MAILINGWORK
Tap a star to rate
MAILINGWORK is an email marketing software for the German-speaking market, built for mid-size companies and enterprises. The homepage headline reads "Professionelles E-Mail Marketing für Mittelstand und Enterprise" (professional email marketing for mid-size companies and enterprises) and sums up the offer as personalized newsletters, automated email campaigns, a multi-account solution and first-class service "alles in einer Software", all in one piece of software. The product is sold as a SaaS service, and the site footer names the company behind it as Positive Group Chemnitz GmbH. The site says more than 800 companies use MAILINGWORK for their email marketing.
Its own FAQ defines what it sells: a tool "zum Erstellen, Automatisieren, Versenden, Auswerten und Optimieren von Mailings und automatisierten Kampagnen", for creating, automating, sending, analyzing and optimizing mailings and automated campaigns. The site is written in German and addresses readers informally.
What a sender gets
The editor. Emails are designed in a drag-and-drop editor. The company says a sender picks from professional templates and adapts them to the company's corporate identity, so that each mailing carries the brand's own design.
Segmentation. The site says a few clicks are enough to segment subscribers by age, interests, or open and click behavior. The point, in the company's words, is to tune each newsletter precisely to its recipients and send relevant content, which the page ties to higher open rates.
Personalization. MAILINGWORK says its personalization goes "weit über Anrede und Namen hinaus", well beyond greeting and name. The software sends content based on a recipient's earlier email clicks, so that each email reads as if written for that person. A customer from LHG Leipziger Handelsgesellschaft praises exactly this, saying matching emails to user interests and playing them out dynamically has rarely been possible in such variety.
Automation. Automated campaigns are set up once and then run on their own. The site names welcome series, reminder emails and follow-up messages as typical uses, and the homepage adds transactional campaigns to the automation solution, with content personalized for each target group so that recipients get relevant messages at the right time. A separate email marketing automation section of the site covers this in more depth. One customer review, from postina.net GmbH, lists what it builds with the tool: "mehrstufige Kampagnen anlegen, Landeseiten, Dialogmails, Triggermails" (multi-stage campaigns, landing pages, dialog mails, trigger mails), all combined across target groups as needed.
Cross-channel. MAILINGWORK is not limited to email. The software page says a sender can add other channels such as SMS and postcards to email marketing, to reach contacts "mit dem perfekten Marketing-Mix" and turn them into customers. That suits companies whose customers still respond to physical mail.
Tracking and reporting. Real-time tracking shows at a glance how mailings and campaigns perform, and a user can pull specific reports. The company frames this as the basis for data-driven decisions that raise conversion rates.
Interfaces. The integration section invites customers to connect MAILINGWORK to their CRM, CMS or shop system through a flexible API. The site names three things the API automates: adding subscribers, sending transactional mails and retrieving important data. MAILINGWORK also connects through Zapier to "einer Vielzahl anderer Apps", a large number of other apps. An in-house interface expert helps customers put even complex integration ideas into practice. A customer from BS Systems GmbH & Co. KG says the ability to feed contact data straight into its CRM reduced manual data upkeep to a minimum.
Multi-account setup for brands, locations and resellers
The multi-account solution is the feature that matters most for larger organizations. The homepage says it centralizes email marketing for several brands or locations and is "perfekt für komplexe Organisationen, Agenturen und Reseller". Each brand, branch or client is organized in its own sub-account, while the whole setup is managed centrally. The site gives this its own sections for email marketing across several locations, across several brands, and for resellers, and it runs a partner program for agencies and resellers.
Service, industries and customers
The company presents its service as part of the product under the heading "Wir bieten mehr als nur die Software" (we offer more than just the software), with three parts:
- Intensives Onboarding, intensive onboarding meant to fit the software quickly and smoothly into the customer's processes.
- Fester Ansprechpartner, a fixed contact person who specializes in the requirements of the customer's industry.
- Technischer Support, which the site calls excellent and available for all questions.
The BS Systems review adds that the guided onboarding process made many things easier. A help center, a blog and downloads sit alongside the service offer.
MAILINGWORK names the industries it serves: agencies, the automotive industry, banks and financial institutions, industry and mechanical engineering, pharma, chemicals and healthcare, schools and education, tourism and travel, publishing and media, insurers, and utilities. The customer reviews on the site come from that world: Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein, LHG Leipziger Handelsgesellschaft, postina.net GmbH, BS Systems GmbH & Co. KG, Händlerbund Management AG and HYDAC DIGITAL GmbH. The Händlerbund reviewer writes "Wir nutzen MAILINGWORK seit fast 12 Jahren" (we have been using MAILINGWORK for almost 12 years), and says the tool has been improved continuously and handles the company's special cases well. The HYDAC DIGITAL reviewer calls the SaaS solution feature-rich and modular and says it supports lead nurturing at a high level.
Pricing, demo and data protection
The site has a pricing section, and its FAQ answer on cost links to "unsere Preismodelle" (our pricing models) while explaining that email software prices generally depend on features and on list size or sending volume. The homepage and software page print no plan prices themselves. The main route in is a free demo ("Kostenfreie Demo"), a personal walkthrough in which the team shows how to build emails, segment recipients and set up automated campaigns, and discusses the prospect's needs.
On data protection, the site heads a section "Maximale Sicherheit mit MAILINGWORK" (maximum security with MAILINGWORK), links to a separate security and data protection page, and says the software offers all the professional features needed for "datenschutzkonformes E-Mail Marketing", email marketing that complies with data protection law. The postina.net reviewer singles out data security and high deliverability as what matters most to that company.
Who it suits
MAILINGWORK fits a mid-size or large company in the German-speaking market that wants email, automation and a service relationship from one supplier. The fixed, industry-specialized contact person and the intensive onboarding suit teams that want guidance rather than a self-service tool, and the reviews from a development bank, an industrial group and a retail trade association show the kind of organization that stays for years.
The multi-account setup makes it a strong candidate for groups with several brands or branches, franchise-style organizations and agencies or resellers that run email for many clients in separate sub-accounts. Companies whose customers also respond to SMS or postcards can run those channels from the same system, and developers get an API for subscribers, transactional mail and data, plus Zapier for the long tail of other apps.
The caveats follow from the positioning. The software is sold through a demo and a sales conversation, so it is aimed at organizations with an email budget rather than a solo creator looking for a free starter plan. The site and service are in German, which suits its market and makes it a less natural fit for teams that work only in English.
