Tap a star to rate

DailyStory is an email and SMS marketing automation platform from DailyStory, LLC, pitched as "Email and SMS marketing automation, personalized for every customer journey." It sends email campaigns and newsletters, text message campaigns and alerts, drip campaigns and automated workflows, plus web and app push notifications, all from one account. The site builds solutions around specific kinds of business: retail and ecommerce, franchises and multi-location brands, gyms and fitness studios, pickleball venues, nonprofits, associations, digital agencies, and businesses in restricted industries such as pet brands selling hemp-derived or CBD products.

What a sender gets

The product menu groups the platform into four parts: Reach, Capture, Orchestrate and Amplify.

Reach covers the sending channels. Email marketing includes campaigns, templates and automation, built in a drag-and-drop email designer with pre-built email templates. SMS marketing handles text message campaigns and alerts, and the feature list adds text message deliverability scoring. App push notifications reach users on mobile, web push notifications reach browser visitors, and landing pages support campaigns. Email notifications and a file manager for campaign assets round out the sending side.

Capture is about growing the list. Web forms are embeddable for lead capture, website popups capture leads on your own site, and surveys and polls collect user feedback. The newest tool, Magic Forms, is described as an AI-powered form builder, "Built in 30 seconds." Rather than building a new form, it connects to forms that already exist on your website, "contact pages, checkout forms, newsletter sign-ups, any form anywhere", so their submissions flow into DailyStory. A website beacon tracks visitor behavior on your site.

Orchestrate is the automation layer. Automation covers workflows and drip campaigns, audience segmentation targets the right contacts, and behavioral intelligence provides tracking and analytics. The blog adds that segmentation can use location, behavior and preferences, and that automated email workflows nurture leads and engage customers at the right moments. Pre-built automations give a starting point, and experiments and multivariate testing let you compare versions of a message.

Amplify covers extras that feed campaigns: a URL shortener for branded short links, dynamic scannable QR codes, and a loyalty and rewards program with points, tiers and rewards.

Reporting includes reports and analytics plus ROI and conversion tracking. Contacts can be imported and exported.

Unlimited by design

The feature list leads with what is unlimited: unlimited campaigns, unlimited segments, unlimited automations and unlimited logins. The Stripe page puts it as "Get unlimited automations , unlimited segments , email , and SMS", so a team can build as many journeys and audiences as it needs, and every user on the team can have a login. The company also lists weekly upgrades to the platform.

Integrations and API

DailyStory groups its named integrations by goal. For sales it lists Shopify, WooCommerce and Konnektive; for loyalty, Mindbody, WordPress and Canva; for growth, Salesforce and Stripe. There is a WordPress plugin, a Zapier integration, native integrations, a developer API with API reference and developer docs, and a custom integrations service for enterprise API and data connections.

The Stripe integration page shows how deep a native integration goes. It connects Stripe payment and subscription data directly to your automation, so every charge, refund, subscription change and payment failure can trigger the right email or SMS. Automations can fire on successful charges, subscription starts, renewals, cancellations and failed payment retries, and journeys can run across the whole subscription lifecycle, from trial welcome to renewal reminders and cancellation win-backs. Dynamic segments can use MRR, plan type, trial status and payment history. The page stresses that the connection is "Read-only": DailyStory reads from Stripe but never writes back. It uses a direct API connection with "No third-party connectors, no webhooks to configure manually, no additional cost," and you connect your Stripe account in minutes via secure OAuth, with no development work.

Local and subscription use cases

DailyStory's own blog shows how it expects local businesses to use the platform. It recommends building segmented lists by location, interests and purchase history, tying campaigns to local events, holidays and community activities, putting the city or neighborhood in the subject line, and ending with a call to action that brings people into the store or to an event. For measurement it points to open rate, click-through rate and conversion rate, plus local results such as foot traffic, event attendance and in-store sales. In the platform, those map onto segmentation, templates with personalized content, automated workflows and the analytics and reporting tools.

For subscription businesses, the Stripe page lists four jobs the integration is meant to do from live billing data: onboard new customers, manage subscription lifecycles, recover failed payments and retain subscribers. Because segments are dynamic, a customer who changes plan or misses a payment moves into the right audience without anyone updating a list by hand.

Plans, trial and support

The site offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, a one-to-one personalized demo, and a Startup Program with special pricing for early-stage companies. The pricing page is linked from every page with the promise of "tiers, features, and transparent scaling options." Sales can be contacted with specific questions.

Help comes through a contact form, FAQs, a quick start guide, user documentation, developer documentation, guides, tutorials, webinars and a marketing glossary. Legal documents include a service agreement, terms of service and a privacy policy. The company also makes HelpGuides.io, which it lists as another of its products.

Who it suits

DailyStory fits small and mid-sized marketing teams that want email and SMS in the same automated journeys without paying per automation or per segment. Its industry pages make the fit concrete. Retail and ecommerce stores on Shopify, WooCommerce or Konnektive can drive sales and repeat purchases. Gyms and studios on Mindbody can work on member engagement and retention. Subscription businesses billing through Stripe get the most complete example of a native integration, with payment-triggered messages and billing-based segments. Franchises and associations get multi-location marketing, nonprofits get donor outreach and fundraising, and digital agencies get white-label marketing for their clients. Businesses in restricted industries, such as pet brands selling CBD products, have their own SMS marketing page.

Teams that want to see a price before starting a trial will need to open the pricing page or talk to sales, and teams whose main need is a simple newsletter tool may not use much of the automation, push and loyalty layers the platform is built around.
