What Positive User is

Positive User is a French marketing automation and customer engagement platform. It sends email newsletters, campaigns and automated journeys, and adds SMS, WhatsApp, web and mobile push, live chat and chatbots, and mobile wallet passes in the same product. The site announces that "Sarbacane becomes Positive User" and labels the product "ex-Sarbacane", while customer quotes still refer to User.com, the domain it runs on. It belongs to Positive, a group whose other products the site lists as Surfer, Signitic and Iconosquare, and the footer reads Positive Groupe France with an address in Hem, France.

The site gives several scale figures. The Positive group panel shows 45,000 customers, 800,000+ users worldwide and a 4.8 Trustpilot score. The home page says Positive has helped businesses connect with their customers for 25 years, with 300+ experts across Europe and 800,000+ monthly active users, and that its solutions help more than 100,000 teams, from startups to established European leaders. The email page says it is trusted by +15,000 marketing teams. The product is organized for marketing, sales, customer service and product teams, with industry pages for education, e-commerce, finance, SaaS, real estate, web hosting, healthcare and travel.

Building and sending email

The email builder is drag and drop and needs no code: blocks, images and layouts are arranged in a visual editor to produce responsive templates that match a brand's visual identity. A Studio keeps reusable templates in one design library. The blog adds a set of 40 free responsive newsletter templates that the company's web designers made for e-commerce, events, associations, tourism and other uses.

Personalization goes past a first-name field. Dynamic content blocks change with each contact's profile, behavior or segment, and conditional fields show different products, offers or calls to action to different audiences. Campaigns can be segmented by purchase history and scheduled for peak engagement. The FAQ lists the kinds of email the platform sends: marketing campaigns, newsletters, automated sequences, cart recovery emails, re-engagement flows and event-triggered messages.

For deliverability, the email page lists email authentication with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, dedicated IP options and real-time sender reputation monitoring. One ready workflow throttles large sends by priority to protect inbox placement during peak campaigns. The blog covers related topics such as why a no-reply sender address hurts campaigns and how to lower the rate of invalid addresses.

An AI writing assistant rephrases, polishes, translates or summarizes copy, and generates subject lines and test variations. The home page describes the whole platform as powered by AI across website, email, SMS, chat, mobile, notifications and wallet.

Reporting shows open rates, click-through rates, bounces and conversions in real time, and reports can be exported or shared with the team. Contacts are imported from multiple sources, deduplicated and cleaned of invalid addresses, then stored in one database with advanced segmentation. Signup forms, pop-ups and landing pages capture new leads.

Automation and the use-case library

Workflows automate personalized engagement around the clock. A welcome sequence starts when someone subscribes, and email can be combined with SMS, push and WhatsApp in one journey. For B2B teams the FAQ mentions nurturing sequences, deal-stage triggers and pipeline-connected workflows, and the email page says contacts, deals and engagement data sync with an existing CRM; the site itself describes User as a CRM and marketing automation platform.

The playbook holds 50+ ready-to-deploy workflows sorted into acquisition, conversion, upsell, retention and reactivation. Examples on the site include:

  • reactivating quiet leads and re-engaging customers who have gone silent for months
  • birthday discounts, first purchase anniversaries and product usage milestones
  • abandoned cart recovery and reminders to reorder before a product runs out
  • double opt-in confirmation flows, including one that rewards confirmation with a discount
  • an NPS survey sent seven days after every order, and requests for customer reviews
  • syncing Facebook Lead Ads into the sales pipeline and assigning a rep
  • webinar reminders across email, SMS and push
  • mobile wallet loyalty passes that update with every change in points and tier

Other channels and data

Beyond email, the channel list covers SMS marketing, WhatsApp, web push, mobile push, mobile app marketing with in-app messages, live chat and chatbots, mobile wallet, and website experience tools such as discount widgets, scratch-card pop-ups and flashing browser-tab messages. The features list adds visitor tracking, a customer data platform with real-time data and 360° profiles, and a fully integrated loyalty program. Developers get API documentation, mobile SDK documentation and an integrations directory.

Pricing, data and support

Prices sit on a separate pricing page. The feature pages offer a free start, a free trial and a demo.

On data, the Positive group panel states "ISO 27001 certified", "Local, sovereign infrastructure" and "100% made and hosted in Europe". The home page says the platform is "GDPR-compliant, privacy-first", and the French blog describes Positive User as a 100% French solution. The site has a Trust Center section.

Support is pitched as local and human. The home page promises local teams across Europe, experts who answer in your language, a dedicated coach to build a plan, and workshops and reviews in your language and time zone, whether you run the platform yourself or have the team run it for you. The phone line +33 3 28 32 80 40 is listed in the header, and the free support line is staffed Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 18:00, and Friday until 17:00. A knowledge base, help center, blog and ebooks cover self-service. The site is available in English, French, Polish, German, Italian and Spanish.

Results customers report

The customer stories cite Carrefour raising revenue by 88% with automation, Bricomarché reaching a 30% click-through rate on some newsletter campaigns, and LG Electronics doubling revenue and open rates, with LG Electronics Poland quoted at a 50% open rate for automated emails. Bouncer is quoted keeping conversion steady through 500% year-on-year growth, and Somfy's e-commerce team reports 162% more newsletter subscribers in 2 years. A story about the fundraising service Tribee is also featured.

Who it suits

Positive User suits European marketing teams that want email at the center with SMS, WhatsApp, push and wallet around it, and that value human support in their own language and hosting in Europe. E-commerce teams get cart recovery, loyalty passes and repeat purchase flows, SaaS and app teams get in-app messages and usage milestones, and B2B teams get deal-stage triggers and pipeline sync. The ready workflow library shortens setup for teams without automation experience. A buyer comparing costs should open the pricing page early, since the feature pages focus on capabilities.
