Freshworks is a business software company whose marketing automation product, Freshmarketer, sends email newsletters, SMS, WhatsApp and social media campaigns and runs automated customer journeys for companies that want marketing tied to their sales CRM. The Freshmarketer page opens with "Transform your marketing to boost revenue growth" and promises to "Generate sales-ready leads, amplify multichannel engagement, and drive business impact with AI-powered marketing automation." Freshmarketer sits in a product family that the site lists as Freshsales (a sales CRM), Freshchat (customer messaging and live chat), Freshdesk, Freshdesk Omni and Freshservice, plus the Freddy AI layer and the Freshworks Platform underneath. This entry covers Freshmarketer, the part of Freshworks that sends marketing email.
What a sender gets
Campaigns and channels. The page frames Freshmarketer around three verbs, "Attract, nurture, & convert", and one platform for several channels, listing "email, SMS, WhatsApp, or social media" and telling senders to "engage with customers on the channels they like." The capability list repeats this as multichannel engagement: "Reach customers on their favorite channels from a single platform." A customer quoted on the page says the team could track click-through rates, plan a proper email marketing campaign and segment its list, and another used Freshmarketer for an email newsletter. So a sender gets a regular email campaign tool, with SMS and WhatsApp next to it rather than bolted on through a separate product.
Automated journeys. Under "Improve efficiency with advanced automation", the page says you can "Build always-on, multichannel journeys in minutes to nurture leads, recover abandoned carts, drive repeat purchases, and improve retention." The capability called real-time customer journeys is described as the ability to "Create automated cross-channel journeys to drive business outcomes." Abandoned cart recovery and repeat purchase flows mark this as usable for online retail, while lead nurturing points at B2B sales teams. One customer on the page describes using Freshmarketer as a retention tool because it offered "a lot of automated flows."
Segmentation and data. Freshmarketer builds what the page calls "a unified view of customer interactions with your website, past campaigns, and sales teams," from first-party data. On that data it runs "AI-driven lead scoring and predictive segmentation," and the capability list adds "custom and predictive segments" to "Identify the right audience for each campaign." Behavioral segmentation sits in the same feature heading.
Freddy AI. Freshworks' AI assistant is part of the marketing product. The page says you can "Craft campaigns effortlessly with your AI-assistant" and that Freddy AI for marketing lets you "Launch personalized campaigns 10x faster with AI-powered insights and content." On the Freshsales page, the same Freddy AI highlights the most promising leads and deals, gives intent scores and even writes emails for salespeople.
Lead capture. Senders can "Create customized landing pages, web forms and intelligent chatbots to capture leads and accelerate sales." The conversational marketing capability is described as using "AI-powered chatbots to capture leads and accelerate sales." Captured leads then feed the scoring, segments and journeys above.
Analytics. Performance analytics and CRO are one of the six named capabilities: "Analyze campaign and website performance to drive higher conversion rates." The page does not break this down into individual reports.
Sales alignment. The page's closing pitch points to the Freshsales Suite, which it describes as "one complete CRM solution with a single source of truth for each customer's journey," so sales and marketing can share context and customize communications. For a buyer this is the main reason to choose Freshmarketer over a standalone email tool: the marketing contact, its email engagement and the sales pipeline live in one system. The Freshsales page quotes a customer who gathered intent data from email engagement to profile its audience.
What the company's pages state
Pricing. A banner on the Freshmarketer page reads "New pricing plans! Get all features starting at $15." The page links to a separate pricing page but does not print plan names, contact tiers or billing terms, so the $15 is a starting point only. The Freshsales banner, for comparison inside the same company, reads "Starting at $9."
Free trial. The page offers a trial: "21 days. No credit card required. No strings attached." This is a time-limited trial of the paid product, not a free plan.
Migration and onboarding. Freshworks offers to move you over: "Migrate contacts, campaigns, and historical data from your current Marketing Automation or CRM Platform with our dedicated onboarding team," and adds that this is "Absolutely free of cost!" For a team leaving another platform with years of campaign history, a free migration with a dedicated onboarding team lowers the cost of switching.
Integrations. The page says you can "Integrate with any of 1000+ Apps in the Freshworks Marketplace to get started in minutes!" and has an Integrations tab. It does not name individual apps on this page.
Scale. The page says Freshmarketer is "Trusted by 74,000+ Businesses Worldwide."
Customer results. The testimonials give specific figures. The CEO of NatXtra says that after starting to use Freshmarketer for its email newsletter, "we saw the open rates increase from 19% to 46% and the click rates increase from 1.6% to 5%," which it credits with more website traffic and a 5% rise in revenue. Evans Manufacturing, Greenpoint Global and a company whose co-founder praises its automated flows are the other named voices.
Support. The footer's Support & Success column lists Support, Training & Certification, Services, a Student Academy and a Community. Sales can be reached through a contact sales route and the email address sales@freshworks.com. The site has a language menu, and the pages carry a Security link and a Privacy Notice in the footer.
Who it suits
Freshmarketer fits a growing company that sells through a sales team and wants its email, SMS and WhatsApp marketing in the same system as its CRM, especially one already using Freshsales or Freshchat, or planning to. An online shop gets abandoned cart and repeat purchase journeys, a B2B team gets lead scoring and nurture flows that hand warm leads to sales, and a team moving from another marketing automation or CRM platform gets free migration of contacts, campaigns and history. The 21-day trial without a card makes it easy to test before buying.
It is a heavier choice for a solo writer or a small club that only needs to send one newsletter a month. The product is built around lead scoring, predictive segments and cross-channel journeys, and much of its value comes from the connection to the Freshworks sales CRM, which a sender without a sales team would not use.
