Authkey is a cloud communication platform, run by Datagen Internet Services Pvt. Ltd., that sends messages over five channels from one account: email, SMS, voice calls, WhatsApp and RCS. It calls itself a CPaaS platform (communications platform as a service) with omnichannel APIs, and email sits in its transactional messaging line next to the SMS API, Voice Call API, WhatsApp Business API and RCS messaging. The home page describes the Email API as "Transactional and campaign email at scale", and an Email Campaign feature appears among the platform features. The copyright line runs from 2020 to 2026.

The platform is built for developers who need several channels at once, and for businesses that want automated customer conversations. The home page sums up the goal as managing every customer interaction from a single platform: sending campaigns, automating support, verifying users and holding personalized conversations across channels. The home page says it is trusted by 10000+ innovative companies, and its industry pages cover banking and finance, e-commerce, education, healthcare, logistics, real estate, retail and customer support.

Email and the other channels

Email goes out through the Authkey API. The Node.js email sample shows a GET request to api.authkey.io/request that passes the account's authkey, the recipient's email address and an mid value identifying the message. The site publishes equivalent samples in PHP, Python, Java, C#, cURL, PowerShell, Node.js, Go, JavaScript, Ruby and Swift, and Postman collections and API documentation cover SMS, voice, email, WhatsApp and a 2FA API. Webhooks report events back to the customer's application, and the home page promises that developers can "Go from signup to production in minutes."

The same request pattern serves every channel. The PHP example on the home page sends a WhatsApp OTP through the same api.authkey.io/request endpoint, passing the authkey, the recipient's mobile number, a country code, a wid value for the template and the OTP itself, so a developer who has wired up email already knows how SMS, voice and WhatsApp calls are built. The sample code library is organized by language, with separate snippets for SMS, email and voice in each.

The other channels share the same account. SMS is offered as an API and for bulk campaigns, and the home page claims "99.9% uptime" for it. Voice covers interactive voice response and smart routing. WhatsApp runs through the WhatsApp Business API with rich media messaging, a website widget, a chatbot, a team inbox, Click to WhatsApp ads and OTP delivery, and a banner offers a free WhatsApp Business account that includes onboarding, API access and a sandbox. RCS is pitched as native mobile messaging.

What ties the channels together is parallel sending and fallback. The footer says Authkey "has deployed SMS, Email & Voice on Single Platform" so that a message can go out on all three channels in parallel, or other channels can serve as a fallback. A latency report and an analytics module sit among the platform features.

Verification and OTP

Authentication is a large part of the offer. Authkey sends one-time passwords by SMS, voice, email and WhatsApp, supports two-factor authentication flows, and adds flash call verification and cash on delivery verification, the latter aimed at online orders paid on delivery. Because email OTP sits on the same account as the other channels, a login code can be sent by email and backed up on another channel through the fallback feature.

AI agents and the shared inbox

Authkey's newer layer is AI customer conversations, focused on WhatsApp. A business builds a knowledge base from uploaded documents (PDF only, up to 20MB per file and 2 files per session), website URLs or plain text, and can try how the AI answers customer questions before deploying it. The agent is trained on documents, website content, FAQs and business data, keeps learning as the knowledge base changes, and hands a conversation to a person with its full context when human expertise is needed. Conversations stay connected across WhatsApp, SMS, email and RCS, so a customer can switch channels without losing context.

Around the agents, Authkey offers AI chatbots, a no-code workflow builder, CRM integrations, lead qualification and customer journey automation, which the home page says can answer customer questions, qualify leads, assign conversations, trigger actions and connect with existing business tools. One shared inbox holds every conversation: chats are routed automatically, teammates collaborate on them, and customer history is tracked. Reporting covers real-time analytics, campaign performance and custom reports.

Scale and reach

The home page gives its capacity as 4M+ messages a day and 1Cr+ (more than 10 million) conversations a day, with delivery latency under 3 seconds, coverage of 190+ countries and an average onboarding time of 5 minutes. It frames this as enterprise-grade infrastructure designed for speed, reliability and intelligent delivery.

Integrations

The integrations menu lists Pabbly Connect, Integrately, Zapier, Kylas, Magento by Meetanshi and Shopify, and a WordPress plugin appears among the channels. CRM integrations are part of the automation suite, and REST APIs, SDKs and webhooks cover custom connections.

Plans, trial and support

The pricing menu has separate pages for SMS, voice, WhatsApp, email and RCS, but the home page and the email sample page show no rates. What the home page does state is a 14-day free trial with no credit card required and the option to cancel anytime, plus a free account to get started. Startups can join the Startup Business Program, which offers $2,500 in free credits, guided onboarding and developer support, and which the page says is trusted by 3,000+ growing startups. The menu also lists a partner program with a white label and reseller panel, and an affiliate program.

Support resources include a help center, FAQs, videos, case studies and a blog, along with demo booking and a WhatsApp chat widget on the site.

Who it suits

Authkey fits product teams that need email alongside OTP and notification traffic on SMS, voice and WhatsApp, and want one account for all of it: an e-commerce shop verifying cash-on-delivery orders, a fintech sending login codes with fallback between channels, or a support team putting an AI agent in front of WhatsApp. Startups can begin on the free trial and apply for the credit program, and agencies have a reseller panel to explore.

For a sender who only needs newsletters, email is one channel among five here, and the richer tooling sits on the verification and WhatsApp side.
