Mailkit is a Czech email marketing platform that sends campaigns, automated and triggered email, and SMS for companies that mail at volume. The homepage describes it as a "Sophisticated marketing automation platform with easy implementation and professional support", and the About page says the company has been developing the platform since 2006 and calls it "a Czech e-mailing platform with our own infrastructure and a leader in international email distribution". The contact page lists Mailkit s.r.o. with its HQ in Chrášťany and a head office in Prague 8, plus a Mailkit India office with its own sales contact.

The pitch is deliverability first. Mailkit says it owns its sending infrastructure, acts as "the sole processor of your data", and only lets senders onto the platform who follow good email practice.

What a sender gets

Campaign creation. The features page promises that everything needed to build a campaign is there from the start: 328 ready-to-use templates and a drag and drop visual creator (the About page puts it as "over 300 ready-to-use drag & drop templates"). For more technical users the editor handles variables, loops and conditions. AMP support is built into the editor, and a free photo database comes with it. One customer on the homepage says her team prepares weekly newsletters in 10 languages and values the modular drag and drop blocks.

Segmentation and the engagement score. Mailkit's engagement score measures how engaged each recipient is with the emails a company sends, and the features page says a sender can send based on individual behavior reports. Contact management lets a user segment, filter and view the history of the database, and the mailing list is refreshed automatically. The company pitches this as a way to cut sending costs, improve deliverability and raise campaign performance.

Personalization and dynamic content. Content can follow each recipient's actual behavior and preferences, and the features page offers the example of shoe size or a favorite pastime. A sender can personalize the subject line and body and send from an individual's name and address rather than a general one. Dynamic content is built from smart templates, and the site mentions campaigns based on season, trends and customer preferences, down to hyper-personalized campaigns for a brand's most loyal fans.

Automation. Automated mailings use the data a company has collected on its customers. The features page names abandoned cart reminders that invite a customer to finish an order, triggers for the right moment to email, and remarketing campaigns for customers who are interested but have not bought. Automated journeys can also be started from outside through the API.

Campaign management and testing. Before a send, a user can check the spam score and preview how the email will look in recipients' inboxes. Scheduling offers instant, contentless and automatic sending. A/B testing splits a sample of recipients into two control groups, and once the test ends the more successful version goes automatically to the rest of the database.

Reporting. Real-time visual statistics cover readership, click-through rates, sales and metrics based on demographics and other data, and a user can examine each contact's behavior in detail.

Accounts and agencies. An agency that mails for several clients, or a large company active in several markets, can set up as many sub-accounts as it needs, with up to 4 levels of access rights on each account and sub-account. Campaigns can go out from several authorized sender addresses. The site runs an agency partnership program and says a customer can decide whether and when to bring its in-house or agency team onto the platform.

API. The API documentation groups its methods by task: 11 for campaign management (creating, updating, scheduling by time zone, test messages, history), 18 for mailing list management (adding and editing users, imports, unsubscribes, engagement, revalidating addresses, topics), 4 for delivery (single mail, mass mail and SMS), a journey trigger, 11 reporting methods covering messages, recipients, links, bounces and raw data, plus an Event API and a file manager. Code examples are given in PHP and Perl. A customer on the homepage says connecting its internal system through the API was easy thanks to detailed documentation.

Pricing, services and compliance

The homepage states: "Volume based pricing starting from $389/month." The contact form asks how many emails a company sends each month, and the sales team offers to build a plan around the campaign objectives, so the exact price depends on volume.

Mailkit sells services around the platform. Email authentication protects a brand's domain from impersonation. Inbox brand visibility covers premium options from message highlighting to showing the brand's logo in the inbox, and the site offers a BIMI inspector among its resources. Email training teaches best practice from the start, and a deliverability service rests on vetting and continuous quality checks. The deliverability page says: "With Mailkit, we can guarantee that the deliverability of your emails will always be at the highest level possible." It describes the vetting as rigorous and says the company keeps checking the quality of each sender's practices.

The About page lists ISO 9001, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 27017, ISO 27018 and ISO 20000 certifications and membership of the Certified Senders Alliance, M3AAWG and Signal Spam. The company has a named Data Protection Officer contact, and its privacy recommendations are published alongside its terms.

Customer support is available in Czech and English by phone and email, with "swift problem solving" as the promise. A knowledge base, API documentation, a blog and a status page complete the resources.

What customers say

The homepage carries a row of customer quotes, mostly from marketing managers and specialists. A senior campaign manager at ČSOB Insurance Companies says they use Mailkit for campaigns from single emails up to tens of thousands and receive solutions to unusual technical questions by email within hours. The sales and marketing director of KetoDiet says email is the company's top channel for price and performance thanks to Mailkit. Others praise "The unbeatable deliverability of our emails combined with dynamic content, advanced trigger campaign creation, and sophisticated customer database segmentation", and one says "The tool is clear and easy to use. Communication with the team is perfect."

Who it suits

Mailkit fits companies that send enough email for deliverability to be a business issue: online shops running abandoned cart and remarketing flows, insurers mailing large customer bases, and brands sending newsletters in several languages. The starting price of $389 a month makes it a platform for established senders rather than a first newsletter. Agencies get unlimited sub-accounts with layered access rights, and developers get a well-documented API that covers campaigns, lists, sending, SMS, journeys and reports.

Teams that value certifications and a vetted sender pool will find a long ISO list and industry memberships. The flip side of the vetting is that Mailkit decides who may send: only senders who follow best email practices are admitted. Support is offered in Czech and English.
