What Nieuwsbriefsysteem is
Nieuwsbriefsysteem ("newsletter system") is a Dutch newsletter platform run from Cornelis Drebbelstraat in Utrecht. It does one job: collecting subscribers, building a newsletter from a template, sending it to chosen lists and reporting on what happened afterwards. The homepage sums it up as "Verzamel je abonnees, maak een aanmeldformulier, verstuur de nieuwsbrief en analyseer de resultaten" (collect your subscribers, make a signup form, send the newsletter and analyze the results).
The company pitches the tool at self-employed people and SME owners ("zelfstandigen en MKB-ondernemers"), and its page on sending newsletters says it serves everyone from relatively small businesses using email for acquisition to mid-sized companies keeping customers up to date. The whole system is in Dutch ("Volledig Nederlandstalig"), and the homepage says a new user can start sending within 60 seconds of signing up.
What a sender gets
Subscribers and lists. The subscribers section lets a sender import existing contacts or recruit new ones through the website. The sending page describes adding all contacts and then selecting the ones a newsletter should go to, creating a signup field ("inschrijfveld") on the website, and segmenting email lists by areas of interest. Lists are easy to create and extend, the number of subscribers is unlimited ("Onbeperkt aantal abonnees"), and an account can be opened to several users.
The editor and templates. A sender picks a ready-made professional template and adapts it to the company's house style in what the site calls a user-friendly newsletter editor. Asked whether someone without newsletter experience can make an attractive newsletter, the FAQ answers yes: the editor lets the sender bring in the brand style and decide the layout without technical or design knowledge, and fill it with text and images, videos and infographics. After that, the site says, a professional newsletter goes out within a few clicks.
Sending. The feature list promises automated sending with excellent delivery ("Geautomatiseerde verzending met uitstekende aflevering"). A sending reputation feature ("Verzendreputatie") prevents mail from going to unsafe email addresses, which protects the sender's standing with mailbox providers. The newsletter can also be connected to the sender's website and social media accounts.
Reporting. After every newsletter the system produces an overview report answering the two questions the site puts first: who opened the newsletter, and who clicked through to the website. The same report shows coverage across the country, so a sender sees where its customers are and where the marketing needs more attention. Newsletters can also be tracked in Google Analytics, which the page suggests using to follow visitor behavior after the click and to change the landing page when visitors leave too quickly. Customer testimonials on the homepage mention clear graphs and reports that carry a lot of information.
Plans and pricing
Pricing is by the number of emails sent per month. The homepage has a small package finder that asks how many newsletters the sender sends per month and how many subscribers it has, then lists three packages:
- Pakket 1.500: € 22 per month for 1.500 emails per month.
- Pakket 2.500: € 38 per month for 2.500 emails per month.
- Pakket 5.000: € 55 per month for 5.000 emails per month.
All prices are stated excluding VAT ("exclusief BTW"), and a "Meer pakketten" (more packages) link points to further tiers beyond these three. The FAQ explains the logic with an example: a sender with 750 contacts who mails twice a month should pick a package that allows 1500 newsletters. It says volume can be 500 emails a month or many times that, and that a sender whose list grows can switch to a package that fits better.
There is a free trial of 30 days rather than a free plan. The trial account gives immediate access to all functions of the system, is deleted automatically after 30 days, and carries no further obligations.
Security, support and reviews
The site says data is well protected and that the company makes daily backups ("we maken dagelijks back-ups"). Support is one of the points the company leans on. The page on sending says every user gets live support alongside accessible instruction videos, and that questions can be asked by phone, email or chat, with a quick personal answer. The homepage highlights "Snelle e-mail support" (fast email support), and a phone number for advice appears in the site header. One testimonial mentions being helped with a short explanatory video.
The site shows 55 reviews with an average score of 8,9. The sending page adds that users rate the system an 8, mainly for ease of use and the professional look of the newsletters, and give the service a 9. Five customer quotes on the homepage come from businesses including Concept21, Via Milia, De Bovenverdieping BV, EasyLogic and Walensee Apartments. One says that within a few months the tool had become one of the main pillars of its marketing; another calls it the solution the company had been looking for, simple to use and quick to implement.
How it fits into a sender's work
The product is built around the regular newsletter rather than around complex customer journeys. A typical cycle on Nieuwsbriefsysteem runs like this: import the existing contact list or set up a signup field on the website, pick a template and bring it into the house style, write the content with text, images or video, choose the interest segment that should receive it, and send. The report then shows opens, clicks and the geographic spread of readers, and Google Analytics picks up what visitors do once they land on the site. Because pricing is by emails per month and subscribers are unlimited, a sender can keep a large list of occasional readers and pay only for the volume actually sent.
The site does not describe marketing automation flows, A/B testing, an API or SMS; the platform is presented as a newsletter tool.
Who it suits
Nieuwsbriefsysteem suits Dutch freelancers, small businesses and mid-sized companies that want to send a regular newsletter in their own language without learning a complex tool. The prices are low and easy to read: a sender with a few hundred contacts mailing once or twice a month fits the 22 euro package, and even the 5.000 package stays at 55 euros. The unlimited subscriber count, multi-user access and live support by phone, email and chat make it practical for a small marketing team or an office where several people share the newsletter.
It is a narrower fit for senders who need behavior-based journeys, testing or an integration with an online store, since the site presents the product as a newsletter tool first. It is also written entirely for a Dutch-speaking audience. For a Dutch business that wants an easy editor, clear reports and a person to call, the 30 day trial is a low-risk way to see whether the tool covers what it needs.
