RichesInfo EDM
Tap a star to rate
RichesInfo EDM is the newsletter platform (EDM電子報平台) of 瑞鑫資訊, a software company whose product line also covers the MXmail email server, CMS websites, SSL/TLS certificates, vulnerability scanning and social engineering tests. The EDM platform sends bulk newsletters, scheduled and recurring campaigns and triggered emails to subscriber lists, and it comes in two forms: a rented cloud platform with a daily sending allowance, and a host system built at the customer's own site with no limit on volume or sending rate. Its pitch is aimed at organizations tired of paying per message, and the headline says so directly: "不再以封計費,節省經費" (no more billing per email, save money).
Pricing and sending volume
The cloud platform rents for 1,000 a month, written on the pricing block as 1000元/月. That fee buys 10,000 emails a day ("每日一萬封"), and when a send exceeds the day's quota, the remainder goes out the following day rather than being refused or billed as overage. The pricing FAQ explains what the monthly fee covers: the company supplies the bandwidth, web space, network line and a corresponding IP, and the customer maps a host name to it to start sending. The same answer lists the tracking included at that price: delivery, receipt, clicks, clicks on specific links, and auto-responses triggered by a click.
Rental terms are short. The page offers short-term rental with a minimum term of 3 months, after which the customer can extend. For a customer who outgrows 10,000 a day, the FAQ says the company grants free temporary increases in sending volume, and a long-term increase for an added fee. The alternative is host rental (主機型租用), where the hardware and system are built at the customer's end and newsletters can be sent in unlimited quantity, with the sending rate and other options set to the customer's plan. The page presents the setup as a one-time build, and in both cases the company helps the customer complete the DNS records the mail needs.
The site's case for this model is about cost and proof. Bulk email is usually billed per message, it argues, the totals get high, and a vendor often charges on the strength of a handshake with the receiving server rather than proof that the mail arrived. 瑞鑫資訊 answers with no cap on quantity, 10,000 a day with the rest sent the next day, and one flat monthly rental fee.
Getting started and testing
To try the platform, the company issues a cloud test account so a customer can learn the features and apply to send test mailings. It helps confirm the DNS declarations, and a downloadable document lists test notes and setup recommendations, so the move is mostly a DNS change. Because the company provides the cloud space, the system front end and back end, and the bandwidth, the FAQ says the customer only needs to adjust DNS to go live. Test applications go through a form in the download area or straight to the company, and the page says all of this is free. The homepage adds that the company's online services come with a free, full-featured 60-day test ("提供免費全功能 60 天完整測試與使用").
Subscribers, lists and forms
Subscribers can be added in several ways: online subscription with restriction conditions, manual entry, automatic subscription, CSV and text file import, database import and sync, LDAP sync, and automatic subscription sync from accounts in the company's own CMS. The system can automatically clean out fake or invalid subscriber accounts. Lists are organized in categories that can be added, deleted, and shown or hidden on the public site. Each list can have its own welcome email and unsubscribe email, its own read permissions, and its own statistics, subscriber lookup and unsubscribed lookup.
Custom subscriber fields cover text, text areas, radio buttons, checkboxes, single and multiple choice dropdowns, dates, file uploads, phone numbers, custom text and a language setting. For each field the administrator decides whether it shows on the public form, sets default values and error messages, caps the number of characters and sets the field width. Subscription forms can sit on the site as a module, a popup, or in the header or footer area. Filters work on list category, subscriber fields, post-send statistics and contact lists; they can be saved, applied automatically to later sends, or run after other trigger actions.
Editor and templates
Newsletters are built in the platform's own editor, either by drag and drop or in HTML with custom syntax, and source code can be imported. The platform ships built-in templates, offers more to download online, and lets users create and keep their own. The feature summary also lists automatic responsive display across devices.
Sending and automation
Manual immediate sending is the basic option. Beyond it the page lists scheduled sends at a set date and time; recurring sends on custom daily, weekly or monthly cycles with preset content; condition-triggered sends, such as a second marketing email when a subscriber clicks a link; A/B test sends that compare different content; an automatic welcome email for each new subscriber; an automatic unsubscribe email that can include a survey; date-triggered emails based on a date stored in the subscriber's record; and bulk sends to everyone matching a custom trigger condition. Automation triggers can fire at subscription, when a newsletter is sent, or when a subscriber updates their data. A queue view shows the mail waiting to go out.
Delivery settings and reporting
The platform supports DKIM signatures for newsletters and handles bounces automatically, classifying them and applying preset actions. Each newsletter can use its own receiving, bounce and sender addresses, and images can be embedded as attachments or left out. The sending rate is adjustable, though the page notes that this setting is not open on the cloud rental. Records can be set to delete themselves to keep the database lean, subscribe, unsubscribe and click actions can redirect to chosen pages, and subscribe and unsubscribe forms can carry extra fields or a questionnaire. Further components can be integrated on a project basis.
Reports give delivery, open, click and bounce rates for a single newsletter and across all sends, with data export. An administrator can list every account that clicked a given link, with the time, or look up one subscriber to see what they received and clicked.
Support and security
The homepage describes help through testing, go-live and operation: "從簡報說明介紹,到測試環境架構,以至於實際上線與線上服務,專業諮詢問題,我們將協助您建構系統與服務" (from the introductory presentation to the test environment, actual go-live and online service, we will help you build your system and service). Around it the company offers technical training, an online course platform, an FAQ, online consultation, and file downloads, some reserved for resellers or for customers under warranty. It sells through resellers, who have their own area on the site, and has offices in Taoyuan and Hsinchu. On security, the site says its systems automatically block abnormal connections and repeated failed logins. Feature requests are evaluated, and those adopted are released to user systems at no charge.
According to the homepage, more than 6,000 organizations use the company's online services, from individual businesses up to listed companies and government units. The homepage also reminds customers that email marketing is allowed, but it must follow the rules for email and give recipients a way to refuse and unsubscribe.
Who it suits
RichesInfo EDM suits organizations that send large volumes of newsletters and want a fixed monthly cost instead of per-email billing, and those that would rather run the platform on their own host with no sending cap. Its list tools, custom fields and trigger options make it a complete newsletter system for a company's members or customers. The caveats are practical: the site is written in Chinese, the cloud plan's 10,000-a-day ceiling means a large list goes out over several days, and it is an email platform rather than a wider marketing suite, with integrations beyond LDAP, databases and the company's own CMS arranged as projects.
