What Pabbly Email Marketing is

Pabbly Email Marketing is the newsletter and campaign tool of Pabbly, the trading name of MagnetBrains LLC. Its FAQ describes it as a platform for sending "newsletters, promotional emails, product updates, and automated email campaigns to your customers, leads, and subscribers from one dashboard." The product's selling point is its pricing model: instead of charging more as a list grows, the top plan covers unlimited subscribers at a flat monthly price, and sending volume depends on the SMTP the customer chooses.

It is one application in the Pabbly family, which also includes Pabbly Connect for app integrations and automation, Pabbly Subscription Billing for payments, Pabbly Chatflow for WhatsApp conversations, Pabbly Form Builder, Pabbly Hook for webhooks and Pabbly Email Verification. Email Marketing can be bought on its own or as part of Pabbly Plus, a package that gives access to every Pabbly application at one price. The Pabbly homepage says the company is trusted by 14,099+ businesses and supports 2,000+ integrations.

How sending works

Every account needs an SMTP to send, and the FAQ lays out the two routes. The first is Pabbly Send with Us, the built-in SMTP included with every plan. It starts at 500 emails a day, and the limit "may increase over time based on your sending history, email engagement, and account review, up to a maximum of 100,000 emails per day." The second is to connect an outside provider such as Amazon SES, SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, SparkPost or Mandrill, and the FAQ says that with your own SMTP, Pabbly Email Marketing does not impose a sending limit. That is where the "unlimited email sending" in the plans comes from.

A customer can connect up to 50 SMTPs "to distribute sending and improve deliverability", with routing between them. Getting started follows five steps in the FAQ: import or add subscribers, add and verify the sender address, connect an SMTP, create the campaign, and send it at once or schedule it. Several businesses or brands can be managed from one account, which suits a consultant or small agency, and every plan allows unlimited team members.

Building campaigns

There are three ways to write an email. The drag-and-drop builder places images, buttons, columns, dividers, video, social links and HTML blocks, with mobile-responsive layouts by default and a place to save sections for reuse. The rich text builder works like a word processor for quick, text-focused newsletters. The HTML builder takes pasted or hand-written code for full control over markup. Merge tags work in all three, and a library of responsive templates covers newsletters, promotions and announcements. A campaign carries a subject line and a pre-header, and the campaign type is either Regular or API / Workflow Campaign. Before a send, a summary shows unique recipients and how many were excluded as hard bounces or unsubscribes.

Lists, segmentation and automation

Subscribers arrive by CSV import, through supported integrations or through embeddable signup forms, and the FAQ recommends importing only people who opted in. They are organized with unlimited tags and segments, filters and custom fields. Lead scoring and subscriber activity show who the most engaged subscribers are. Under the fair usage policy, a customer can delete and replace up to 50% of its subscribers each month; the FAQ's example is an account of 50,000 that can remove 25,000 and add 25,000 new ones.

Automation runs welcome series, drip campaigns and re-engagement flows with time delays and trigger conditions. The FAQ says an email can go out automatically when a subscriber joins a list, clicks a link, submits a form or performs another action. The visual workflow builder shown on the page has triggers for subscriber lifecycle, lead score and the anniversary of a date, and actions for sending an email, adding a delay, routing, filtering and sending a webhook, so a welcome email can be followed a day later by a product email and then split by whether the subscriber showed interest. Auto follow-ups re-send to non-openers; one customer quoted on the page, Simon Carel, says it lets his team "send emails to non-openers with one click."

Reporting tracks opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes and conversions in real time, with campaign-level reports.

Plans and prices

The pricing section offers billing monthly, yearly (save 12%), every two years (save 17%) or every three years (save 25%), and the plan cards list:

  • Free Plan: "Try it free for 30 days", 100 subscribers, no credit card required.
  • Standard: 10,000 subscribers, $17 per month (normally $19), or ₹1,499 a month when paying in rupees.
  • Unlimited: unlimited subscribers under the fair usage policy, $69 per month (normally $79), or ₹6,249 a month.

The page's headline offer is "Unlimited Subscribers for $59/month", and a comparison table on the page puts Pabbly at $14 a month for lists of 500 to 10,000 subscribers and $59 a month from 25,000 upward. Every plan includes the built-in SMTP, unlimited sending through an external SMTP, the drag-and-drop builder, unlimited tags and segmentation, imports and forms, automations and auto follow-ups, multiple SMTPs with routing, lead scoring, open and click tracking, analytics, personalization and unlimited team members. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies, with refunds requested by email within 30 days.

Security and support

The page says Pabbly Email Marketing is "ISO 27001:2022 certified and SOC 2 Type 2 compliant", that all data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and that OAuth tokens sit in a hardware-backed vault. Support runs through tickets, with separate sales and FAQ email addresses. For self-help, Pabbly counts 12,274+ video tutorials and says it releases 10+ new ones a day on average, and it runs the Pabbly Community and a Facebook group. Developers get API documentation.

Who it suits

The flat price makes Pabbly Email Marketing most attractive to senders with large or fast-growing lists who would otherwise pay per contact, especially if they already have an Amazon SES, SendGrid or Mailgun account, since external SMTP sending is not capped. A small business can start on the built-in SMTP without any setup, as long as 500 emails a day at first is enough while the limit grows. Teams already using Pabbly Connect, Subscription Billing or Form Builder get email in the same family of tools, and agencies benefit from multiple businesses and unlimited team members in one account. The trade-off is that the sender has to manage an SMTP choice at all: high volume on the built-in relay tops out at 100,000 emails a day, so bigger sends need a connected provider.
