What Emaileri is

Emaileri is a newsletter program and email marketing service run from an office in Turku, built for marketing and communications teams that write to their customers in Finnish. The homepage headline sums up its pitch as newsletters that get opened and clicked, plus a team that helps you succeed. A banner above it reads "Suomalainen uutiskirjepalvelu · vuodesta 2004 · 400+ asiakasta", a Finnish newsletter service since 2004 with more than 400 customers, and the "Why Emaileri" list adds more than 20 years of experience in the country's email marketing.

The company frames itself as more than software. The homepage section is titled "Ei pelkkä uutiskirjeohjelma" (not just a newsletter program), and most of what it lists is service: account setup done for you, a custom branded template, personal training, and Finnish-language product support. The software underneath covers the newsletter editor, contact management, automations, reporting and analytics.

What a sender gets

The editor. Emails are built in a drag-and-drop editor. The homepage says "Kirjeet luodaan käyttäjäystävällisellä editorilla valmiiden elementtien avulla" (letters are created in a user-friendly editor using ready-made elements), and that editing and sending newsletters requires no special technical skill. Ease of use is the core of the product in the company's own words, and several of the customer quotes on the homepage return to the same point: a Finnkino marketer describes it as a handy tool where the pieces are quick to put together and the end result is a good-looking newsletter.

Branded templates. Instead of leaving a new customer to adapt a stock design, Emaileri offers "Yksilöllinen kirjepohja", an individual template tailored to your brand. The company says it produces the template completely ready for you, so you save time and avoid paying an advertising agency for the work. For a small marketing team this means the first newsletter can go out in the house style without a designer on staff.

Contact management. The homepage describes a versatile customer management module ("monipuolinen asiakashallinta") that can, where needed, be connected to an organization's own back-end systems. Flexible contact management and comprehensive sending statistics, the site says, make it easy to target messages and improve them over time. The company's guide to email marketing, published on its own site, recommends dividing a list by interest, purchase history or stage in the customer lifecycle, and describes Emaileri as providing the contact management to handle recipients.

Automations. The same guide explains how Emaileri treats automation: pre-built message chains that go out automatically based on what a recipient does, such as a welcome message after someone joins a list, a reminder about an abandoned purchase or a reactivation message for a customer who has gone quiet. "Automaatiolla viestit lähtevät oikeaan aikaan ilman käsityötä" (with automation, messages go out at the right time without manual work). The company refers to a chain of scheduled messages as a drip campaign and has a dedicated marketing automation page covering triggers, ready-made automation templates and rollout. It also gives one concrete example from its own work: for one client it built a pregnancy-related automation flow whose content spans almost a year and a half, which a consumer can join at any stage of the pregnancy.

Reporting. Every message Emaileri sends is individual, which the homepage says is what makes per-recipient statistics possible. Under "Tilastointi ja jatkokehitys" (statistics and further development) the company promises real-time analytics that show what works and what does not, and lists its analytics tools as "kiinnostusraportit, heatmapit ja laajennetut tilastot": interest reports, heatmaps and extended statistics. A customer quote from Lyyti says the comprehensive statistics produce precise leads for sales, and the Finnkino quote calls the reports clear.

SMS, forms and integrations. Under "Muut räätälöinnit" (other customizations) the company says it will also build what else your business needs, naming the rollout of text messages, subscription forms, automations and integrations. The footer links to separate pages for marketing automation and integrations. So text messaging and signup forms are part of what Emaileri sets up, delivered as a configured service rather than as self-serve modules described in detail on the homepage.

Data, compliance and pricing model

Emaileri puts data residency near the top of its pitch. The hero text says "Data pysyy Suomessa, asiakaspalvelu vastaa suomeksi" (the data stays in the country and customer service answers in Finnish), and the "Why Emaileri" list states "Kaikki palvelimemme sijaitsevat Suomessa", that all of the company's servers are located in the country. The same list describes Emaileri as "GDPR-yhteensopiva ja tietoturvallinen alusta", a GDPR-compatible and secure platform. Customer quotes lean on this too: the goSaimaa quote says domestic ownership and data protection are central to everything the organization does, and a customer from Ortomat Herpola writes "Emaileri on ollut sähköpostimarkkinoinnissamme tärkeänä kumppanina jo 12 vuotta" (Emaileri has been an important partner in our email marketing for 12 years), citing reliability and security from both a service and a data protection point of view.

The company's guide also covers the law around email marketing in the country it serves: consent from consumers in advance, business recipients allowed unless they have opted out, and an easy unsubscribe in every message, with a note that the guide is general background rather than legal advice. That is useful for a customer who needs to get consent handling right.

On price, the homepage promises "Maksat vain siitä, mitä käytät ja tarvitset" (you pay only for what you use and need) and links to a pricing page, while the main calls to action are "Selvitä hinta" (find out the price), "Pyydä tarjous" (request a quote) and a free demo ("Varaa maksuton esittely"). The guide's FAQ says the cost of email marketing is usually set by the number of contacts or sends. The homepage adds "Ei sitoumuksia", no commitments, next to the demo booking. There is no mention of a free plan or a free trial.

Support and onboarding

Support is where Emaileri spends most of its homepage. "Tilin avaus" (account opening) means the team does the setup work on your behalf so you can start quickly. "Henkilökohtainen koulutus", personal training from an experienced specialist, is part of the rollout. "Suomenkielinen tuotetuki" promises Finnish-language product support from specialists who are quick to reach, with the line that you will not be left alone or stuck in long ticket queues. Articles and how-to videos in the knowledge base cover the rest.

The homepage shows a 4.7 out of 5 customer rating for product support and says the company replies within one working day. A named contact for new customers answers on weekdays 8 to 16 at 040 354 2003; existing customers call 020 780 9220, and general email goes to asiakaspalvelu@emaileri.fi. Customer quotes from Lantmännen Agro and Peili Consulting both single out patient, quick help.

Who it suits

Emaileri fits an organization that communicates in Finnish and wants a supplier that sets things up for it: a municipality or regional company, a retailer, a membership organization, or a B2B firm sending a regular newsletter. The combination of servers kept in the country, a GDPR statement, a custom template, and training included in the rollout suits teams that care about data location and would rather have a person to call than a help center. The customer list on the homepage, from a cinema chain to an agricultural supplier and an event software company, shows it serves mid-sized brands as well as small firms.

It suits less well a team that wants to sign up, pick a published plan and start sending on its own the same afternoon: prices come through a quote or demo, and setup is designed around the company's own onboarding. Everything on the site is in Finnish, so a team working in other languages would find the service built for a different audience. Developers looking for a documented sending API will not find one described on the homepage.
