Campaign by Dolist

Campaign is the email and SMS platform of Dolist, which describes it as a "plateforme française de marketing relationnel" (a French customer relationship marketing platform). It lets an organization design and send every kind of message from one place: marketing campaigns, automated scenarios, transactional mail, notifications and alerts, over email and text message. The pitch combines three things: working with the customer's own data, automation that reaches into transactional sending, and what the company calls sovereignty, with data hosted in France and practices built around the GDPR (RGPD in French). Its customer references run from public bodies to private companies, and Campaign sits next to two sister products, Campaign DevKit and the Welkom Editor.
Data first
Much of the platform is organized around centralizing contact data. The product page says Campaign can automatically gather data from a company's other systems, naming CRM, ecommerce, mobile apps, ERP and marketing tools, and use every contact interaction to drive both marketing and transactional sends. Its FAQ calls the database "multi-dimensional": beyond the contact table, an account can hold up to 5 specific tables for purchases, purchase details, products, business entities and custom data. That is what lets a campaign target, say, customers who bought a given product line at a given store.
Synchronization runs through several methods listed in the FAQ: API, FTPS, webhooks, Zapier and file drops, all described as meeting a high security standard. The API is built as microservices, so an integrator can wire in only the functions a project needs, and the page counts more than 550 API methods. Dolist also offers a technical connectivity service to help set up data flows between a customer's systems and Campaign.
Building messages and landing pages
Emails are built in a drag-and-drop email builder, with premium templates on the higher plans, and the company stresses that no technical knowledge is needed. The same tool makes responsive landing pages and forms, and the page mentions designing them with an eye on more responsible practices, a theme Dolist returns to under the heading "Numérique Responsable". Dynamic content allows what the pricing table calls hyper-personalization, where blocks of a message change according to each contact's data.
Targeting runs through what Dolist calls its advanced data segmenter, which it says lets senders "exploiter l'ensemble des informations disponibles sur vos contacts sans limite" (use all the information available on contacts without limit). Campaign results are analyzed in the platform, and A/B testing is built in for optimizing them.
Consent and list quality
The FAQ answers the consent question directly. Senders can import existing consents with the date, place and purpose of each one, and collect new consents through forms; each consent stays on the account and is visible on the contact's record. The pricing table also lists "abonnements fins", fine-grained subscriptions that let contacts choose what they receive. The home page ties this to collecting contacts in a way that respects their consent and keeps practices compliant with the GDPR.
Automation and transactional sending
Automated email and SMS scenarios are designed in a visual tool that, the company says, guides users through marketing automation projects "même les plus complexes" (even the most complex ones). Alongside scenarios, the Trigger Email and SMS function sends individual personalized messages set off by a contact's behavior or by a data point, so a message can follow a purchase, a date or a change in a record.
Transactional messages are a stated focus. The page lists account opening, order confirmation, delivery notification, back-in-stock alerts, appointment confirmation, invoices and access recovery as examples, sent by email or SMS, and transactional sending runs through the API or SMTP. For developers the page also says campaigns can be built, sent and analyzed from a company's own tools through the API, with Dolist's teams available to help set it up.
Deliverability
Deliverability gets its own section and FAQ. Sends from Dolist's platforms follow the SPF, DKIM and DMARC authentication protocols, each explained on the page. Campaign detects HTML or wording errors that could hurt delivery and suggests fixes in real time. List hygiene covers hard bounces, syntax correction of email domain names and proper unsubscription of contacts who disengage. Dolist's OPERA technology monitors deliverability continuously and warns of incidents before they happen, and the deliverability team works with the customer on sender reputation over time. The company also sells deliverability consulting, an HTML studio, training and agency services.
Plans and prices
The pricing section presents three offers, each "à partir de" (from) a monthly price that varies with sending volume:
- Essentiel, from 159 euros a month: 100k email sends a month, up to 50,000 contacts, 2 users (1 admin and 1 user), the drag-and-drop builder, a landing page and form creator limited to 2 pages, and 10 custom fields. Dynamic content, fine subscriptions, the automation orchestrator, transactional email and SMS through API or SMTP, advanced data tables, the REST API with webhooks and automated file transfer are all options.
- Pro, marked "la plus populaire" (the most popular), from 359 euros a month: unlimited email sends, up to 300,000 contacts, 4 users (1 admin and 3 users), the builder with premium templates, dynamic content, up to 10 landing pages and forms, unlimited custom fields, fine subscriptions, the automation orchestrator and the REST API with webhooks. Transactional sending, advanced data tables and file transfer remain options.
- Entreprise, from 784 euros a month: unlimited email sends, unlimited contacts, 8 users (1 admin and 7 users), and everything above included, with unlimited landing pages and forms.
The site invites visitors to try its platforms free of charge and to book a personalized demo, which the company frames as talking to "de vraies personnes" (real people) on a day of the visitor's choosing.
Security, hosting and figures
Under the heading "Souveraineté et conformité RGPD", the page promises hosting of customer data in France. The FAQ adds detail: the SQL servers holding customer data are physical machines connected only to the internal network and not reachable from outside, the sending and web servers sit behind firewalls, and data insertion is controlled by scripts developed in-house. The data center is described as equivalent to a TIER III+ classification, with intrusion and fire protection, access limited to authorized staff, and continuity of cooling and power; the network is redundant across 2 telecom operators and protected by redundant firewalls and anti-DDoS protection.
The company publishes its own figures for Campaign: 26 years of experience, 2900 users, a 99.98% availability rate, more than 99% of messages delivered and a latency under 3 seconds. It says more than 500 public and private organizations across all sectors use the platform, and names customer cases including France Ciment, the DILA, La Chaîne de l'Espoir, Danisports, GrandPalais RMN and La Méridionale.
Resources include 2026 guides to email marketing, marketing automation and email deliverability, white papers, survey reports, conference materials and a monthly newsletter.
Who it suits
Campaign fits French and French-speaking organizations that want marketing and transactional email and SMS on one platform, with their data hosted in France: retailers and ecommerce companies with purchase and product data to exploit, public bodies and nonprofits with consent obligations, and data-driven marketing teams that want to connect a CRM or ERP through API, FTPS or Zapier. The pricing starts above that of simple newsletter tools, and several features that matter for automation are options on the entry plan, so smaller teams should look at what Essentiel includes before choosing it. The interface and site are in French.
