Mailjet

Tap a star to rate

Mailjet was started by Wilfried Durand and Julien Tartarin through the eFounders startup studio and grew into one of Europe's better-known email platforms before a run of acquisitions moved it from independent company to Mailgun's parent, and eventually to the Swedish communications company Sinch. The product still stands on its own: a transactional email API and SMTP relay for triggered mail, plus a marketing side with a visual editor that multiple team members can edit at the same time, live cursors and all, along with a form builder and basic segmentation.

Pricing is volume-based across tiers. Starter runs about $9 a month for 8,000 emails, Essential moves to unlimited contacts around $17 a month for 15,000 emails, and Premium adds automation and a dedicated IP near $27 a month. The free plan includes 6,000 emails a month but caps sending at 200 a day, and anything queued past that limit for more than three days gets deleted rather than delayed, worth knowing before you rely on it for anything time-sensitive. Mailjet fits a team that wants transactional and marketing email from one European-hosted vendor without paying for two separate products.
