What SHANON MA is
SHANON MA is a marketing automation tool from Shanon Inc. (株式会社シャノン), a Japanese company, and it sends newsletters and behavior-triggered email to B2B prospects while tracking what they do after the click. Shanon calls it an "SFA一体型マーケティングオートメーション", marketing automation with sales force automation built in, and describes it as a tool for acquiring and approaching prospects from both the web and the real world to create sales opportunities. The homepage puts the idea in one line: web visits, email and trade shows are all tied to one person's history ("Webも、メールも、展示会も 1人の履歴につなぎ") and carried into the next sales meeting.
The homepage price banner reads "月額 6 万円〜 (税抜)", from 60,000 yen a month before tax, and the page title pitches it as a tool you can switch to from that price. Shanon says it is used by 3,000 companies across many industries, as of February 2026. The site is in Japanese, and the company publishes investor relations material alongside its product pages.
What a sender gets
Email with unlimited sends
The product banner on Shanon's blog lists three standard features: SFA and business card management built in, unlimited email sends ("メール配信数が無制限"), and no tag management, to keep operation simple. The blog repeats that sends are unlimited on every plan, so a team moving over from an email delivery tool does not need to cut its sending to stay under a cap. It says the familiar habit of sending freely does not change after migration: existing newsletters can continue while behavior data starts building in the background.
Per-person behavior history
The core of SHANON MA is its history-based design. Shanon's blog describes it as recording each person's web behavior in time order and keeping it without a time limit ("個人単位のWeb行動履歴を時系列で無期限に蓄積"). When someone clicks an email, the tool records which pages they viewed and for how many minutes. It can also detect anonymous visits, before a form is filled in, by identifying the visiting company from its IP address.
One database for web, events and cards
Business cards and trade show lists go into the same customer database as web and email data. The company's example of what that allows is a segment built from behavior, attributes and company information together: people met at a trade show who downloaded a document and visited the site this week. Its comparison table sets this against email-only tools, where filtering stops at reactions inside the email. The practical result, the blog says, is that follow-up targets narrow to the people who actually acted, instead of being chosen by a staff member's gut and manual work.
Scenarios, scoring, forms and handoff to sales
Shanon's article on the difference between email tools and marketing automation lists the functions it counts as marketing automation: unified lead management, web behavior tracking, scoring of interest, segments, scenarios that send email automatically when a behavior occurs, form and landing page creation, and SFA and CRM integration. Its examples of this kind of work are sending a related document the day after a download, and notifying sales only about people who viewed the pricing page 3 times.
SHANON SFA covers the sales side. The homepage describes it as an SFA with the deal, task and forecast management a first SFA needs, easy to set up and use, which links directly with the MA tool to remove the wall between marketing and sales.
AI content creation
The homepage says content can be made easily with AI ("AIでコンテンツが簡単につくれる"), and the blog's comparison table credits SHANON MA with AI that creates content automatically from a text instruction ("AIがテキスト指示から自動作成"). The homepage pitch for the product is aimed at companies re-choosing a marketing automation tool for the AI era.
Moving from an email tool
Much of Shanon's own material is written for teams leaving an email delivery tool. It says migration does not require rebuilding lists or pausing sends: importing the email tool's list and the business cards on hand makes existing assets the base of the customer database. Its FAQ advises exporting addresses and attributes by CSV, and moving opt-out and opt-in records with them, since sending to someone who unsubscribed risks breaking the law and losing trust.
The company is candid about setup. It says marketing automation needs design before operation, such as what counts as a hot lead and when leads pass to sales, and that agreeing these rules between marketing and sales commonly takes 1 to 3 months. Skipping that step, it warns, turns marketing automation into an expensive email tool ("高い配信ツール").
Support, trial and pricing
Shanon says new customers get onboarding training from a dedicated staff member, and free support by phone and email after introduction ("電話・メールでの無償サポート"). The homepage announces that a SHANON MA trial is open for applications ("シャノンMAトライアル受付中"). The site links a price page, a page on its support system, a Q&A, a reviews page, seminars, case studies and downloadable guides. Beyond the software, Shanon offers consulting and a marketing operations outsourcing package, and solutions for event marketing, seminar marketing, trade show follow-up, digital and analog marketing, marketing DX and local government DX.
The headline price is from 60,000 yen a month before tax, and the blog's banner says that figure covers MA, SFA and business card management together ("月額6万円でMAもSFAも名刺管理も").
The wider Shanon lineup
Shanon presents four services: SHANON MA, SHANON EVENT, SHANON SFA and a CMS. SHANON EVENT is an event management system covering promotion, registration, attendance management and post-event follow-up, built as a semi-custom system. The CMS, sold as vibit CMS Neo and vibit CMS cloud, ranges from low-cost packages to custom development. The product menu also lists SHANON Ad Cloud. The company's stated mission is "Marketing is Science".
Who SHANON MA suits
SHANON MA suits a Japanese B2B company that already sends newsletters from an email tool, collects leads at trade shows, seminars and on its website, and wants all of them in one history with sales follow-up driven by behavior. Shanon's own guidance is that marketing automation starts to pay when leads run into the thousands and sales can no longer follow every one, or when lead sources are split across cards, forms and event lists. Unlimited sending and bundled SFA suit a team that emails often and has no CRM yet.
By the company's own account, a business with a few hundred leads that sales can track by hand, mainly sending announcements, is served well enough by a plain email tool. The Japanese-only site also makes this a product for the Japanese market.
