A messaging platform with email at the center
MoonMail sells itself as more than an email tool. The home page calls it an "All in one Messaging Platform" and lists the channels it covers: email, SMS, voice, WhatsApp, FB Messenger, and push notifications through Amazon (ADPM), Apple (APNs), and Baidu and Firebase (FCM). The headline promise is to "Boost Sales & Conversion Rates", and the argument behind it is a claim that 93% of customers are more likely to purchase when you connect with them on multiple channels.
Email campaigns are still the core of what the site describes in detail: the builder, segmentation, automation, analytics, templates and integrations all come up under the heading "Everything You Need to Succeed". The platform is cloud-hosted, and its switching pages pitch it as "Cloud-hosted without server headaches", aimed at senders who do not want to manage their own sending software. The customers the pages quote are a marketing director and an e-commerce owner, and the footer points to a Shopify app and a Zapier connection, which places MoonMail with online stores and small marketing teams.
Building and sending a campaign
Campaigns are built in a drag-and-drop builder. The site's line for it is "Create beautiful emails without coding. Intuitive interface that works." Templates are part of the same workflow, and the site says "All templates automatically adjust for perfect mobile rendering", so a campaign built on a template should display on phones without a separate mobile version. Its feature table marks custom templates as "Unlimited" on MoonMail, which suits a brand that keeps several house designs for newsletters, promotions and announcements.
A/B testing is ticked in the same table. The pages do not break it down by subject line or content, so treat it as a split-testing feature for campaigns rather than a detailed testing lab.
Segments and automation
Segmentation uses behavioral and demographic filters: "Target the right audience with behavioral and demographic filters." That combination lets a sender pick contacts by what they did (opened, clicked) and by who they are, then send each group its own campaign. The analytics section adds "advanced segmentation insights", so segment performance shows up in reporting rather than living only in the list tools.
Automation gets two descriptions. The feature grid says you can "Set up complex workflows with triggers, delays, and conditional logic." The benefits block repeats it as "Advanced Automation. Behavioral triggers, drip campaigns, and sophisticated workflows that actually work." A drip campaign that welcomes a new subscriber, waits a set time, then branches on whether they clicked is the kind of flow those words describe, and the feature table grades MoonMail's automation workflows as "Advanced".
Channels beyond email
The multi-channel pitch is spelled out as "Email, SMS, Voice, WhatsApp, and push notifications", not just email campaigns. The home page adds FB Messenger to the list and names the push services it sends through: Amazon (ADPM), Apple (APNs), and Baidu and Firebase (FCM).
On SMS, the comparison table on MoonMail's switching pages lists SMS marketing as "Included" for MoonMail rather than an add-on. A store that wants to send a campaign email and a follow-up text from the same audience does not need a second vendor for it, according to that table.
Analytics and reporting
Reporting is described in two places. The feature grid says "Track opens, clicks, conversions, and revenue in real-time dashboards." The benefits block adds "Real-time reporting, heat maps, click tracking, and advanced segmentation insights built-in." Revenue tracking is the part that matters most to a shop: it ties a campaign to the sales it produced, not just to opens.
The home page backs the multi-channel case with three headline figures: "47% Revenue increase per customer", "39% Improvement in customer satisfaction" and "33% Growth in customer lifetime value". These are the company's own marketing claims, printed without a study or method behind them, and a buyer should read them that way.
API, developers and integrations
Developers get a clear promise: "Full API access available on every plan, not restricted to enterprise tiers." The feature table marks API access as "Full Access". The footer has a For Developers section with API documentation, an Open Source link and a page called MoonMail's Sending Statistics, and the community links point to Stack Overflow, Quora and a MoonMail Experts page.
For integrations the site says "Connect with Shopify, WordPress, Zapier, and hundreds of other tools." Shopify, WordPress and Zapier are the three it names. The footer lists a MoonMail for Shopify page and a Zapier page under Tools, which is where a store owner would start connecting a shop.
Pricing, trial and guarantee
The comparison table on the switching pages gives MoonMail's starting price as $29/month for 2,500 contacts ("Starting Price (2,500 contacts)"). The benefits block repeats "Start at $29/month". No higher tier is printed next to it; the site links to a separate Pricing page and an "Email Marketing Software Pricing Comparison" page for the rest.
Getting started has several routes. The header offers "Sign Up Free", the switching pages offer "Start Free Trial", "Talk to Sales" and "Schedule Demo", and the home page invites visitors to "Check our fully functional Demo today." The closing banner lists the terms: "No credit card required • Free migration • 30-day money-back guarantee".
Migration and support
Moving from another tool is handled for you. Under "Free Migration Assistance" the site says its migration team will handle:
- complete contact list transfer with all custom fields and tags
- email template migration and optimization
- historical campaign data and analytics
- automation workflow recreation
- segmentation and list structure setup
The site adds that "Most migrations complete within 24 hours with zero downtime for your campaigns." One of the quoted customers, Michael T., an e-commerce owner, says the MoonMail team moved everything in one day without losing data.
Support is promised as "24/7 Support. Real humans available around the clock. No waiting days for a response." The feature table lists support as "24/7 Chat & Email". The footer also carries an anti-spam policy and a page titled "Receiving Spam From MoonMail?", plus a Transparency and Openness page.
Who it suits
MoonMail suits an online store or small business that wants email and other channels under one account: a Shopify shop sending campaigns, SMS and push to the same customers, or a small team that wants drip automation, revenue tracking and A/B testing without running its own server. The API on every plan is useful for a developer who wants to trigger sends from an app on a starter budget, and the free migration service lowers the cost of moving an existing list with its custom fields, tags and templates. The $29/month entry point for 2,500 contacts, the free trial without a credit card and the 30-day money-back guarantee make it cheap to test.
It suits less a buyer who needs to plan costs at a larger list size, since the pages print only the starting tier. The pages make no statements about data location or compliance, so an organization with formal data protection requirements would need that information from sales before choosing it.
