Robly
Tap a star to rate
Robly is an email marketing platform for small and growing businesses that sends campaigns, drip sequences, autoresponders and triggered emails, with SMS available as an add-on. Its site sums up the pitch as "Email Marketing for Everyone" and "Focus on your business, we'll take care of your emails." The product is built around two promises: growing the list through forms and pop-ups, and getting more of that list to open, which Robly handles with a set of its own tools it calls Open Boost Technology.
The company is Robly Ltd., and its footer runs from 2013 to 2026. A "Robly by the Numbers" panel on the homepage lists 8+ years in business, 25K+ accounts, 12B+ emails sent and 10B+ recipients, and the feature pages say Robly is trusted by 25,000+ businesses globally. The homepage adds that Robly was voted Category Leader on Crozdesk, Leader on G2 and won Gold on Software Reviews, and counts 1,458 five-star reviews.
Open-rate tools
Three features carry the headline claim "Get 50% More Opens"; the homepage puts it more carefully as "up to 50% lift in opens" when they work together.
- RoblyAI times each send to the subscriber. The pricing page describes it as delivering "your campaign at the optimal time for each subscriber," and the feature page talks about syncing sends with subscriber habits for a tailor-made delivery schedule, with better odds of landing at the top of the inbox rather than in spam.
- OpenGen follows up with non-openers. It resends the campaign "to those who did not open the first time," with a new subject line, so one campaign gets a second attempt at the people who missed it.
- RoblyEngage works on the list itself: it brings back unengaged users, bumps inactive subscribers from your regular sends, and targets and removes non-openers, which the pricing page says can "possibly lower your bill."
A fourth tool, Robly Jetstreams, sits under deliverability. The site describes it as dynamically routing your traffic through whichever available IPs are performing well at any moment, adjusting in real time to avoid blocked or poorly performing IPs and to keep a consistent sending reputation. The navigation also links to a separate Inbox Placement (deliverability) page.
Building campaigns
The homepage breaks a campaign into four steps: set the campaign name and labels, choose your audience, set your content, and schedule or send right away. Emails are built in a drag-and-drop editor where you place images, text blocks and buttons, starting from a library of mobile-responsive templates grouped into categories for occasions such as a sale, lead nurturing or an event announcement. Templates can carry videos and countdown timers, and the site says they adjust automatically to fit the screen. For teams without a designer, the pricing page offers a customized template for $99.00, and several customer testimonials describe Robly's designers building a branded template and moving contacts over before the customer first logged in.
Automation and drip campaigns
Robly Automations covers date-based triggers, engagement triggers, updating subscriber data, triggering a series and instant autoresponders. The site's examples run from birthday emails to re-engagement campaigns and triggered journeys. Drip Campaigns take each customer down a personalized path: you apply specific conditions to guide each subscriber to the right branch, manage each step, and track every stage of the journey to spot trends.
Segments, A/B tests and reports
Segmentation lets you target inactive users, focus sends on engaged subscribers, or build campaigns to win back lost customers. One customer testimonial on the site describes building complex segments with multiple "and's and or's," user behaviors and tags. A/B testing compares several versions of a campaign, runs on your schedule, and can automatically send the winning variation based on real-time data. Real-time reports give the key campaign statistics and show trends across campaigns.
Forms, pop-ups, landing pages and surveys
List growth is the other half of the product. Robly offers pop-up forms, embedded forms, Facebook forms and hosted forms, plus tabs and embedded HTML forms for your website. Pop-ups can appear after a delay or on exit intent, just before the visitor leaves, and the homepage claims you can grow your list up to 5x by replacing a traditional sign-up widget with Robly's exit-intent pop-up. The forms page says forms render well on any device, help block out spammers, and are GDPR compliant: the consent wording is already written in, or you can drop in your own terms.
The landing page builder is drag-and-drop too, with elements you add, remove or restyle to match your brand, and page performance you can monitor. Surveys are tied to your audience: you choose which contacts receive a survey, mix open-ended, multiple-choice and rating-scale questions, and apply tags based on the answers, which then feed segments and follow-up campaigns.
Integrations and API
The homepage promises "100s of integrations including a native Shopify integration, WordPress," along with an API and integrations with Zapier and Segment, and the features page speaks of syncing with over 100 applications. Developers get the Robly API V1 and a High Volume API, and the footer links to a developer center, high-volume sending and transactional emails, so Robly also covers event-driven transactional mail alongside campaigns.
Plans and pricing
Robly prices by contact count, and every email plan lists unlimited emails. The pricing page has a switch between monthly and annual billing and shows two figures for each tier: $19 and $15 a month for up to 500 contacts, $35 and $29 for 501 to 2.5k contacts, and $58 and $49 for 2.5k to 5k contacts, followed by a $79 a month tier and a contact-sales option. The feature list beside the plans includes mobile-responsive templates, RoblyAI, RoblyEngage, OpenGen, A/B email testing, full detailed reports, contact segmentation, signup forms, custom branding, the API, phone support and email and chat support.
"Unlimited" has a ceiling. The pricing FAQ says sending is unlimited only up to 50k contacts; above 50k, plans have sending limits of 10x the contact count, and Robly invites you to discuss custom pricing for any sending size. You change plans yourself from the My Account page.
SMS is sold separately and only "as an add-on to an active Robly email subscription." The SMS tiers are up to 500 SMS for $9 a month, 501 to 1k for $15, 1k to 2.5k for $25, and 2.5k to 5k for $45. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial; the site says you can cancel anytime and no credit card is required.
Support and switching
The feature pages advertise 24/7, US-based, award-winning phone, chat and email support. The pricing page is more specific about the phone line, saying phone support is available during business hours Monday through Friday, and it lists sales hours of Mon to Fri, 9:00am to 5:30pm (EDT). Demos can be booked online. For self-help there is a help center, a video library, free download guides and a platform status page. A "Switch to Robly" link sits on the homepage, and testimonials describe the team moving accounts, segmented lists and images across as part of the switch.
Who it suits
Robly suits small and mid-sized businesses that want campaigns, automation, forms, landing pages and surveys in one account, and that care about open rates enough to use send-time optimization and automatic resends. The price tiers are published and easy to budget against a known list size, and the switch service helps teams leaving another tool. The caveats: unlimited sending stops at 50k contacts, and SMS cannot be bought on its own, only with an email plan.
