Tap a star to rate
Nuntly is a developer-first email platform for sending, receiving and replying to transactional email through one API. Its homepage calls it "The fastest path from Code to Inbox," and everything on the site is aimed at development teams building SaaS products and applications: a REST API, typed SDKs, webhooks, inbound email turned into JSON, and tooling for AI agents that answer email. Data is hosted in the EU by default, and the company describes itself as a bootstrap company with predictable pricing. The site reports 27M+ emails delivered and 100+ developer teams as users, among them 24S, DiliTrust, MusicWork, Echo Analytics, Money Forward, Olyzon, Ogury, Wenvision and Ekino.
Sending email
The sending API handles single or bulk sends, scheduled or instant, with or without templates. The API reference lists nine email endpoints, including a single send, a bulk endpoint that sends up to 100 emails in one request, listing and retrieving sent emails with their delivery status, the full delivery event history of a message, aggregated daily sending statistics, a download of the HTML or MIME source, the status of a bulk batch, and canceling a scheduled email. The API specification says sends support HTML and plain-text email, attachments, labels, custom headers and scheduling.
Three features are pitched at production workloads. The API call returns at once with a confirmed email ID while delivery happens in the background, so the application never waits. Idempotent sends take an idempotencyKey, and if a server retries after a timeout Nuntly deduplicates the request automatically. Scheduled delivery takes a scheduledAt timestamp, with no cron jobs or external queues, and a scheduled email can be canceled or rescheduled before its delivery window.
Getting started takes three steps on the homepage: verify your sending domain by configuring DKIM, SPF and DMARC records, with Nuntly guiding you through each; get an API key from the dashboard and send with the SDK or the REST API; then track deliverability, opens, clicks and bounces from the dashboard or by webhook. The site claims it takes under a minute to send your first email.
Receiving email, threads and namespaces
Nuntly also receives mail. Inbound email arrives as structured JSON with the sender, subject, plain text, HTML and attachment URLs, so an application never has to parse MIME itself. Incoming messages are grouped into conversation threads automatically and stored in named inboxes, with the full history available over REST, and a Reply API sends answers linked to the original thread. The inbound pipeline shows DKIM, SPF and spam checks on arriving mail.
Namespaces isolate inboxes per tenant and map to your own internal IDs through an externalId, which the site presents as a fit for multi-tenant SaaS where each customer gets its own isolated email space. The API reference includes endpoint groups for messages, threads, inboxes, namespaces, domains, webhooks, API keys and organizations, 45 endpoints in all, so domains, keys, webhooks, analytics and team members can all be managed through REST.
AI agents
The site describes Nuntly as "AI agent ready, out of the box." An agent receives an inbound email as clean JSON with its thread context, and a message.agent.triggered webhook event can dispatch it. The agent memory API persists context at three scopes, global, per inbox or per thread, for summaries, extracted data or intermediate reasoning steps, and the agent then replies in the thread through the Reply API. The resources menu also lists an MCP server.
SDKs and webhooks
Nuntly offers type-safe TypeScript and Java SDKs. The TypeScript SDK is shown with rich types, autocompletion and inline docs, built-in authentication, automatic retries with exponential backoff, pagination, and structured error messages with detailed error codes. For developers who prefer not to use try and catch, it includes a safe client that returns data and error values instead of throwing.
Webhooks push delivery, open, click and bounce events to your endpoints in real time. They come with automatic retries and error handling, and endpoints, logs and event replay can be managed from the dashboard or through the API. Nuntly also describes what it calls deep-stack observability: a unified view of API logs, email flow, send latency, delivery events and webhooks.
Security, EU hosting and GDPR
The security section lists fully configured DKIM, SPF and DMARC on every domain, encryption of all data in transit and at rest, and API keys that are never stored in plaintext but held as encrypted tokens. Managed dedicated IPs give a sender control of its own reputation, and automatic suppression list management stops sends to unsubscribed or bounced addresses.
On data location, the homepage says all data is hosted in Europe by default, which it links to full GDPR compliance, and that enterprise plans can add isolated regions for specific regulatory requirements. A Nuntly alternatives page adds that the service runs on AWS eu-west architecture and keeps every layer, from sending to logs to analytics, inside the EU. The footer links a DPA, a sub-processor list, a GDPR page, an imprint and a data request form, and the compliance section says the platform is built to meet GDPR requirements and enterprise procurement needs.
Pricing and the free plan
There is a free plan: 3,000 free emails a month, no credit card required, with EU hosting included. Paid plans start at €10 a month for Starter and €68 a month for Scale, and the company says its pricing is published up to 1.5M emails a month. EU hosting and GDPR compliance come by default on all plans rather than as an add-on.
Support and community
The footer links a support page, a contact page, an FAQ and a blog, plus Twitter, GitHub, Discord and LinkedIn. The FAQ covers getting started, the free plan, supported programming languages, where data is stored, deliverability, real-time event tracking, migrating from another provider, receiving and replying to email, and AI agent workflows. The developer section offers a getting started guide, an API reference and SDK documentation.
Who it suits
Nuntly fits development teams that send email from code and want it hosted in the EU: SaaS products sending receipts and notifications, multi-tenant platforms that need a separate email space per customer, and teams building support bots or AI agents that must read and answer mail in context. The free plan covers a side project or an early product, and the €10 Starter plan is a low step up from there.
The platform is built for programmatic sending, and its pages speak to developers rather than to marketers planning newsletters or campaigns. Teams that want a campaign builder and list management will be looking at a different kind of tool.
