What SATORI is

SATORI is a marketing automation tool made in Japan by SATORI, Inc., built for B2B companies that want more leads and a better handoff to sales. It sends newsletters, targeted email, step email sequences and retargeting email, and it pairs that with web tracking, pop-ups, forms, landing pages and scoring. The homepage describes it as a domestically made tool ("国産のマーケティングオートメーションツール") that creates contact points not only with "名前のわかる見込み顧客" (prospects whose names you know) but also with "匿名の見込み顧客" (anonymous prospects). The site is in Japanese.

The company says more than 1,500 companies use it ("導入実績 1,500 社以上"). The homepage also shows a "使いやすさ No.1" (No. 1 for ease of use) badge, footnoted as the highest average ease-of-use score in the B2B marketing automation category among reviews posted on the review site BOXIL, for July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024. A second footnote cites a Leader award in the marketing automation category of the ITreview Grid Award 2026 Winter.

The approach: anonymous prospects first

SATORI's pitch rests on one idea. The homepage says typical marketing automation tools act on personal details collected through inquiries, so they mostly reach named contacts, while SATORI can also work on anonymous visitors before they ever make an inquiry. The tool tracks behavior on the customer's website, finds prospects showing strong interest, and tells the person in charge when the moment is right to approach them. SATORI's own blog calls this "アンノウンマーケティング" (unknown marketing).

The product is organized around three jobs: acquiring prospects (見込み顧客を獲得する), nurturing them (育成する) and managing them (管理する). The homepage lists the problems each solves, such as not knowing who visits the site, traffic that does not turn into inquiries, a thin list of sales targets, not knowing when to contact a lead, and business cards that sit unused.

What a sender gets

Email features

The company's own comparison article on email delivery systems gives SATORI's email feature list in full: opt-out handling, reflection of send status, scheduled sending, newsletter sending, targeted email, step email, retargeting email, HTML email creation, responsive design, automatic name insertion, open and click measurement, and A/B testing. In plain terms, a marketer can build HTML newsletters that adapt to phones, personalize them with the recipient's name, segment by attributes and behavior, schedule sends, run multi-step sequences, and follow up with visitors who took a particular action on the site.

Behavior-triggered automation

The difference SATORI draws between a marketing automation tool and a plain email tool is automation tied to behavior. Its blog explains that such a tool can automatically email a prospect who viewed a specific page, and can branch a step email sequence depending on what the prospect does. It gives "資料請求した人" (people who requested materials) and "特定ページを閲覧した人" (people who viewed a specific page) as examples of audiences that trigger step or trigger emails. Scoring turns a prospect's stage into a number, so the team can approach the most likely buyers first.

Web engagement, forms and pages

Beyond email, SATORI's marketing automation features include a list of companies visiting the site, pop-ups, personalization, web page creation, form creation, push notifications, scoring, hot alerts, a customer information view, deal information management, goal setting and campaign management. Pop-ups and push notifications are used to steer visitors to forms. In August 2026 the company announced a company information enrichment feature (企業情報エンリッチメント機能).

Setup

The homepage says no database design or implementation work is needed: a customer embeds a measurement tag on its website and can start the same day. It describes the interface as simple enough for beginner marketers with little automation experience.

What SATORI says about itself

SATORI's blog is open about the trade-off. In its table comparing email delivery tools with marketing automation tools, it lists as a drawback of marketing automation that its email-specific features are "あまり豊富ではない" (not very extensive), and it rates newsletter back-number management as only partly supported by such tools. It also says marketing automation costs more and is harder to introduce than a dedicated email tool.

Pricing and trial

The company's comparison article, with prices as of July 2025, gives SATORI's cost as an initial fee of 300,000 yen and a base fee from 148,000 yen a month ("基本料金:148,000円~/月"), and notes that a free trial is available ("無料トライアルあり"). The number of registered addresses and the number of sends are both listed as "要問い合わせ" (ask the company). The article adds that the full set of email and lead-nurturing features comes in the basic plan. The site offers quotes and inquiries (お見積・お問い合わせ), a product brochure download and free seminars.

Support

Support is one of the three features the homepage highlights. It says specialist staff help with how to use and configure the tool, and that beyond online help and online support, SATORI runs seminar videos, user group meetings and hands-on operational support from an assigned person. A customer success program covers a smooth start with seminars and meeting programs, a knowledge base with a support center available for questions, and professional support from strategy planning through execution, including help with day-to-day operation and web traffic acquisition. There is also a partner program with a partner list, and the site links an information security policy.

Customers

The homepage features three case studies. Kanto Seisakusho, a B2B manufacturer and retailer with 101 to 500 employees, used the pop-up feature so that a single marketer with no marketing experience grew annual new inquiries from about 100 to more than 350. jeki (株式会社ジェイアール東日本企画) started inbound marketing during the pandemic and held more than 100 online consultations. Fukoku Life, an insurer with a B2C business, uses SATORI to follow up prospects who do not answer the phone. The blog adds Edge Technology, which moved from an email-only tool that could measure only opens and clicks, brought landing page creation, email and analysis in-house, and saw seminar attendance double.

Who SATORI suits

SATORI suits a Japanese B2B company, especially one with a small marketing team, that wants to find interested companies among its anonymous web traffic, capture them with pop-ups and forms, nurture them with step and trigger email, and hand scored leads to sales. The same-day tag setup and heavy support program are aimed at teams without automation experience.

It is a poor fit for a business that mainly sends newsletters and campaigns to a list it already has: SATORI's own blog says a dedicated email tool is enough for that job and costs less. With a 300,000 yen setup fee and a base fee from 148,000 yen a month, it is priced for companies that expect the lead pipeline to pay for it, and the Japanese-only site makes it a tool for the Japanese market.
