What RD Station is

RD Station is a Brazilian marketing and sales software company, and RD Station Marketing is its email and marketing automation product. It sends email campaigns and automated nurture sequences, builds landing pages, pop-ups and forms, scores and segments leads, and can add WhatsApp and SMS messages to the same automation flows. Its pitch is that "marketing e vendas funcionam melhor juntos" (marketing and sales work better together), so the marketing product sits beside RD Station CRM and a service and chatbot product called RD Station Conversas.

The company's office is in Florianópolis, according to the contact block on its site. Its English About page says RD Station has more than 50,000 customers in more than 50 countries, more than 2,000 partner agencies, more than 600 affiliates and more than 1,000 employees. The same page says that in March 2021 RD Station was acquired by TOTVS for R$ 1.86 billion. The main site is in Portuguese, with Spanish and English versions.

What a sender gets

Email campaigns

The email builder lets you start from scratch or from a library the site describes as more than 100 templates made by specialists, and you can also import an email written in HTML. Around the editor sit the tools that decide who receives what. An engagement history separates engaged, disengaged and invalid contacts so you can improve your sending rates. A feature called "Envio inteligente" (smart send) delivers each email at the hour a lead usually interacts, and an A/B test compares subject lines to find the one with the better open rate.

Sending volume is tied to the contact base. The plan comparison on the Brazilian pricing page sets monthly email sends at 5 times the contact limit on Light, 7 times on Basic, 10 times on Pro and 12 times on Advanced. RD Station also charges only for active leads, the contacts you can actually email, and not for inactive ones who unsubscribed or whose addresses bounce.

Automation, segmentation and scoring

Automation comes in two levels. Every plan includes the initial level, which creates linear email sequences. The advanced level adds branching automations with segmentations and different paths, plus A/B tests of whole flows, by email or WhatsApp. Segmentation is available on every plan and works on contact data such as engagement with landing pages, email and form answers. The pricing FAQ is clear that lead scoring, lead tracking and advanced automation are only available on Pro and Advanced. Lead tracking watches the key pages of your site so you can respond to leads who visit them, and the Pro and Advanced plans store tracking events at 25 times and 60 times the contact limit, for 12 and 30 months respectively.

Forms, landing pages and other channels

Landing pages are included in every plan, with themed templates, a form builder, smart forms that change their fields based on what a lead has already told you, A/B tests of landing pages, and multiple landing page domains. Pop-ups, a WhatsApp button for your site and an Instagram link-in-bio page are also part of the product.

Beyond email, WhatsApp runs through a WhatsApp Business API account created inside RD Station Marketing, with message templates sent to Meta for approval, links in messages and an automatic reply; the pricing table lists it from R$ 305 a month. SMS can be added to automation flows too. Web push notifications come with monthly credits of 1,000 on Light, 4,000 on Basic, 20,000 on Pro and unlimited on Advanced. The product also schedules social posts to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, pulls in Meta Lead Ads contacts, and builds audiences for Google Ads and Meta Ads.

AI features

RD Station groups its AI under the name LYNN. On the marketing product that includes a subject line generator, a title and call to action generator for landing pages, a social post generator, smart send and a "Lista Inteligente" (smart list) that picks the contacts most likely to become customers. The Pro plan also lists integration with any AI on the market through MCP, and the product page says tools such as ChatGPT and Claude can be connected to answer questions about leads and the funnel.

Integrations and API

The pricing page counts more than 125 integrations in the RD Station App Store, plus a native integration with RD Station CRM that passes conversions and opportunities between the two products. For online shops it names integrations with Shopify, Tray Commerce, VTEX, Nuvemshop, Loja Integrada and Wix. The Shopify integration page says the connection recovers abandoned carts with automated emails or WhatsApp messages and segments leads by purchase behavior, order history, average ticket and revenue; it is available in Spanish, English and Portuguese. The product page also describes RFV segmentation (recency, frequency and value) for ecommerce. Developers get an API and an API Center with documentation, with a request limit of 120 per minute on most plans and 500 per minute on Advanced.

Plans, prices and support

The Brazilian pricing page lists four plans, all billed in reais:

  • Light: from R$50 a month for the first 3 months for new accounts, after which the price returns to the standard rate. The FAQ gives an example: 1,000 contacts cost R$ 50, and a base of 1,001 moves up to the tier of up to 2,000 contacts at R$ 90.
  • Basic: from R$309 a month.
  • Pro: from R$649 a month, with a mandatory custom implementation of R$1.499.
  • Advanced: from R$1.699 a month, with a mandatory implementation of R$1.999.

Light and Basic can be canceled at any time without a penalty and are capped at 100,000 contacts; Pro and Advanced have a 12-month minimum contract. When a base grows past the contracted tier, the plan moves up automatically and RD Station sends an alert. Paid extras include a dedicated IP at R$ 347 and an email validator from R$ 44. Credit card works on every plan, boleto only on Pro and Advanced. The free trial lasts 10 days, with no card required and no automatic charge at the end. An English pricing page shows USD prices that it says are valid only for Argentina, Chile, Ecuador and Peru.

Support grows with the plan. Light gets chat for the first 30 days, then email and WhatsApp. Basic chooses between chat, email and WhatsApp. Pro adds strategic help from specialists, and Advanced adds video calls and a customer success manager. Chat runs from 9h to 18h on business days. The site says help is available in Portuguese, Spanish and English, with a 97% satisfaction rate. A paid Suporte Prime tier offers a WhatsApp channel available 24/7 with a response SLA of up to 15 minutes.

On data protection, the plan table lists LGPD features: legal bases for processing, segmentation by data protection status and double opt-in. The English site links a GDPR page in its footer.

Who RD Station suits

RD Station Marketing fits a Brazilian small or midsize business that wants email, landing pages and automation in one tool, priced in reais and supported in Portuguese. Light and Basic suit a team taking its first steps with monthly billing and no lock-in. Pro and Advanced suit a company ready to commit a year, pay for implementation and use lead scoring, advanced flows and a CRM handoff. Online shops on Shopify, VTEX, Nuvemshop or Tray get cart recovery and purchase-based segments. The caveats are structural: the tools that make it a real automation platform sit behind the annual plans, and a company outside Latin America will find most of the offer built around the Brazilian market.
