BIGContacts

Tap a star to rate

BIGContacts is a CRM with built-in email marketing, made by ProProfs for small and growing businesses. It sends personalized bulk emails, automated drip campaigns and scheduled follow-ups from the same place the contacts, deals and tasks live. The homepage tagline is "Easiest all in one CRM for contact management, email marketing & deal tracking," and the company's own blog positions it for teams moving off spreadsheets, Excel or a personal inbox.

Email campaigns and drip sequences

The FAQ on the homepage answers the email question plainly: users can "Send personalized bulk emails, run automated drip campaigns, or schedule follow-ups to go out automatically." Every email is tracked, so the sender sees who opened, clicked or responded. The pipeline section adds that campaigns "can automatically adjust and send emails based on days passed, or key events like when a contact enters a new sales stage," which ties email sequences to where each prospect sits in the sales cycle.

The company's blog article on CRM email marketing, written in the first person, describes setting up a drip sequence as picking a trigger, writing the emails and setting the delay. A second blog article on bulk email software describes building a segmented list tagged as warm leads or past clients and sending one campaign to all of it without exporting or switching tools. It also says DKIM domain authentication is set up by the support team, that templates are ready to personalize, and that the reporting dashboard covers open rates, click rates, unsubscribes and spam marks. The feature named Autopilot runs email sequences based on pipeline stage and behavioral triggers.

Lists and segmentation

Contacts are grouped with tags and filters. The FAQ says users can build lists for audiences "like customers, partners, donors, or leads from a certain city," and that lists update automatically when new contacts meet the criteria. The homepage mentions both dynamic and static campaign lists. Custom contact fields and dropdowns let a team store whatever it needs without code.

Contacts, companies and import

Each contact profile carries a timeline of emails, calls, tasks, notes and meetings. Adding a contact with a company name creates and links a company record automatically, so a business account gathers its people, activities and deals in one profile. Contacts can be sorted by pending or upcoming activity, opportunity, last contact or last communication, and added in an Excel-like grid.

Contacts arrive by email, spreadsheet, manual entry, web forms or webhooks, or the team can ask BIGContacts to import them. The AI contact import takes Excel, CSV or Google Contacts files, maps fields, flags duplicates and summarizes what is new or missing, with "up to 10,000 records at a time" and a log of every import.

AI features

AI runs through much of the product. The AI Marketing Campaign Designer takes a goal and audience and "builds the full campaign for you. Newsletters, welcome emailers, promotional offers, and more, written and formatted, ready to send." The AI Email Writing Assistant takes a quick draft and will "improve the content, sharpen the message, fix the tone, and make it sound exactly how you intended." AI Search finds contact details across scattered records. AI follow-ups and reminders send check-ins at the right time, an AI pipeline tracker flags stalled deals, an AI dashboard scores leads and flags inactive contacts, and an AI report summary reads each report as it opens and puts the key points first.

Sales pipeline, tasks and reporting

Because it is a CRM first, the sales side is substantial. Users build a custom pipeline with stages, track commissions and customize the process to their sales flow. Tasks carry priorities and recurring reminders, meetings and important dates are tracked, and a calendar sits alongside. Reports come ready made or from a custom report builder covering sales, marketing, contacts and team activity; they can be exported in one click, scheduled, or used to trigger workflows such as reassigning contacts when action is pending. Workflow automation sets conditions and triggers across any module with date and time scheduling.

Teams get unlimited users with custom roles such as admin, sales rep or manager, each with its own access level from full editing to view-only. There is a mobile CRM, and the feature list also includes web forms and social media tracking.

Integrations

The FAQ says BIGContacts connects with Outlook and Google Workspace, so users can sync contacts, send and receive emails and log every conversation automatically. The homepage mentions an integration with Microsoft Outlook Tasks for real-time updates, and Google Contacts is an import source. The company's bulk email article says tools like BIGContacts offer Outlook integration through email forwarding or Zapier. Beyond these, the pages do not list a directory of named apps.

Plans and prices

The company's blog articles give the pricing: "Forever free for small teams. Paid starts at $9.99/month," and a forever free plan "for up to 100 contacts." The homepage FAQ explains the model: pricing is "based on the number of contacts, not users. You can add unlimited team members without paying extra." Sign-up needs no credit card. The bulk email article lists as a drawback that the free plan comes without a dedicated account manager, unlike the paid plan, and both articles note there is no downloadable or on-premise version. During the trial the team offers free setup guidance and personalized onboarding, including help importing data and customizing fields.

Support

Support is a selling point for ProProfs. Phone support with product experts runs Monday to Friday, 8AM to 6PM EST. Live chat is available around the clock, with an agent in "under 2 minutes," and email gets "a response within one business day. Guaranteed." A help center holds more than 1000 articles and video guides. The homepage says ProProfs is "building a 100-year company" and still offers phone, chat and email support. Customer quotes include a general manager who runs more than 136 condominiums in the system.

Who it suits

BIGContacts suits small businesses, nonprofits, contractors, coaches and startups that keep contacts in spreadsheets today and want a CRM that also sends their newsletters and follow-up sequences, with the free plan covering a first list of up to 100 contacts. Sales-led teams get pipeline tracking and stage-based emails in one place. A marketer who needs a dedicated campaign tool with a large integration directory, or a team that wants to host the software itself, will find the CRM focus and cloud-only model a poor fit.
