RocketResponder is an email marketing and lead generation tool that pairs lead capture pages and forms with an autoresponder, so a business can collect sign-ups and follow up with them by email from one account. Its homepage headline is "Lead Generation with Email Marketing Automation," and it promises that you can "Create beautiful Lead Captures and Email Marketing Campaigns in minutes" even with no technical skills at all. The site describes the product as "an all-in-one email marketing suite that does the heavy lifting," meant for "every marketer, in any niche, from any industry."

The homepage says RocketResponder is "Powering 7,000+ Across 160+ Countries" and invites new users to "Join 7,000+ others around the world."

What the suite includes

RocketResponder is built from three parts that the homepage names together: lead capture pages, forms, and "a fully featured autoresponder service." The key design choice is that the email side is not a separate product bolted on later. The site describes "email marketing automation, built right into your capture pages," so the page that collects a lead and the sequence that follows up with it live in the same place. A homepage heading puts it in one line, "Everything You Need to Collect & Communicate with Leads by Automation." Another sums the offer up as Lead Capture, Email Automation, List Segmentation, and the homepage frames the goal as communicating with the right people, with the right message, at the right time, whatever your design or technical level.

The company positions this as a way to keep all your marketing under one roof. In its own words, it is "the premier choice for marketing professionals that want all their marketing needs under one roof," and ease of use is the point it returns to most: "Simplicity and ease of use are what you get with the Rocket!" The same section explains the thinking behind it: "We wanted you spend less time trying to figure out HOW to use our system, and more time actually using the tools that are included."

Lead pages, emails and design

Both lead capture pages and emails are designed in the same drag-and-drop template system. The homepage lists what comes with it: professionally designed sections you can easily edit, design elements created by what it calls leading industry designers, and hundreds of thousands of stock images provided free. The idea is that a user with no design background drags finished elements into place instead of starting from a blank page, and the site claims the result looks "like you hired a pro." Its argument is that words on a blank page can look dull however long you spend on them, and that the templates are there to show those words to their best effect.

The company blog shows the same system from the email side. It presents one of RocketResponder's "many email templates which can be customized with drag-and-drop simplicity," and a banner on the blog advertises the Lead Page Builder as "Included FREE with RocketResponder."

Autoresponder and automation in practice

The clearest picture of how the autoresponder is meant to be used comes from the company's guide to email marketing for real estate agents, published on its blog in April 2015. It suggests writing a series of emails that covers what new clients want to know before choosing an agent. You write the series once, and it goes out to every potential client who signs up to your list, with no further work once the emails are written. The same guide suggests timely reminder emails to existing clients about services they may not have used, links inside the emails that take subscribers to a specific page such as a sales page, and separate emails aimed at buyers, sellers and renters so the advice always fits the reader.

The guide describes the system as "highly automated and about as easy to use as sending regular email," and compares RocketResponder to "a sales person who works for you 24 hours a day 7 days a week and who never gets tired." The blog carries similar guides for small businesses and churches, plus practical posts on driving traffic to a blog, moving email lists to a new host and writing better plain-text emails.

Pricing and free trial

Pricing is one flat fee. The homepage says: "For $20 a month, you get access to everything the Rocket has to offer. No fine print! Ever!" It contrasts this with other services that, it says, charge hundreds if not thousands of dollars a month for a fraction of what RocketResponder includes. A 30-day free trial is offered throughout the site ("Try it yourself 30 days free"), with a "Get Started Free" button and a create-account link on the homepage. The homepage gives no contact or sending limits for the $20 plan.

White label, API and partners

RocketResponder has a white-label option. "White Label" sits in the main navigation, and the hero area has its own "White Label? Create Account" link, which makes the product an option for agencies and consultants who want to offer email marketing to their own clients under their own brand. The blog's navigation adds a Partners section, and the footer links to an affiliate program, a developer area labeled Devzone / API, a Digital Library, a support page, and the terms of service, privacy policy and anti-spam policy.

What customers say

Two customers are quoted on the homepage. One says that after trying other services, RocketResponder "was easier for us to use and the price was better than anything out there." The other credits it with a sales increase of 20 to 25% since implementing it.

Who it suits

RocketResponder suits small businesses, solo marketers and service professionals who want lead pages, forms and an autoresponder in one simple tool at a single monthly price, and who would rather drag in ready-made sections than design from scratch. The company's own guides point to real estate agents, small businesses and churches as typical users. Agencies can look at the white-label account. The caveat is detail: the site sells simplicity and says little about segmentation rules, reporting or integrations, so buyers who need those should use the 30-day trial to see the tool in action.
