What Emercury is

Emercury is an email marketing platform for businesses that live on lead flow: lead generators, affiliate marketers, agencies, financial services, insurance providers and blockchain companies all have their own solution pages. Its homepage promises to "Turn More Email Leads Into Customers" and says the platform is "Trusted by 10,000+ Marketers and Businesses." Alongside campaigns and automation it sells a developer-friendly SMTP relay for transactional mail, and a managed services arm that offers email audits, automation setup, campaign management and design and coding. It is explicitly a business tool: "For registration we require a business email address. We are b2b platform." Someone registering with a free mailbox address can still sign up but cannot send until they verify ownership of their website.

What a sender gets

Broadcasts and the editor. Broadcast messages are built in an "Easy to use HTML editor or Drag and Drop Template Editor," and the plan cards list a Dynamic Template Editor, a Dynamic HTML Editor and an Image Manager. Messages can be personalized, and audiences segmented "based on engagement metrics so you are communicating with your most active subscribers."

Automation. The Journey Builder handles multi-step automations: "Start your campaign by a specific lead behavior. This will allow you to build a highly customizable response for almost any situation in your marketing." An autoresponder is a separate feature, and every plan includes multistep email automation.

Lists and data. Contacts can be imported as .txt, .csv or .xls files through an import wizard, or brought in live through the API, the app integrations, or Zapier and Integromat. Suppression lists can be uploaded, with MD5 encryption if needed, and applied per campaign or per automation message. Subscriber tagging, advanced segmenting and domain group segmenting are standard. Inactive contacts can be purged as long as they have not been mailed in the last 30 days.

Forms. A form generator lets you place Emercury signup boxes on your site, and the FAQ says this list-building tool is available "even in the free trial." Third-party forms connect too: "We are integrated with many wordpress plugins and most landing page builders."

Reporting. The FAQ lists what you see for each contact: opens, clicks, unsubscribes, forwards and complaints, broken down by date and time, browser, mobile or desktop device and IP address. "All reporting is in real time," "All reports are exportable via csv and html," and hard bounces and complaints are marked and never mailed again. Google Analytics can be connected from each campaign, and higher plans add GEO and device reporting and ECPM reporting.

Integrations. The homepage says you can "Sync your data to and from over 2,000+ sales and marketing tools," and the Grow plan lists "200+ App Integrations." The apps directory names Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento 1 and 2, WordPress, WP Fusion, Elementor, Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, Unbounce, ClickFunnels, Salesforce CRM, Zoho CRM, SugarCRM, Pipedrive, Insightly CRM, Intercom, Stripe, Calendly, Facebook Lead Ads, Xverify, Emailonacid and Mailtester, among others. Developers get API documentation in XML and JSON and incoming webhooks.

SMTP relay. The relay is "designed for developers who need a reliable, easy-to-integrate solution," with code samples in "PHP, Python, Curl, JSON, Ruby, C#, or Java," multi-domain support from one account, and delivery analytics. A customer testimonial from a mid-market software company describes using it for account notifications, password resets and confirmations.

Plans and prices

The pricing page calculator prices plans by subscribers and monthly sends (it opens at 25,000 of each) and shows three paid tiers, all "Paid Monthly (USD)":

  • Grow, starting at $275 a month: up to 49,999 contacts and up to 500,000 sends a month, 50,000 email validations, delivery alerts, A/B testing, site and event tracking, up to 5 users, ticket and chat support, 200+ app integrations, core API features, removal of the Emercury logo and 6 months of reporting retention.
  • Pro, starting at $825 a month: up to 149,999 contacts and up to 1,500,000 sends a month, everything in Grow plus onboarding consultation, live account setup, a customer success manager, a delivery analyst, a dedicated IP with failover IPs, monthly one-on-one training, phone and Skype chat support, up to 10 users, unlimited reporting retention, 5 hours of API integration work and 150,000 email validations.
  • Scale, starting at $1,400 a month: unlimited contacts and up to 2,000,000 sends a month, everything in Pro plus prioritized sending and support, a dedicated delivery analyst, 2 email audits a month, 200,000 email validations, an uptime SLA, unlimited users and up to 20 brand profiles.

Each tier also has a "Custom Pricing" contact option. Behind the scenes there are two billing models: subscriber-based plans, and CPM plans "based on the amounts of messages sent on a monthly basis" with "NO limit on contacts/subscribers in your account," meant for high daily lead volume. "All our plans are Month-Month," with no commitments. The pricing page offers 10% off plans prepaid for a year and a 15% discount for non-profits and charities; the FAQ describes prepay discounts of 10% for 6 months and 15% for 12 months, and larger non-profit discounts with 501(c)(3) documentation. Payment is by check or American Express, Visa, Mastercard or Discover.

For those not ready to pay: "Signup for a Free account and explore the core Emercury features. No credit card, no setup, no hassle," and the feature menu lists a "Forever Free" option.

Deliverability, security and compliance

Deliverability is the company's main selling point ("Never Worry About Deliverability Again"). The FAQ says it offers "shared, dedicated and hybrid environments," with hybrid letting mail overflow into shared IPs while a dedicated IP ramps up, and delivery specialists build customized warm-ups. Pro and Scale customers get a dedicated delivery analyst and a monthly list hygiene allowance; Starter and Grow customers get delivery help through chat. The FAQ also says the platform includes "a CAN-SPAM compliance package that automates many of the requirements mandated by law," and a DKIM/SPF checker sits in the settings.

The security page says every account gets its own database, server root logins are removed and replaced by an encrypted login changed every 30 days, passwords cannot be viewed by staff, login pages are 128-bit secure, data is mirrored and backed up off site, and the platform runs in two separate data centers with redundant power, cooling and networks on its own proprietary MTA. The footer links to GDPR, European Data Transfers and CCPA pages and a bug bounty program.

Who it suits

Emercury fits businesses whose email is tied to lead generation and volume: affiliate marketers, lead generators, insurance and financial firms, and agencies, which can manage several accounts from one login with a drop-down switcher. The deliverability team, dedicated IPs and CPM billing suit high-volume senders, and the SMTP relay covers the application side. A small newsletter writer without a business domain is not the audience, and the paid tiers start at a level aimed at established senders.
