Get a Newsletter

Get a Newsletter is a Swedish newsletter platform for small businesses, shops and organizations that want to send newsletters and campaigns to their own customer lists, and it adds SMS, landing pages, surveys and signup forms in the same account. Its home page promise is "Skicka nyhetsbrev som levererar resultat" (send newsletters that deliver results): quick, good-looking newsletters and profitable campaigns that help a business reach its customers and grow. It calls itself a Swedish tool ("Svenskt verktyg") and says more than 65,000 users work with it.

The pitch is aimed at business owners rather than technical marketers. The home page describes the customer journey in one line: forms collect new customers, newsletters and SMS remind them that the business exists, and surveys show what they want next, "Utan att du behöver vara tekniker" (without you needing to be technical). It also makes the owned-channel case: an email list is not affected by algorithms or rising ad prices, and the sender decides when and who sees the message.

What a sender gets

Newsletters are built from templates; the site has template galleries for newsletters, landing pages, surveys and popups. Reporting is presented as a reason to use email at all: since "varje klick, öppning och köp kan mätas" (every click, open and purchase can be measured), campaigns can be optimized continuously.

Automation starts with signups. "När någon anmäler sig kan en mailserie starta automatiskt. Presentera dig, visa vad du erbjuder och ge ett erbjudande" (when someone signs up, an email series can start automatically: introduce yourself, show what you offer and make an offer). The forms page repeats the idea for selling: the email most people open is the one sent right after signup, so a series that introduces the business and gives a reason to buy is set up once and then runs around the clock.

Subscription forms are unlimited: "Skapa så många du behöver. Utan några begränsningar" (create as many as you need, without any limits), for example one for the newsletter, one for a course and one for a campaign. The company says a form can be live in under ten minutes. The sender picks which list new subscribers join and shares the link on social media, a website or an email signature; contacts arrive in the list directly, with no manual import, and the stats show visits, signups and which channel drives the most registrations. A WordPress plugin embeds forms straight into a WordPress site.

Popup forms are the second capture tool. They are responsive, can be built from scratch or from pre-designed templates, and can be restyled in colors, fonts, text and images "utan att koda" (without coding). The sender chooses when, where and how each popup appears, can save designs to a personal template library, and gets statistics per popup on page views, signups and conversion rate.

Landing pages let a business "Väx e-postlistan utan en hemsida" (grow the list without a website): a standalone page with its own link to share anywhere. Surveys ask customers what they think, so decisions are based on answers from the people who buy.

SMS

SMS runs from the same account, with "Samma kontaktlista. Samma avsändare" (the same contact list, the same sender). Campaigns are created, edited and launched from one page, each SMS campaign gets a report, the sender name can be customized to the brand, and a view summarizes campaign costs in real time while the campaign is being built. The FAQ says email and SMS campaigns can be segmented in one place. The company cites an average SMS open rate of 98%.

SMS coverage is limited to four countries: "Get a Newsletter SMS är för närvarande tillgängligt i Sverige, Norge, Danmark och Finland" (currently available in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland), with more countries added over time and requests welcome. SMS prices depend on the recipient's country and are shown inside the account.

Integrations and API

The integrations page says Get a Newsletter syncs "ditt kundregister, e-butik, CMS och mycket annat" (your customer register, online store, CMS and more). WordPress brings in subscribers, and contacts can be imported from Wikinggruppen, Quickbutik, Starweb, Fortnox, CubSupport, Nortic and via Zapier. An API replaces manual imports and exports so data stays in sync automatically, and the page links to the API documentation.

Pricing

Getting started costs nothing. The home page offers "Prova utan kostnad" with "Avsluta när du vill" (cancel whenever you want) and "Inget kort krävs" (no card required), a 5-minute demo video, and a free account to explore newsletters, landing pages and surveys. The pricing pages carry the line "Kom igång kostnadsfritt – uppgradera när ditt företag växer" (start free, upgrade when your business grows), and the plans themselves sit on the separate pricing page ("Priser"). One quoted customer, the organization Ung Cancer, says the tool lets it send to a large subscriber base "för ett rimligt pris" (at a reasonable price).

Data and privacy

Data location is stated plainly. "Dina personuppgifter stannar i Sverige" (your personal data stays in Sweden), the home page says, stored "på egna servrar som finns i Sverige" (on the company's own servers in Sweden), and the popup page specifies "All data lagras på våra egna servrar i Stockholm, Sverige." The company adds that it is Swedish and keeps itself up to date on GDPR and other Swedish law, and the popup page calls the tool "GDPR-kompatibelt" (GDPR compatible). The SMS FAQ notes that SMS marketing, like email, is permission based.

Support

Support is a selling point: "Måndag till fredag får du svar på dina frågor oftast inom en timme" (Monday to Friday you usually get an answer within an hour), and the people who answer usually have at least ten years of experience with newsletters and Get a Newsletter. Resources include a blog, guides and e-books, and customer cases. The company also runs affiliate and partner programs.

Two customers are quoted on the home page: Pernilla at Hammarströmsfisk, a user since 2010, says sales rose sharply and doubled in some weeks after newsletters went out, and Ingrid at Ung Cancer, a user since 2014, praises the price for a large list.

Who it suits

Get a Newsletter fits a Swedish or Nordic small business, shop or nonprofit that wants newsletters, signup forms, popups, landing pages and surveys without technical work, with data kept in Stockholm and support that answers in Swedish within the hour on weekdays. Shops on Quickbutik, Wikinggruppen or Starweb and businesses using Fortnox can import their contacts directly, and the SMS channel works for recipients in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The site itself is written in Swedish.

It suits less well a sender who needs SMS outside those four countries, or a team that wants to work in a language other than Swedish.
