Inxmail

Tap a star to rate

Inxmail is an email marketing platform from Inxmail GmbH that covers newsletters, multi-step campaigns, automated trigger mails and transactional email in one system. Its German home page sums it up: "Mit Inxmail erstellst du ansprechende Newsletter, datengetriebene E-Mail-Kampagnen und automatisierte Trigger-Mails. Effizient, sicher und DSGVO-konform" (with Inxmail you create appealing newsletters, data-driven email campaigns and automated trigger mails; efficient, secure and GDPR compliant). The company says more than 2,000 companies trust its solutions ("Über 2.000 Unternehmen vertrauen auf die Lösungen von Inxmail"), and it builds industry packages for energy suppliers, media and publishers, banks and insurers, and retail and e-commerce. The site is available in German, English and French.

Building mailings

Mailing creation is described as intuitive, with drag-and-drop, AI-supported text suggestions ("KI-gestützten Textvorschlägen") and personalized templates. The platform menu says newsletters are designed "in Minuten" (in minutes) in a way that is modular, intuitive and AI-supported, and a separate section on AI in email marketing covers automating campaigns, content and workflows with AI. An interactive product tour lets you try the platform without signing up.

Personalization goes well beyond a first-name field. The publishing page says content can be compiled dynamically using conditional logic, variants and individual recommendations, for example from next-best-offer systems, based on profile data, interests, subscription status or click behavior. Segmentation and module logic mean, in the page's words, that "every reader receives exactly the content that is relevant to them."

For teams, a rights management system lets several people prepare, review or approve mailings within one client account.

Automation and trigger mails

Automation runs through visual workflows. The home page says you can automate complex email campaigns or trigger mails based on actions and recipient reactions, reaching your audience with relevant content at the ideal moment. The retail page lists the trigger mails it has in mind: shopping cart reminders, product reminders, "back in stock" notifications, browsing-based recommendations, loyalty campaigns with points or vouchers, welcome messages for new subscribers and reactivation of inactive customers. It also mentions personalized birthday vouchers, seasonal competitions and discount campaigns.

For publishers, the automation goes further. Articles can move from the CMS or editorial system into a mailing automatically, so news goes out in real time without extra editorial work. Ads can be placed in newsletters as independent content modules and shown dynamically by target group, behavior or campaign booking. Paywall reminders, renewals and upsells can be driven by subscription status from connected systems.

The other industry packages follow the same pattern. Energy suppliers can automate order confirmations, individual tariff offers, surveys and meter reading requests by email, run competitions, and reach customers during outages or emergencies. Banks and insurers can automate contract updates, product information, policies and consultation appointments, personalized for different customer groups. The company also publishes an email marketing benchmark for the German-speaking market, broken down by industry, audience, send time and list size.

Transactional email and SMTP relay

Transactional mail is a product area of its own: "Steuere Bestell-, System- und CRM-Mails zentral aus einer Plattform" (control order, system and CRM mails centrally from one platform). The retail page suggests using order confirmations, shipping and return information as touchpoints for cross-selling and upselling. For sending from your own systems, the Inxmail SMTP Mail-Relay puts your mail on the company's infrastructure.

Integrations and API

The home page says the modular platform connects to your existing stack through flexible interfaces, "von CRM und CMS bis Onlineshop" (from CRM and CMS to online shop). The retail FAQ names the shop and data systems: Shopware, Magento, OXID eSales, Spryker, econda and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, plus a powerful API for custom setups. It also lists integration platforms (Feed Dynamix, Marini, com|con BAF and Syncler) for complex data flows and real-time connections to PIM, ERP and CRM. The publishing FAQ lists the open interfaces as REST API, SFTP and SMTP.

Deliverability

The publishing FAQ says Inxmail is a co-founder of the Certified Senders Alliance (CSA) and meets its highest delivery requirements, with a clean sending infrastructure, authentication procedures (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) and reliable IP reputation. The home page adds deliverability monitoring, and the footer links to an Inxmail status page. On the retail page, the company says it secures a high delivery rate even with large lists and high sending frequencies, working together with its customers.

Data protection and hosting

The platform menu promises GDPR compliance and hosting in Germany ("DSGVO-Konformität und Hosting in Deutschland"). The publishing FAQ is more detailed: the servers are located exclusively in the EU, German data protection rules apply, Inxmail is ISO 27001 certified, and personal data is processed under the GDPR with a data processing agreement. The banking page speaks of "the highest data protection standards".

Customers and results

The case studies are concrete. BITMARCK uses Inxmail for electronic patient record communication to millions of insured people across more than 70 health insurance funds. Schwäbischer Verlag automated newsletters for 26 regions for its Schwäbische and Nordkurier titles. congstar has worked with Inxmail for ten years. Other case studies cover mey, the Eugen Ulmer publishing house, 77onlineshop, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, DEW21 and LANGGROUP. A Rheinische Post reviewer praises the CRM integration, fast and professional customer service, and pricing that is "fair and transparent."

Pricing, trial and support

The site has a pricing page and offers both a free trial ("Kostenlos testen") and a free demo. On implementation, the publishing FAQ says standard applications can be set up quickly, while individual integrations need more lead time depending on your systems. Services include personal support for strategy, design and support, onboarding, individual training and tutorials, an online help center, webinars and a newsletter. Sales can be reached at +49 761 296979-800 or sales@inxmail.de.

Who it suits

Inxmail fits mid-sized and large organizations that treat email as a core channel and need it connected to their shop, CMS or CRM: online retailers on Shopware, Magento or Salesforce Commerce Cloud, publishers sending news straight from the editorial system, energy suppliers sending tariff offers and meter reading requests, and banks and insurers that need GDPR processing, ISO 27001 and EU servers. A solo creator will find more than they need, but any team that wants newsletters, triggers and transactional mail from one German provider has a clear option here.
