What EmberPoint is
EmberPoint Co., Ltd. (エンバーポイント株式会社) sells a family of messaging systems built around Mail Publisher, its email delivery and marketing automation product line. Beside email it offers SMS, app development, form building and printed direct mail, and it pitches itself as a vendor that stays with the customer after the sale. The homepage calls the company a "マルチチャネル・プラットフォーマー" (multichannel platform provider) with "20年以上の歴史" (more than 20 years of history), offering everything from high-quality systems for each channel to cross-channel sending built around marketing automation.
The site is in Japanese and its customer stories come from Japanese retailers and service companies. It says "エンバーポイントは創業以来、5,000社を超えるお客様にご利用頂いています" (since its founding, more than 5,000 companies have used EmberPoint), and a heading claims "上場会社の約3割への 支援実績・信頼" (a track record of supporting roughly three in ten listed companies).
The Mail Publisher line
EmberPoint's sales pitch starts from a complaint about the market: operators, the homepage says, have picked tools for their number of features or because they were fashionable, then paid high fees for software they never learned to use. EmberPoint says it provides tools a team can actually master and then stays alongside the customer, from understanding the problem through implementation to analysis and day-to-day operation.
EmberPoint splits email into three products, each with its own job.
Mail Publisher Next is described as "メール施策のすべてをこれ一つで" (every email initiative in one tool). It is the line's all-in-one campaign product. The site lists a Mail Publisher HTML editor alongside it for building HTML emails.
Mail Publisher Smart Edition is "外部連携・大規模配信の高速基盤" (a high-speed base for external integration and large-scale sending). A column on EmberPoint's blog describes it as a file-based email delivery system that holds no member database of its own, which keeps it simple to operate, and says it was designed from the start around "システム連携" (system integration), so that it can be combined with other tools into a full email marketing setup. The same column credits it with a sending capacity of "4,100万通/時" (41 million emails per hour) and with fine-grained sending optimized for each recipient domain. The blog's product box calls it "業界最高水準のメール配信システム" (an email delivery system of the industry's highest standard), which is the company's own claim.
Mail Publisher Transaction is aimed at "重要通知の到達率を最大化" (maximizing delivery rates for important notifications). The blog describes it as a "高水準メールリレーサービス" (high-standard mail relay service) that delivers "遅延なく確実に" (reliably, without delay). It is the product for important notifications sent from a company's own systems.
On pricing, the column's product box for Mail Publisher lists both the initial fee and the monthly fee as "要お問い合わせ" (on inquiry), and notes that some features are paid options. Its ratings in the same box are the company's own: easy to connect to various external tools, and strong on high-volume sending and marketing functions.
Other channels
SMS Publisher sends "高開封率のSMSで重要通知を届ける" (important notifications by SMS with a high open rate). The featured case study shows it used beyond alerts: the food delivery service ISETAN DOOR, run by Mitsukoshi Isetan, turned SMS from a notification tool into "マーケティングの武器" (a marketing weapon) for reactivating dormant customers. A second SMS case, IDEX Auto Japan, unified the customer experience regardless of booking channel and reports that online check-in use rose by 2割強, a little more than a fifth.
Engage Cros, spelled that way on the site, is the multichannel product for "マルチチャネルでLTVを最大化" (maximizing lifetime value across channels). It is where the cross-channel sending built around marketing automation sits, choosing the right channel per customer.
App Publisher covers "アプリ制作からファン育成まで" (from app development to building a fan base). The Nishitetsu Store case says its official app grew monthly active users 15 times over within 9 months of a relaunch.
Form Factory runs "フォーム作成からメール配信まで" (from form creation to email sending), and the blog labels it a form, survey and email CRM system. A team can collect sign-ups or survey answers and email those contacts from the same tool.
DM Publisher sends printed direct mail with "差し込み文字" (merge fields), so paper mailings can be personalized like email.
Deliverability, security and support
EmberPoint makes delivery quality a main selling point. The homepage says "システムによって受信フォルダに入る到達率は大きく異なります" (the rate at which mail reaches the inbox differs greatly by system) and that no amount of effort on a message that does not arrive will produce results. The blog column says Mail Publisher regularly has external vendors run vulnerability assessments and has been adopted by financial institutions with strict security requirements and by large companies handling large volumes of personal data. The site footer links an information security policy, a quality management policy, a privacy policy, a policy on information delivery and a security evaluation policy.
The company sells semi-custom systems: a "カスタマイズ余地を持ったパッケージ型システム" (packaged system with room for customization), pitched at companies whose industry needs differ but who cannot pay for fully custom builds. Support comes from a dedicated support department that answers questions during use and provides onboarding at rollout, operational support and consulting fitted to the customer's problems. A support services line ("支援サービス") covers email marketing help including consulting and content production. Phone inquiries are taken on weekdays from 9:00 to 18:00.
Customers log in through a user portal, with separate entries for Mail Publisher and Form Factory and for Engage Cros, and the site publishes a service status page for each. There is a program for sales agencies and an FAQ. The resource library offers whitepapers such as an email KPI design sheet and a guide to preparing customer data before starting segmented sends, and the events list includes a webinar on sending speed and deliverability and an in-person EmberPoint Connect evening on commerce held with visumo. A blog column on email systems with API integration closes by recommending Mail Publisher to readers who care about smooth API connections, high-volume sending and better delivery rates.
Who it suits and who it does not
EmberPoint suits a large company that reads Japanese and sends at scale: a retailer or department store running newsletters and SMS to a big member base, a company whose own systems generate order and account mail that needs a relay, a financial firm with strict security reviews, or a brand that wants email, SMS, an app and direct mail from one vendor with consulting attached. Smart Edition's file-based, integration-first design suits a team that keeps its customer database in its own systems and wants the email platform to send, not to store members.
It is a poor fit for a small business or solo newsletter writer wanting self-serve signup and a visible price, since fees are quoted on inquiry. Teams that do not work in Japanese will find the site and its product pages in Japanese.
