Campaignmaster is an email marketing platform run by Campaign Master (UK) Ltd, whose contact address is Congress House, 14 Lyon Road, in Harrow, Middlesex. It sends marketing campaigns and newsletters to lists a business owns, and it sits inside a wider product line that also covers CRM, email marketing automation, SMS, surveys, websites, web tracking and an online library. The company calls itself "Your Easy Solution to Email Marketing", and its product menu is aimed at organizations that want the software and a team to help run it: alongside the platform it sells account management, consultancy and outsourcing, deliverability support, design, digital training, and GDPR and security guidance.
The clearest statement of what the platform does comes from the company's own blog, in a post explaining why businesses should stop sending marketing email from Outlook. Read the other way round, that post is a list of what a Campaignmaster account gives a sender that a desktop mail client does not, and most of this entry follows it.
Building and sending a campaign
Campaignmaster lets a sender reach both internal and external audiences from the same platform, so the tool can carry a staff bulletin as well as a customer newsletter. Personalization is described as unlimited: a sender can insert the recipient's name, and the blog stresses this goes further than a "Hello [first name]" line. Any element of the email can change per recipient, from the sending details to the body content, and the imagery can switch depending on a recipient's preferences. That makes one template serve several audience segments without building separate versions by hand.
Files are handled differently from a normal mail client. Instead of attaching a document, the sender uploads files in various formats to Campaignmaster and links to them from the email, which keeps the message small and less likely to be stopped by a content filter that caps email weight. The platform then tracks who actually opened the linked file, which a plain attachment cannot show.
Campaigns can be scheduled for a specific date and time, so a send goes out on time whether or not anyone is at a desk. Out of office replies, which pile up after any large send, can be redirected to an inbox of the sender's choice rather than flooding the marketing team's own mailbox.
Before a send, Campaignmaster's spam analysis tools score the message and give feedback on any spam points it has picked up, so the copy can be fixed before it lands in a junk folder. Rendering tools let the sender preview the email across various devices and screen sizes. The company quotes reports that around 68% of all emails opened in the UK are opened on a mobile device, which is the reason it gives for testing mobile layouts before every send.
Deliverability, IPs and authentication
Dedicated sending IPs are the feature the company puts first. The blog says Campaignmaster provides dedicated sending IPs "which separate your marketing messages from your website and internal emails", and that a sending domain with a dedicated IP comes "automatically with Campaignmaster". The point is operational: marketing email runs on its own address, so complaints about a campaign do not touch the reputation of the company's day to day mail or its website, and the IT department is not asked to manage bandwidth, complaints or blacklisting for the marketing team.
Blacklist monitoring is part of that service. The company notes there are over 300 publicly available blacklists and says it closely monitors each client's sending domain and dedicated IP address. It recommends a dedicated sub-domain used only for email marketing, so a listing against that sub-domain does not affect the top-level website domain.
The platform supports the authentication records a sender needs: an SPF record, which tells the receiving server the mail really comes from the stated sender, plus DKIM and DMARC. Bounces are classified as hard or soft, and Campaignmaster reports the reason for each non-delivery rather than just the failure. Opt-outs are processed instantly, so an unsubscribed contact is not mailed again and the list stays complaint-free.
Volume, reporting and the API
The blog is direct about volume: "With Campaignmaster, there is no limit on the number of emails you can send per day or per recipient." It adds that the company does not charge based on the number of recipients or the data held in an account, so a sender can mail as often as needed without watching a contact count. For an organization with a large list and frequent sends, cost is not tied to how many contacts it keeps.
Reporting is described as detailed tracking that shows within seconds how an email is doing: who opened it and which links each recipient clicked. The company positions those statistics as the input for targeting later campaigns.
For developers, the resources menu lists the CM Email Marketing API, and the blog has an API category, so data and sends can be driven from other systems. The same resources section carries free helper tools for people building emails: a background image generator, a button generator, a color code converter and color identifier, a guide to CSS support across email clients, an email glossary and an email launch checklist.
Integrations, other channels and services
Named integrations are Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Workbooks and WordPress, with a further "Other Integrations" page. The CRM connections suit teams that keep customer records in Dynamics 365, Salesforce or Workbooks and want campaign activity next to them, and the WordPress integration links the platform to a website. Web tracking is listed as its own product in the same suite.
SMS is sold as a separate product and has its own category on the company blog. Surveys and websites are also products in the same suite, so a sender can collect feedback and host pages without a second vendor.
The service list is long for a platform this size: account management, consultancy and outsourcing, email deliverability, design, a template library, user training, digital training, and GDPR and security measures. A team can hand over template design or ask the company to run campaigns rather than learn every part of the tool itself. The blog also runs a steady series of practical posts, recently on Gmail truncation, email accessibility, translation in email campaigns, the List Unsubscribe header, bot clicks, multi-factor authentication and email marketing for building societies.
Plans, pricing and contact
The site publishes no prices; the route in is a free demo booked through the site, plus a phone line on the contact page, and there is a sign-up and login for existing customers. The only commercial term stated is that charges do not depend on recipient numbers or stored data.
Who it suits
Campaignmaster suits an established organization that sends a lot of email, wants its marketing kept off the IPs its office mail and website use, and would rather have a supplier watch blacklists and authentication than do it in-house. A team on Dynamics 365, Salesforce or Workbooks has a ready connection, and so does a WordPress site. Organizations that want design, training or outsourced campaign work alongside the software fit the service model, and the company has written specifically about email marketing for building societies.
It is a weaker fit for a solo creator or a small shop that wants to see a price on the page and start sending the same afternoon. With no published plans, getting started runs through a demo and a conversation with the company.
