Zenoti

Tap a star to rate

Zenoti is an all-in-one platform for salons, spas, medspas, barbershops and fitness businesses, and email marketing is built into it rather than bolted on. The same system runs online booking, the point of sale, the CRM, payroll and inventory, so its email and SMS campaigns draw on visit history, services, birthdays and memberships that the business already records. The company says it is trusted by "30,000+ salon, spa, and medspa businesses across 50+ countries", and its platform, Zenoti OS, now carries a set of AI agents that it calls an AI Workforce. For a salon or spa owner, the pitch is that marketing runs from the same place as the appointment book, without exporting lists to a separate tool.

Email and SMS marketing in Zenoti

Zenoti's salon marketing page describes the toolkit as email, SMS, marketing automation, loyalty, gift cards and referrals running from one platform on the client data in the salon software. It lists what that looks like in practice: pre-built campaign templates that need no design skills, personalization tokens pulled from each client's profile, automated sends triggered by the CRM in real time, and a campaign performance dashboard showing open rates, click rates and bookings driven per campaign.

Because visit history, service preferences, birthdays, membership status and booking frequency are tracked automatically, the page says you do not build segments by hand or import lists; the system knows which clients are due to rebook, whose birthday is coming and who has not visited in 90 days. Email and SMS sit in the same platform, so a reminder can go by SMS and a win-back offer by email, depending on what each client responds to. Zeenie, Zenoti's AI assistant, suggests the next best campaign with ready-made content ideas.

The FAQ answers the automation question directly: Zenoti's salon marketing automation triggers win-back, birthday, rebooking and post-visit campaigns automatically based on client behavior, with no manual list-building, across email and SMS. It also says every salon marketer gets email, SMS and social campaign tools, audience segmentation and automated win-back journeys in one platform, and that the system can promote gift cards and memberships, fill quiet slots and measure revenue per campaign.

The campaigns Zenoti builds its guide around

Zenoti's email guide sets out eight campaigns and six automations a salon should run, and they map onto what the platform triggers. A welcome series of three emails goes to new subscribers. A rebooking reminder is triggered by days since the last appointment, with different windows by service. A birthday email goes out before the client's birthday. A win-back campaign fires when a client reaches 90 days without a visit. A post-appointment review request is triggered when an appointment is marked complete and links to the salon's Google and Facebook review pages, and the guide suggests sending it 24-48 hours after the visit. A membership expiration alert goes 14 days before a renewal date. Seasonal promotions, new service announcements and retail promotions to past product buyers round out the manual campaigns.

The guide also carries Zenoti's own research. According to Zenoti's 2024 Salon and Spa Consumer Survey, 89% of Gen Z clients are more likely to rebook when they receive personalized offers. It recommends two to four marketing emails a month, notes that automated triggered emails are separate from that count, and reminds salons to collect explicit marketing consent under CAN-SPAM, CASL or GDPR depending on the market.

For list building, the guide points to capture points in the normal flow of a salon: an email field and consent checkbox at online booking and check-in, loyalty program registration, and a subscribe prompt with the post-visit review request. Zenoti's blog guide adds that it offers user-friendly sign-up forms accessible across devices.

AI Workforce and retention

The home page describes the AI Workforce as a team that "answers every call, chases every lead, fills every empty slot, and delivers real revenue growth." Several agents touch client communication. AI Concierge sends personalized reminders, upsells, post-visit follow-ups and rebooking nudges. AI Lead Manager captures, qualifies and follows up leads from every channel, with AI lead scoring and pipeline analytics. AI Marketer handles automated campaigns, audience segmentation, revenue attribution and win-back flows, along with reputation. Other agents cover the phone (AI Receptionist), clinical notes (AI Scribe), chargebacks (AI Dispute Manager) and KPIs (AI Business Advisor).

The AI Retention Manager is the one closest to email. It predicts churn and triggers win-back campaigns automatically. The example on the home page shows a client at 82% retention risk, last seen 58 days ago, receiving a personalized email and SMS with 20% off, and Zenoti states an average churn reduction of 30% within the first 90 days.

Implementation, uptime and support

Zenoti's AI Transformation Team promises to take a business from zero to growth in 4 weeks flat. Week 1 sets up Zenoti OS and migrates data, and the company gives 48hrs as the average time to fully migrate guest profiles, memberships and history. Week 2 configures the AI agents, week 3 trains staff, with a stated 98% staff adoption rate within the first week of training, and week 4 tests and deploys, with a "99.9% Guaranteed uptime SLA from day one of your production deployment." After that, a dedicated success partner, available 24/7, keeps tuning the agents. Customers also get a Help Center, Zenoti University, a system status page and a Trust Center.

Pricing

Pricing has its own page in Zenoti's menu, and the site's route in is a personalized demo. Salon and medspa ROI calculators are available for owners weighing the switch.

Who it suits

Zenoti fits a salon, spa, medspa, barbershop or gym, from a single location to a chain or franchise, that wants its marketing email and SMS to run on the booking and sales data it already has. The automated rebooking, birthday, win-back and review campaigns suit a business without a marketing team, and the AI agents extend the same idea to calls and leads. Customers named on the site include European Wax Center, Gene Juarez, Birds Barbershop, FaceGym and Removery.

It is not an email tool for other kinds of business, and adopting its email means adopting Zenoti as the booking and point-of-sale system too.
