MailerMojo is the email marketing platform that Web Hosting Canada (WHC), a hosting company at 7250 Clark Street in Montreal, Quebec, offers to its own hosting customers and to anyone else who wants it. WHC's help center describes it as an easy-to-use email marketing platform for building good-looking emails in minutes, connecting with your contacts, engaging your target audience and turning your content into revenue. It covers campaigns, contact lists with segments, ready-made templates, a prebuilt welcome automation and signup forms. The platform is free with several WHC web hosting plans, and it can also be bought as a standalone service by people who host elsewhere.

Setting up an account

WHC's getting-started guide, published in French on its help center in June 2026, walks through the setup in order, and the steps show what the platform includes. First you complete your profile with details about your project or business. Those details appear in the footer of every email you send, and the guide notes that they must be accurate, as the law requires. Next you add the team members who will have access to MailerMojo under Users, and each of them accepts an invitation sent by email. Then you configure your sender email addresses and your sender domain, and the guide recommends authenticating the domain to strengthen and protect your email reputation.

The Account menu also holds a suppression list and an exports tab. The suppression list contains the addresses permanently excluded from future emails because they unsubscribed, and addresses can be added to it automatically or by hand. The exports tab keeps track of every file you export so you can download it later.

Contacts, lists and attributes

MailerMojo creates a default contact list for you, which you can rename. From the Contacts menu you add contacts one at a time or import a list you already have, and when you add an address by hand you tick a box reading "Je confirme que j'ai l’autorisation" (I confirm that I have permission) before saving the contact. The list settings let you rename the list and create attributes suited to it, such as a first name for personalizing emails. You also choose a default sender and a default language for each list, and if you use specific redirect pages, their links can be added at the bottom of the list settings.

A usage view under your profile shows your account number, the number of subscribers in the account and the number of emails sent in the current month, which is the simplest way to keep an eye on volume.

Campaigns and templates

A campaign starts from Campaigns in the main menu. The guide's first example is a welcome email: you type "bienvenue" (welcome) in the search bar, choose one of the welcome templates already built for you, and customize it for your business. When you continue, the platform asks you to pick the list and which of its segments to send to, the sender, the subject line and the date and time. The guide recommends sending a test first and launching the campaign once everything looks right.

Automation

The same welcome email can run on its own. Under Automations, a predefined workflow called "Bienvenue aux nouveaux contacts" (welcome to new contacts) is ready to use. You select your contact list, open the email step of the workflow, edit the action to set details such as the sender and the subject, test the email and start the automation. From then on, everyone who joins the list receives the welcome email automatically, without you sending anything by hand.

Signup forms

Forms are how the list grows. Under Forms you name a new subscription form, choose the list it feeds and select a consent option; the guide recommends "Consentement avec confirmation" (consent with confirmation). You can then edit the form as you like and save it. There are two ways to publish it. An embedded form gives you HTML code to paste into an HTML block on a site such as WordPress, or to hand to your web developer for a page or a blog post. A linked form gives you a URL instead, which you can share wherever you promote the list. The guide's advice from there is to promote the form, grow the list and send emails that add value for your customers and subscribers over time.

Buying it

The guide's answer to how to buy MailerMojo is short: "MailerMojo est gratuit avec plusieurs de nos plans d'hébergement web!" (MailerMojo is free with several of our web hosting plans), and WHC asks you to contact its team to find out whether your plan qualifies. Without WHC hosting you can buy MailerMojo as a standalone service at what the guide calls a competitive price. It adds: "Vous pouvez même essayer la plateforme GRATUITEMENT pendant 30 jours" (you can even try the platform free for 30 days). The guide names no plan prices, so the standalone price comes from WHC directly. The guide closes by inviting readers to subscribe to the platform or try it free today.

The company around it

WHC sells Canadian web hosting, VPS, reseller hosting, dedicated servers, managed WordPress hosting, anycast DNS, domains, an AI website builder, business email, SSL certificates, SiteSafe protection and enterprise anti-spam. It groups MailerMojo with its online marketing tools, its affiliate program and its PLUS rewards. The help center runs in French (Canada) and English, with sections on email accounts, WordPress, cPanel, the site builder and migrations among others, and for questions about MailerMojo the guide suggests starting with the help center articles. Mailboxes are a separate matter: business email and enterprise anti-spam are sold as their own products, and the help center's Emails section covers setting up, managing and troubleshooting email accounts. A systems status page is listed under support.

Who it suits

MailerMojo fits small businesses, freelancers and site owners who host with WHC, especially those on a hosting plan that includes it at no charge, and who want to send a newsletter, collect signups through a form on a WordPress or other site and greet each new subscriber automatically. Teams can add colleagues as users, and French-speaking customers get a French help center. Anyone hosting elsewhere can try it free for the trial period before paying for the standalone service.

It is a lighter tool than platforms built around long multi-step journeys, since the guide documents a single welcome workflow, and a sender who wants a published price list before signing up will need to contact WHC.
