Free Forever: $0 for 300 emails daily.
  • BRONZE-1: $4 a month for 5,000 emails, with free support.
  • SILVER-1: $14 a month for 20,000 emails, with free support.
  • PRIME-1: $105 a month for 300,000 emails, with free support.

Quarterly plans come at a discount and run for 90 days: bronze 2 quarterly at $23 for 30,000 emails, Silver-3 Quarterly at $80 for 150,000 emails, Prime-1 Quarterly at $299 for 900,000 emails, and Prime-3 Quarterly at $852 for 3,000,000 emails. The site also refers to yearly and monthly email marketing plans and links a full plan list beyond the ones shown on the homepage. The free plan is promoted as a way for a small business to get a working email solution without paying, and sign-up is free.

Support, policies and reputation

Customers reach the company through a client area, a ticket system and live chat, and the paid plans list free support. The site publishes a spam policy, a refund policy and a page on the CAN-SPAM Act next to its terms of use and privacy policy. The homepage and service pages show Google reviews from customers, several of which praise quick responses from the support team and low prices for small businesses; one reviewer says they use it for seven domains. The site also links its profiles on G2, Capterra, Trustpilot and SoftwareSuggest, and it runs service location pages aimed at senders in different countries, including one for China.

Who it suits

SMTPMaster suits cost-conscious senders who think in email volume rather than list size. A small business or blogger can start on the free plan's 300 emails a day, and because only sends are billed, a large but rarely mailed list stays cheap: the $4 BRONZE-1 plan buys 5,000 emails a month, and the contacts themselves cost nothing extra. Developers and small SaaS teams that need a relay for order confirmations, password resets, invoices and OTPs get SMTP credentials, a dedicated server option with logs, and the same account for marketing mail. Schools and course providers are a market the company writes for directly: its education guide pitches SMTPMaster for large campaigns to student and alumni lists and for transactional notices such as application confirmations, grade reports and payment reminders, and says it can connect with existing CRM and enrollment systems. Senders moving large volumes can buy the quarterly packs, which reach 3,000,000 emails over 90 days.

The trade-off is depth. The campaign tool covers the essentials, meaning a drag and drop editor, templates, segments, personalization, basic automation and open and click reports, and a team that needs elaborate multi-branch journeys or a long list of named integrations should look closely at the email API and automation pages before choosing it. For straightforward newsletters and reliable transactional sending at a low price, it is an easy service to test.
